Uggg....
Zero available reservations at Beaches and Cream through my entire stay at the Beach Club Villas - 9/13-9/20. Please let me know if anyone's got 'spare' reservations that they'll be dropping or canceling! According to CMs, B&C won't do carry out/ to go orders and we'd love to try this place (and get a Mickey sink). We've never stayed on property and this is one of those "you've gotta try it" recommendations from several friends.
You can also always ask the host if they have any walk up spots. I actually do have a reservation for B&C this trip but my last trip we did not, we just walked up and asked if we could be seated and they said yes! We did have to wait about an hour but it was worth it considering we didn’t even have an adr and decided last minute to ask. You never know when someone isn’t going to show up for their reservation and they can get you in. Worth a shot and good luck!

We are at YC those exact dates! The only time I could get for B&C during our trip was Mon. at 6:15 and I booked that at 60 days out. This is the 4th time booking dining for this changed dates trip and two other times I couldn't get B&C. Keep checking!

Got my Magic Band today.

Don't you just love seeing that box in the mail? A little bitter-sweet because I guess that's the last time I'll be getting one like that.

Got ours last week! I have the box sitting out open on the kitchen counter now so I can look at them and get a little pick-me-up as I countdown the days... experiencing major burnout right now and am looking forward to this trip! I sprung for the 2020 themed magic bands since they were half off and I figure it will be a memorable trip. lol

Excited about our upcoming trip but disappointed that I havent lost the weight I’ve gained since March!!! Too much “Great American Takeout” and helping to support our local restaurants...always like to lose a few pounds before Disney trips...

Yay! It's getting real now! We got ours way early for some reason- maybe since our trip was originally for April? I finally painted them weekend before last. I've been doing it for fun since our 2nd trip with Magic Bands. The first trip was when they were doing the trials of them in Nov. 2013, and it never crossed my mind. I am by no means an artist, I just have fun doing it. This time I did a Star Wars theme since it's DH and I's first time visiting BSO. In the centers I did "I Love You" with Princess Leia buns on mine and "I Know" with Han's gun on DH's, then added some of our favorite characters, vehicles, light sabers, and of course the Rebel symbol on the top little Mickey head. We still plan to get Magic Bands even if they cost extra cuz we think they're fun and an easy way to have everything "at hand" while we're there.

I didn't mean to use the "laugh" emoji on your post because I think it's funny you didn't lose weight you wanted to; but because I also had too much "Great American Takeout" the last few months and undid the weight loss I'd accomplished prior to that! I swore I'd lose some before our trip last month - nope. Then swore I'd lose it before our Sept trip but so far that hasn't happened either.......but I will say as a small business owner that it's wonderful you were supporting local restaurants

me too!! Just got on scale this morning and sighed I’m not doing well. Perhaps with no free dining and all the sweating I’ll fare better this trip.

i’d love to see your bands and how exactly do you paint on them?
husband and I are celebrating 24 years during this trip we got the I know I love you shirts! ;)

We’re going to Disneyland, 9/8 to 9/11!

Oh wait, with no opening announcement, I had to cancel that trip. So,... We’re going to WDW instead! I was able to change our flights for a very small cost and were able to get accommodations at a reasonable cost. We have a DVC trip planned with family Nov/Dec and had already purchased AP vouchers, so we’ll just activate them a couple of months sooner. We’ll be there 9/14 to 9/20, split stay at Kidani Village and Bay Lake Tower.

Hearing that Disney is opening up more AP slots and also lifting blackouts for CM's through 9/3. I wonder if that will be extended eventually through Sept and what this could mean for wait times and crowd levels.

A confirmed reservation from dvc rental store for Beach Club came up for our honeymoon dates and the price is right, so I'm going to switch from Pop to the Beach Club. Has anyone done this before? I am going to wait until we get confirmation before cancelling our current res. We paid in part cash and part gift cards, will the money go back to the GC or our bank card? If i cancel my Pop res, will it mess up my park reservations?

Any words of advice would be great

Yes I just did this! I switched from POP to Saratoga Springs Resort on Thursday. I then called Disney and had them ensure Saratoga was showing in my reservations before I cancelled POP. I went in this morning to MDE and all reflects correctly! So happy to be staying in a 1 bedroom villa versus POP hotel room. I was informed by the cast member how the refund is going to work. I encourage you to call to sort that part out.

All park reservations remained intact. :-)

Fantastic, this def eases my worry. I'm so excited because I've always wanted to stay there.

I got the email saying they received my payment and forwarded my info to the member, so now I'm just waiting for that part of the confirmation

Awesome switch! We were just at BCV again last month :goodvibes
The monies you used to pay for Pop from gift cards will be refunded to those gift cards; if you no longer have them Disney can issue a new E-gift card.

I still have them, I held onto them just in case. I'll use them to pay for our tickets, since we originally had a package, and will use the rest for food and all that fun stuff.

I'm following along on your trip report and totally thought, I need to go back and re-read their first day adventures 😁

Since I'm renting points, am I able to male a room request? I really just want a full balcony, nothing fancy.

Yes that's right 🤗 I'm slowly but surely getting through that lol and am on our 2nd full day now!

You can make a request but it needs to be made by the owner/through the owner. So you let the owner know what your request is and they put in on the reservation :)
