**Official Sept 2010 Thread** Please post your dates and resort

after bouncing around the month of Sept we finally agreed on the week of the 27th! even though we practically just got back, i can't wait to go again! it just never gets old!!!

It's getting closer to the date!!!! Looking forward to getting away for a while. Although I am stoked about the trip that only means my grad. classes also start the same week. So I can take my sweet time and enjoy what summer vaca. I have left :cool2:

We are also doing WWOHP for the day on Saturday the 4th with my Uncle and his kids who live in West Palm Beach. Really looking forward to that. It'll be interesting to see how the crowds die down there if at all with the "slower season" approaching.

It's getting closer and closer :) we're down to 38 days and it's almost all completely paid. We paid it on the visa and that's almost paid off! :)

We booked this trip last May and it's hard to believe it's getting closer. Lot of problems with car/money problems and a death in DBF's family and me having problems in my summer job. This trip is very much needed :) Almost down to the month to go mark :thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear about the car/money problems and the death in the family. It's so true that we need to enjoy the time we have so ENJOY your vacation. And we'll all be counting down together for September!

Started the new job today and all is still set to go for CSR on August 28th!

Our computer was down the day our ME tags came in...so sharing that excitement now :thumbsup2

I think we're down to 42 days. I'm getting sooo excited about surprising my kids with the trip that I can hardly stand it. I've almost been so impatient I've considered doing it early a few times ... but then I get a hold of myself and just keep waiting.

list is up to date. Sorry about tardiness, work has been crazy.

We will be arriving August 31st for a week at POP. So I think that is 35 days:goodvibes

Feel your pain about the launch. We planned a trip for the March launch and it was pushed to April. Went to Kennedy anyway and had a great time, but sooo want to see a launch in person and time is ticking!
(My DS is loves Atlantis and watches its launches on YouTube constantly!)

You're odds are good that it will be delayed at least a day (especially if its cold). The cold is what caused the last two winter/spring launches to be delayed.

We went down for the return to flight launch in July of 2005 and booked a week just so we could increase the odds of getting to see the launch. We were all the way out at the viewing site about to get off the shuttle when it scrubbed! Of course there were technical problems and it didn't end up launching until after we left Florida. Disappointing but we still had a good time at KSC and Cocoa Beach (we didn't even step foot on Disney property that week:eek:).

This was at the height of my son's obsession with everything related to the space program (we're talking he knew details of every single shuttle mission ever launched including crew biographies and endless details of the payloads and science, he has every mission patch, etc). He's moved on to other obsessions, but he still watches NASA tv for every launch beginning at T-4 hours or whenever they start broadcasting.

We're both pretty sad to see our manned space program falling apart so hopefully we'll be able to catch the Feb launch. We actually just added two days at Vero (2/25 - 2/27) just to make it more likely we'll be able to attend when it goes. We're definitely not counting on anything, but fingers and toes crossed!

Oh, for you to get so close must have been tough! Hopefully, things will work out for you in Feb.

I hope by the time my son is really old enough to appreciate a launch NASA will be have gotten the funding it needed to continue with its new rocket program.
