How would you split up Poly?

I still like the idea of BLT, but owner priority at BLT has limited value for our family giving we want to book 1 bedroom after owning for a almost a year now and understanding the booking logic a bit. I'm sure i will book into BLT in the future no doubt but it's not our highest priority item for us.

That's really the primary reason I have abandoned (mostly) my interest in owning at BLT. If you're ok with preferred views, especially 1 BRs, you don't really need to own there. Of course, the resort view rooms are pretty good bargain there, but there are so few of them, and so you have to be pretty on your game even during the 7-11 month window.

So, @Girlstar30 - maybe sell that BLT and buy more direct PVB points? . I'm mostly joking, but since you love Poly as much as you do, and I know you're a 1 BR+ person, if you're ok with preferred view at BLT, you really don't need to own there most of the time. Just something to consider.

The points chart is so horrendous I wouldn’t buy a Polynesian contract less than 75 points. With or Without CAF Fee.. That’s not the point. For me, the high buy-in cost wouldn’t provide me enough joy for the limited use.

I was able to very easily get a 2 bed preferred view also. I’m loving the value of it though, even for preferred.

I am scared to sell my AKV points because currently I use them as a SAP+ resort. If I sell them off and don't replace it with something else that means it must either come out of Aulani, RIV or Poly and we can't have that..

Polynesian points at least have the benefit of 11mo booking at the Longhouses. 80 points gets you a Thursday-Friday-Saturday or Friday-Saturday-Sunday in a Moorea preferred view in Oct/Nov.

Bank or borrow 80 and you can stay a week (160pts) in a resort view longhouse, even in Oct/Nov.

Bank & borrow (240pts every 3 years) and you could even actually stay Christmas week like you’re John Lennon!

Thank you! I feel fortunate to probably be one of the last to purchase a classic resort on sale.

Yes i think direct is necessary to have the whole experience!
