OFFICIAL Sept. 2009

maybe you could have a relaxing day by the pool or shop downtown disney? or maybe what I call a resort day.... go to the Epcot resort area and walk the boardwalk/beach & Yacht club/ Swan & dolphin eat at beaches and creme (beach club) or the ESPN zone (boardwalk) and just have another chill day that still has some fun new things in it to check out. also the swan and dolphin has a mini golf course out front you could possibly hit
I am thinking of dropping one of our days and just relaxing. We are probably going to need it. I just need to get out of the mindset that I need to cram as much as possible into those 7 days because I'm not sure when we would get back.

On my first trip I had every minute planned. DD got over tired, she was 5 at the time and DH got upset that I didn't allow any down time. I tried to make sure that we saw everything that I didn't plan any time for relaxing. I would take that day to relax, maybe go to a park for half the day.
This is exactly what I was doing even though I knew it wasn't a good idea. I do think that either I will only do a half day or take the day off and either go to DTD or just sit by the pool.

Kadee, I agree with PP- spend it at Downtown Disney and the Pool! Trust me, you will regret it if you go go go, if you have an extra day, spend it relaxing!
I do think that is what I will do. I think if I push too hard DH will never let me plan another trip.

Question for those who have never gone (or anyone who wants to answer)....

Is anyone else having problems planning out their days??

We are going for 7 days, non-hoppers, and I have most days figured out but I have one day completely empty and I am not sure what to put there. I don't even have an ADR in mind to plan around.

How many days should I think of spending at each park??

We went for 7 days in January and went to parks every day....to my hubby's chagrin. So, when we go in September we are staying 10 days, and spending 7 in parks with 3 staggered days in the middle!!! Hope this helps!

This will be my first Disney vacation and keep in mind I'm going solo and only 5 days. I guess I don't understand why anyone would want down time on a vacation. I can rest at home. I always jam pack my vacations no matter where I go. Up at 6 in bed by 2am. You might miss something other wise. I say run run run till you drop. That's what makes a vacation fun. I understand you might have to slow down a bit if you have children but they have to learn to live in the real world sooner or later. Sorry just my opinion.

THis is exactly what I do! :lmao: We got back on Wed and I was up at 6 or earlier everyday! I don't like to miss anything when I'm at WDW.(besides the best way to avoid the lines is to arrive at rope drop) For a little down time we would take the Disney boats when we could, to give us a little rest with lovely scenery. We love the boat rides from POFQ to DTD and from DHS to Epcot. Have fun on your first trip!:goodvibes

We will be there from September 22nd through October 2nd. Me the wife and our 2 little daughters. Also, the in-laws, going to be an excellent trip. We have doing our countdown since we booked it. Very glad to be part of this thread. I do hope everyone will have will have a very MAGICAL VACATION.

My DH is busy from early morning to late night so a vacation for him is a time of rest - that's why we plan down time. To each his own.

We'll be there September 29th - October 4th. We're staying at POR. It is our 3rd trip, (first time at this resort). But this one will be a total surprise for the kids; and we are flying for the first time. Plus we will be celebrating my husband's 40th & my daughter's 11th birthdays!!
Hi! I wanted to edit our information... I just changed our hotel to 2 connecting rooms at All Star Music for the same dates as above. I started to think about the sleeping arrangement in the room with the trundle bed and I just wasn't sure it was going to work. For $90 more to our total cost it was definitely worth it to now have 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms!

We will be at Pop - Sept 4-12th, free dining plan of course. :)

1st trip for the kids and wife.:banana::banana:

We've added our niece and decided to spoil her and take her to the Poly (instead of POFQ)! Same dates as before, 9/26-10/03. Our first time at the Poly and the niece's first disney trip!!

Just added two more nights onto the end of our trip! Now we're staying until 9/23!

After all, in matters of Disney, more is always better... even if you end up poorer for it. :thumbsup2

Sept 18th~26th...staying at ASMu....celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary Trip...1st trip without the kids as well....:cool1:

Add me.

We wil be at WDW from 9/17 to 9/26, staying at Kidani Village, Animal Kingdom Lodge.

It will be me, my wife, my son (5) and daughter (3). Also, my sister and my parents. We are celebrating the first Disney trip for both Joshua and Samantha (the little ones).

My sister is a DVC member and we will be staying in a 2-bedroom suite w/ savannah view in the newly opened Kidani Village -- super-excited about that.
