Anyone going to the Halloween parties? I bought tickets for the 23th and the 26th. I can't wait!!!

We'll be there the 23rd.....IF I ever get my tickts!!!!:cool1:

My tickets for the 23rd MNSSHP came in today but not the 26th yet. One ticket has Cinderella and her prince on it. The other ticket has Mickey, Goofy, and Donald riding the teacups. I already have the teacup design from a pirate and princess party that I went to in January. I was hoping they would come up with new designs. Oh well, they are still cute tickets.

We are staying at ASMovies

We are staying at POR that week. We are taking our daughter for the first time. She will be celebrating her first birthday on the 20th. We got all the ADR's we wanted though we had to be flexible with times and dates. The only bummer with that was that we wanted to go to Chef Mickey's for our daugters actual b-day dinner but they didn't have anything available. So we're going later in the week which will be fine. This is the first time we will be park hopping so that should be interesting too. It helped with being able to get the restaurants we wanted. We haven't been to WDW in two years so we're REALLY excited already. Our baby gets excited about everything so she should be a lot of fun (we're hoping she'll stay that way). My husband has started listening to Disney Podcasts (not something he normally does)to help with the planning. We got something in the mail yesterday and my son (5) was showing his baby sister the maps this morning and telling her which rides she could and could not ride. It was so cute!! :goodvibes

Yay! I finally got my tickets last week!! They are too cute. I have the Cindy/Prince and teacup ones too. Now, I am confused about the party. Do we have to leave at 4 and come back in? ( If I stay, I am trying to tell myself to go back to the hotel for r&r!) does the party start at 4 or 7? And what time do the non-partiers have to leave??

No you don't have to leave at 4 and come back in. There will be a check point inside the park to get your wristband and trick or treat bag. Last time is was near the castle. Any CM should be able to tell you where the check point is. Or you can go back to the front to get your wristbands but you won't have to exit the park.

The party technically starts at 7 but Disney starts letting party guests use their tickets at 4pm. This is good for people who don't want to use a regular ticket to get into the park. They can maximize the value of their party ticket by using it to get in at 4 (essentially 3 free hours of Magic Kingdom time).

The non-party ticket holders are suppose to leave at 7pm. Two years ago they would close the park completely at six to get rid of the party goers. Disney changed that practice and now they just leave the park open and tell people to leave by posting party signs and having CM's check for wristbands. The CM's are very good about checking the wristbands and won't let non-ticket holders ride any rides or even stand in line for a character greeting.

I highly suggest getting to the party before seven because the front can get quite crowded around 7 with people arriving and leaving at the same time.

Hmmm.....I forsee a call to the dining # in my immediate future.....

Keep checking back with Dining - people cancel ressies all the time so your date might open up. I've already been able to get some times that I couldn't get right after the free dining packages were announced. :thumbsup2

Your daughter has an awesome birthday :thumbsup2 (mine is the same day) and she's cutie! This is the first time I get to celebrate my actual birthday at the World too. Normally I hate my birthday, but this year I can't wait! :cool1:

Thanks. That must be a popular day we know 2 other people born on that same day as well. A very, very early happy birthday to you!!

I'm joining in at the last minute too! Just changed our dates to Sept 19-28.

Yay, welcome to the club! And I see from your sig that your husband is going with you for the first time? How cool! :thumbsup2

Yes he is and we're so excited! Since we've been married, I've been at least 8 times and DD has been 5 times and he's never gone along. He's said he would for at least 3 of those trips, but always backs out along the way. This time, though, he has promised DD and talks to her about it regularly so I know it's really a go! :dance3: :yay:  He'll probably only do 4 days at the parks with us, but we've both got our fingers crossed that help love it at least enough to go again. (He's kind of a loner by nature and by mental necessity so crowds, and even just the 2 of us around is a "crowd" sometimes ;) , and lots of togetherness is a little more than he can handle sometimes.)

Yep, my DH is similar, and hates crowds, but he definitely loves  Disney. Pixie dust to you that it's a magical vacation and your DH has a wonderful time with you and your DD pixiedust:
