OFFICIAL Sept. 2009

My DH and I will be celebrating a belated 16th anniv. while we are at WDW. I was trying to find something new and different to do and came across the Wishes cruise. I was able to schedule one for Sept 23rd.
Is anyone interested in sharing the cruise with us? We will be leaving our kids with a sitter so would like to have an (well behaved;)) adult only cruise. I already found one couple wanting to come. The cruise can hold 10 people. Let me know if you are interested. I can pm the details.

Oh, this sounds good... PM me the details! That's the day DF and I arrive (will be DH then, though, as this will be our honeymoon!)... we have ADR for Cali Grill, though, so not sure if we can work it out time-wise... but PM me the details and we'll see! I can't remember off the top of my head what time our ADR is....

We might be interested also. We do have ADR's for Cali on the 23rd, but PM me the details on the cruise. I'll see if DW would be interested!!

First trip on property. Going for DD and DS 8th birthday and the celebrate life (and like mickey&me celebrating jobs). Company will be aquired in the 4thQ of this year so we might as well go out with a bang.

Doing the Wishes Cruise, Hoop Dee Do and MSSSHP:eek:

We bought this year so we're having friends of our stay at SSR during the same time on our insentive points - should be a good time had by all!:grouphug:

I'll see you there...I'll be at BLT the same dates as you. We are celebrating my birthday and DD & DS's first visit. Plus my Mom's retirement. I can't wait!!!

Hi there :)

New DH and myself will be going to WDW Sept 8-15 for our honeymoon, even though we got married back on June 24th, 2009. We wanted to save some money and hopefully not get heatstroke! We'll be staying at the Caribbean Beach resort.

It will be my first time since I was a young child (been to Disneyland a few times, but Orlando only once, when I was 8), and DH hasn't been 1n 15 years. We are both looking forward to getting re-aquainted with the place.

If I may, what's a 'grand gathering'? I noticed that it's happening during when we'll be there. Is this something we ought to put on our schedules? Help would be appreciated.

Hey Whitewater - Congrats on your wedding and you'll have a great honeymoon!

DH and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary on 9/14-9/19, but our actual 25th anniversary was 5/14/2008 - but DH's father had just passed and we just couldn't get away until now (and now is turning out to be iffy too).

Anyways, I really came on here to say woo hoo :cool1::cool1: as we just got our ME stuff in the mail yesterday. I then went to Barnes & Nobles and bought a book about the magic of Disney, by xxx Veness. It is really interesting so far - wish I could remember the name this morning though (its home on my nightstand and I'm already at work).

Anyways - I just can't wait to get to Disney!!!!:mickeyjum:mickeyjum:mickeyjum

Congratulations! We stayed at CB on our honeymoon as well, 10 years ago! We can't seem to stay away from the place. You will both have a ton of fun!

A grand gathering is a group of 8 or more staying on property. There are various activities to do as a group.

ASMu-9/13-9/18. Free Dining PIN sucked us in.
We went to MK for a single day in April with DD who turned 4 on 7/4-we are really looking forward to not having to run wide open. :yay:

OK, I think I have really bad news for this Sept group. I was reading a thread about a rumor that Illuminations (fireworks show at Ep) will be changed to something new starting in Oct. One poster pointed out that 'the Disney calendar doesn't list Ill in Sept so maybe it's true.' I couldn't believe it then I checked the Disney World site calendar and sure enough there is no Ill listed for Sept. Last date listed is Aug 31 then starts up again Oct 1st.
When doing my planning I used TGM's calendars because it is so much easier that clicking back and forth on Disney's site. I am going to try and call Disney and find out if it is a glitch with the calendar or if there will be no Ep fireworks in Sept. I will let you know what I find out.

Definitely let us know! That is very big news if it will be taken down for awhile.

First you take my Living with the Land and now you take my Illuminations :scared1:

I just called and the computers are down so she couldn't give me any information. She said to call back this afternoon or tomorrow to see if their systems have different information than the website. I'll keep you informed.

Wow, thanks for the info!. That really sucks, though. It was one of the things I was looking forward too! Oh, well. Guess next time. We won't be there until Sept 19th, so maybe by then it'll be running. We'll see. Again, thanks for the heads up!
:thumbsup2

UPDATE on Sept Illuminations:
This is from the previous mentioned thread about Illuminations closing

'Just to reiterate: "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" is NOT ending on August 31. It IS running through September. It's missing from the calendar at disneyworld.com due to a glitch, which isn't uncommon for that site. If you visit the Epcot September calendar posted on the UK site, you will see ROE being performed every night:
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw...&date=20090901
So to paraphrase Mark Twain: The rumors of ROE's death have been greatly exaggerated.'

Plus I was finally able to get in touch with someone at WDW and she confirmed that Illuminations WILL BE showing in Sept.

Sorry to upset anyone - at least now I know how much I would miss Illuminations!

I'm starting to get excited:cool1: Staying at the POP Sept 18 - 23 for our first trip to Disney to celebrate birthdays!! My DS's birthday is 09/19 and my DD's birthday is 09/22. Any advice for a newbie???
