Chip and Dale. They meet as ewoks over by Sci Fi. That line I have heard is about 30-45 mins. I'd imagine in the morning it'd be less bad but... I can't promise you. They start at 9:05 so you line up there hopefully before 9:05. Assuming you aren't too far back inthe line, I say you could be done with these characters by 9:30. I have to express it's super important you get in line for Mickey very early to ensure you can get the 8:00 set and the 8:30 set done.

Hope this helps! I don't have a picture with Chip and Dale as I'm not going to SWW this year ( :( ) but here is the gang :) R2 MK will not be there, he starts at 12 if you are interested in that.

Can anyone confirm Chip and Dale as Ewoks? We love chip and dale and totally did not see them last year!

I could swear they commented about future movies in a few years when they had either actor introductions or something on the stage.

YES, Chip and Dale were ewoks, there are photos and such yulilin3 posted on the post here.

Does anyone know what time we need to get there to get FPs for Jim Cummings?
veryha rd to predict since he's never been here but a lot of people don't watch or are not interested in the Clone Wars but since he's done so many other voices not sure, sorry I can't be of more help

Yes, they are brand new this year, here's a picture of them:

Chip and Dale are indeed Ewoks this year. Their M&G is near Sci-Fi Dine in. They are also in the parade.

Not sure what there is to announce...Episode VII was already announced. We know they are working on two other standalone movies, but they may not be ready to announce yet. Rebels was just announced today (although they could have waited until the weekend).

Okay thanks everyone!!!! So glad we did not miss Chip and Dale lasy year! Finally caught up on the thread.....I am alittle late to planning our trip this year we will be attending Friday 5/31!

As I said, I was hoping for an announcement about Celebration VII. That there would be one and where it would be. Since if it followed as previously, it should be next year in the US. I was expecting more information about the future of Star Wars animation during Behind the Force.

On Starwars.com when the series got cancelled, Dave Filoni had hinted that there was hope for seeing future arcs of Clone Wars. I expected a little more information about these arcs as bonus material. http://starwars.com/news/a-new-direction-for-lucasfilm-animation.html

Announcements may not have been ready for any of that. If contracts aren't signed, they can't make announcements. Doing so prematurely will generally torpedo the negotiations.

As for the finished segments of Clone Wars, I don't believe they now how they are going to handle them yet. So again, can't announce what they don't know yet.

I haven't heard of any executive or producer sightings yet. When you see them, you might see an announcement.

I am trying to plan our day for SWW. We will be going on Friday May 7. I'm not sure what order we should do things. I just don't know how much time I need to allow to meet the characters. Here's what we would like to do.

These things are the most important
Meet Darth Vader
Meet Luke (this will be tricky because of the rotation)
Visit Darth's Maul
TSM
Star Tours

If there's time DD would like to see
Voyage of the Little Mermiad
Disney Jr.
Beauty and the Beast

The parade is not a must do for us. We would rather spend time meeting characters or doing other things than getting a spot for the parade hours early.

What's the best plan of attack to get that stuff done?

Celebration VII will not be in 2013 so it is a bit early for that announcement. This fall is much more likely for an announcement. It used to be 3 years between Celebrations but 2 years seems to be the new norm since ReedPop took over. I did not go to C6 but C5 was a blast and I certainly intend on going to C7. But it's a bit early for that. Wish it would be this year!

Have someone go grab the family fastpasses for TSM at rope drop while you head to Vader's line. The best way to do him is immediately in the morning. He comes out at 8. You can also grab super quick pictures with the roaming storm troopers after you leave that. You can do Luke and Darth's Maul in one shot.

These are Luke's times from KennythePirate.com
08:30 AM – 09:15 AM
09:55 AM – 10:40 AM
11:25 AM – 12:10 PM
02:05 PM – 02:50 PM
03:20 PM – 04:00 PM
04:35 PM – 05:20 PM
06:20 PM – 07:00 PM

I suggest getting there 15-20 mins before his set. He alternates with Princess Leia and R2 and Threepio do stop by as well. The rest of that stuff I would just fit in around this. Perhaps fastpass Star Tours when your TSM fastass window is over?

We did all of that in one day last year plus more (except we did not do Beauty and the beast). You will get great advice on here but this is what I was told to do last year: arrive by 7:15am, get fat passes for TSM, go wait in Darth Vader's line. We then rode Star tours then TSM and headed to Darth Mall to meet the characters. The rest of the things you want to do whould be easily fit in....the only thing I am not sure about is Beauty and the Beast since we have never done it.

A quick pick from before the start of Hoopla. I was zoomed in a bit. We were standing just a bit closer than the close side of Hollywood & Vine, Hope that makes sense.

(not enough posts to officially post images, had to post in seperate reply)

As you can see, it was a sea of people. There were many who left during the show as it was a waste since they could not see a thing. Many kids and really just everyone were just watching the show on tiny viewfinders of cameras and camcorders that were held up. The big screen above was barely used for the show and could have showed the action instead of just titles and stuff for the entire show. I never thought to look left and see if the other big screen had the actors or the titles. I took a few stills, a few mini videos, then just downloaded the video and put it with my photos for memories. It does not matter if I took the video or someone else. I'd say, if you are not up real close, just download the video and use your time to do other stuff.

then you need to be there very early 2 hours plus or so the issue with hoopla is that its on the stage set up kinda like a rock concert.. well for people who arent very tall even slightly back its nearly impossible to see the stage at all due to people being in the way of your viewing angle. we werent back that far at all and my friend who isnt very tall could barely see the heads and there were kids crying near us who waited an hour and half or so like us that couldn't see the stage at all... also its going to be nearly impossible to just hold a spot for 8 people... people will be very pissed off if a big group pushes by them.

if you arent in a spot where they can see the stage like i said before make sure the screen from american idol to the left can be seen from where you are because thats the only way the little ones will be able to see whats going on if not they are just going to be looking at peoples backs the whole time.

You won't be able to hold any spots. I suggest you plan to have a picnic and bring a deck of cards or something to pass the time. We've done it before with little kids and it is doable as long as you are prepared.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I think Hyperspace Hoopla may be a pass for my family. I don't want to piss anyone off and that is why I asked my question. I also do not want to wait several hours for something I can watch online. I'll still take a look about an hour for the show, but won't twist anyone's arms who aren't willing to wait.

Boy I haven't even done this yet and I can already tell you they need a better theater for this. God forbid if there is ever a reason for a panic and a stampede!!! Not safe....

If anyone here, or their kids of course, are collecting autographs(characters not celebs) at SWW this year could you please shoot me a PM. I'm looking to make a gallery of all the SW 's signatures for future use, not just for myself, but for anyone who'd like them for scrapbooking, etc. purposes. I already have Luke and Leia's but I need everyone else's. A simple smart phone picture is fine :D Thank you guys!.

do you want pictures of the characters or their signatures?

yeah, the stage for hoopla is like a high school stage, if they had a spot like on the stage/setup at the castle it would be ok. Best would be just use the fantasmic area, that that would be probably way too big, but no unhappy guests!

Woah, hang on wait. It was the same CM?

I understand how you felt. I'm so disgusted by the way they acted and I'm sorry it happened and was hard on your boy.

Yes, it was the same two cast members. Like I said before, the rules are the rules. Just be consistent.

I am sure you and your family will have a great time again this year! Sorry our paths did not cross.

6/7/11 was when I got my confirmation email for registering for CVI. That was well over a year in advance to the celebration. Was that earlier than they usually released the info? That was our first celebration. Yes, it would be nice if it were this year. It was much more fun than I ever expected it to be.
