***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

Has there been an official word about whether the Jedi Training Academy will continue in DHS once Galaxy's Edge opens?

I've heard stories that depending on how you did on Smuggler's Run it would effect how the "Citizens" of Black Spire Outpost interacted with you. Just wondering if anyone who went or know someone who did had that experience?

We haven’t had anything like that so far. I always thought that would be more in the Orlando land as they can track you via your Magic Band.

I had no problems flying home with my lightsaber. I wasn’t asked to take it out of the sleeve. It went through X-ray with my other belongings. TSA said “huh a lightssaber pretty cool” and continued reviewing the rest of my things. I did have TSA pre check.

I saw a comment to an article that mentioned a dd using the DAS on Smuggler's Run - that was on May 31st. So, if anyone uses DAS, it looks like it may be working in Galaxy's Edge.

HS can't do a reservation system at this point since people have already booked their rooms and made vacation plans with the intention of visiting GE. You can't tell people, oops, you need a reservation now and you didn't get one so you can't get into GE, sorry. There are a LOT of hotels in Orlando that qualify as onsite so there would be far more guests than available slots.

HS is going to regret not doing the reservation system because it's going to be a madhouse without one, but it's too late now.

Disney has had a disclaimer on their site since the opening date of SWGE wan announced that nobody is guaranteed access to the land. They can tell people they need a reservation so they can’t get in if reservations/virtual queue are full. This is what they’ve said since the very beginning.

I’ve had a reservation for the second week of September since last August and I am fully prepared to not be able to enter SWGE if I can’t get some sort of a reservation either ahead of our visit or the day of.

From the beginning they have said access is not guaranteed. They could certainly still implement a reservation system if they want to.

The capacity of the land is what is. The can decide to fill it to max capacity or limit entry the beginning. They can do this with or without reservations but it seems easier to control/manage with reservations.

Was waiting for this one

I am glad Craig commented on the quality of the beer flight cups and board and that he through they were of high quality - also pretty high on the actual beers which is good (though our tastes are a little different)
My dh wants this beer flight and I want a souvenir mug.....looks like an expensive visit to Oga's Cantina!
This is probably what I am going to end up doing this weekend between the 2 merchandise experiences. I won’t be able to fit a lightsaber in my suitcase so I have to wait for Star Wars to open at DHS. I’m excited to build my own droid though. I just can’t decide which type I want and what colors lol!
We were talking about this last night....how are we going to get our light sabers home? Carry on? Cant they come apart for fitting in suitcases?

The DIS crew posted on Twitter about their experience taking the lightsabers home - had to take them apart and keep blade in case and fit under seat (didn't fit in suitcases or overhead bin)

There was a family in our session, I want to say two adults and 3 kids and they were only building one.
So it sounds like a "rules were made to be broken" sort of thing then. If they are going to allow 5 people to enter with only 1 to build the light saber then what's going to stop the next group of 10? If you have a rule, either follow it or don't have the rule in the first place.

Yes, perhaps I should have read the last page before posting the question? :rolleyes1
