BTW- I *know* Sept is the height of hurricane season, but in many trips, we've always snuck in and out between the storms. Wondering if this is the year our luck runs out.

I’m heading there in the morning. So excited. We will be there til the 21st. Hoping no hurricane! Been there done that for Charley.

i am always checking too...it is 2020 after all . Right now our home state is covered in smoke so I suppose I figure that we just have to be alert to whatever we can and try our best to roll with the punches. We are here in wdw now and I have been watching the same sites you are. We will be returning home on Monday so I will be watching the fire site more closely. Getting my joy where I can

Both our '18 and '19 trips to California had us literally dodging wildfires. This upcoming trip to Florida may very well see us dodging downpours of water. Polar opposite vacations! Yep, "roll with the punches" is all you can do when you have no control over forces of nature! Ponchos and umbrellas packed.

Have faith! We are there 9/19-9/23 and are just going to hope and pray for the best.

LOL! I am a HORRIBLE packer. I used to have things all laid out 2 weeks ahead of time but now when it's just DH and I, I try on outfits the day before and pack that night! If the kids are coming I give it an extra day

We head down on the 14th. I've been watching the NHC site as well. I don't really know timeframes of how these storms develop though. Hope we can dodge a super wet trip.

We head down 9/18 thru 9/30. Staying at Universal with 3 Disney days. 1st universal visit for DH. Our last trip to Disney was back in ‘08 so been awhile. Had planned on cruising Barcelona to Montreal starting yesterday but happy to get any vacation this year. Still waiting for something to be changed/cancelled lol. Odds for this trip happening are getting better every day so guess I should start packing and allow myself to get excited for this trip!

One week from today we will be driving to Disney at this very moment (actually would have left 2 hours ago). I can never sleep the week leading up to a trip or during a trip. We have only 1 reservation booked (besides parks) and I am looking forward to the laid back schedule. We always go to Liberty Tree our first day, just a tradition. Just hope the crowds and tropical storms stay away. So excited to stay at Boardwalk for the first time.

It's finally here! My retirement celebration trip is here- after only having been delayed 5 months! We will be heading out for the drive down in about half an hour. We like to time it so we stop for lunch at Whataburger in Jacksonville- we miss them from living in Texas. I'll be sure to report in when we get back. Happy travels to everyone else too!

I just have to share! I have been stalking the Cinderella Royal Table reservations for the 24th and one just popped up! Yay, I have always wanted to eat there, just to be in the castle, do not really mind the Princesses will not be there.

We were there for Charley too That was crazy. But even more crazy was how it was sunny and all the parks except AK were open the next day. I was pretty sure there was going to be nothing left the next morning that night.

Tomorrow night, we check in to BCV for our first stay at a Disney resort! We're going to be so spoiled!

Not only spoiled staying on-site for the first time but spoiled being able to walk to 2 parks and having access to the best pool on property! We just got back from YC and LOVED it. Have so much fun!!

Good news! Disturbance #3 (now Tropical Depression 20) is forecast by computer models to turn north, toward the central Atlantic. No threat to land, including FL!
