***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

Tell us more, why was it Magical?

As a PP has mentioned, it’s because I piloted the Falcon! It meant a lot.

Hearing my husband saying punch it when making the jump to light speed made my day.

I continue to be blown away by the lack of crowds I see (like in this video). I mean that is CHEWIE! Where is everyone? Check out the background there is no one around.
Oh how I want a reservation system to come to WDW,

We had the same during our 8 to midnight slot last night. Most people went by 11:30. We managed to walk by the Falcon and Tie Fighter with only 20 people around. Chewie was wondering around again but didn’t host another droid race which we were gutted about. It’s so much fun seeing what other people experienced as well!

@yulilin3 I asked about the fireworks last night. The first CM/Batuu resident just said they were celebrating Mickey’s birthday and it was called Mickey’s Mix Magic.

I persevered and moved over to another resident who I recognised from a great interaction we had from our first visit. She was looking up at them and looked happy. I asked what they signified and she said Oga must have run a bet on space ponies again and that she likes to celebrate!

😲 Well that’s a not in theme response...

That first cm would've had a piece of my mind. Thank you for asking

I know, it was really disappointing as I didn’t know how to react then. I guess they’ve had lots of questions about it. I didn’t want to ask another one but I didn’t want to leave it like that in the end.
I hope they come up with a better answer.

Looks like Disney is giving single parties an option to add more guests to their reservation. I wonder if this is to try and increase crowds a bit and see how things go.

There were issues in the reservation process where many (myself included) registered with the intention of adding multiple guests but didn't get the option or see the option. My guess is it's to correct this as if it was to increase crowds they would have allowed those with 2 or even 3 to increase guest counts too. My bet is many guests were unaware of an issue and assumed all people could just show up and the frontline CMs had to handle some unpleasant interactions and Disney just is fixing an issue that many had right away.

The odd part was there wasn't a confirmation of details page before finalizing but simply a "you are registered page." I chose to cancel my trip because of the issue but some were told to show up and explain to CMs onsite and others were being manually adjusted on the phone. Seems like an easier situation. There are some very lengthy discussion on the DLR thread specific to SW:GE about the registration issues. But as you said and it seems by all reports the land can actually support a few more guests pretty easily during the reservation windows.

We are a party of 5, and DW gets motion sickness, but as a SW fan, she is NOT passing this up. I will pilot, she will co-pilot, our 3 kids will have various other roles. Then on our next runs, DW will most likely not run, and we will just operate whatever roles we get, although with a now party of 4 or 3 or 2, we will work with the rest of our crew, especially if one of the kids wants to pilot, too.

However, that being said, I told my wife to not be offended when I call her Chewie when she needs to punch it. She said, she understands, but she will also be wearing her Chewie ears, so it works!

You may want to look back a page or 2 and find the link where the DIS guys shared their experience on MF. 2 of them suffer from motion sickness and both enjoyed the ride! One took something for motion sickness before they rode and still felt some effects but not bad. He was a pilot. The other said he did well (didn't mention taking anything) but he was also a gunner so was often looking away from the screen.

Thank you. I didn't want my post to get into too much of a ramble with side scenarios 😀
I figured that having some control over the simulator will allow her brain to compensate, this not making the motion sickness really all that bad at all. But still, we are planning on the possibility of her riding it fewer times than the rest of us, that's all.

Yeah it was pretty poor.

My husband gets severe motion sickness on Star Tours and didnt feel bad at all on Smugglers Run. Even when we had ‘bad’ pilots and were thrown around a bit. He comes off Star Tours at times looking a bit green!

I think the interactivity of MFSR helps with the motion sickness a bit

That’s good to know. I can’t handle Star Tours so I was trying to decide what to do when we go to Disney world in November. Think I’m going to try it
