Hey all!

PLLEEEASSEEE tell me if this is the wrong place to put this, or if there's already a thread for this somewhere!

Saw in a few other threads the idea of starting a thread specifically for those of us taking advantage of the last possible week of Free Dining and going to WDW Sept 20th until the 27th or 28th! We can... you know... discuss the weather and share ADR woes, etc.

I'll start: My wife and I will be at the POR (I hope... TA calling for us tomorrow to book!) Sept. 20th - 28th. We'll be "celebrating" our 3-year anniversary which is actually in October, but our vacation days only overlapped on this week. :)

Let's hear from the multitudes of DISers who are also going that week!

We too are going Sept 20-27th!!:yay: :woohoo:

This will be our kids first trip!! They are super excited!! We are staying at ASMO!

We will also be celebrating our 12 year anniversay on the 21st!!

I made all my ADR'S the same day I made our reservations for Free Dining on Monday when it opened.:banana:

I got, Hoop Dee Review for our first night. A little later time than I would have liked, but I got a reservation so I'm happy!:cool1: CRT for lunch on our anniversary!:love: :cloud9: Spirit of Aloha Luau, and Chef Mickey's for breakfast!!

Congrats on your 3 year anniversary!!:cheer2:

We're actually checking in on the 16th, but then staying through the 26th! (Two week trip this time!:banana: ) Got every dining ressie that I wanted at the time I wanted! Like the PP, I made all my dining the minute I knew I had my free dining ressie! :cool1: Staying at Pop this time. :thumbsup2

I'll be there from Sept 20-27. My husband and I are taking our 7 year old twins for our first time to Disney. We are staying at the POP. ADR's are already made. Just waiting to see if our reservation got transferred over to free dining okay.

I will be there the 22-28th on bounceback dining! We're staying at POFQ and taking grandma and DS with us!
It's also our 3 yr anniversary in Oct too! We like to celebrate early with free dining!

Me, dh, dd, and my 2 ds will be there Sept.20-27 at POR. This is our first trip so we are so excited. I'm just waiting to here from our TA to see if got free dining.

Hi All!
We'll also be there from September 20-27th! This was a last minute decision to book this week for DS's birthday since we'll already be there in November. This trip will be Me, my Mom, DS, DD, and DGD and we're trying out the VERY popular Pop Century.

We'll be at POR that week. Me, DH, DS, DD, DD...it is our second trip and right now I'm the most excited of anyone in my family. I ran into the kids room to tell them I booked our vacation this morning and they were excited...until I told them we still had 161 days to go :)

It must be anniversary week! We are celebrating our 15th on the 24th. My birthday is actually the day we leave. We are staying at the POR.

Hi everybody! :wave2: This will be our 2nd trip to WDW -- 9/19-9/26, POFQ, just DH and me, celebrating my b-day on 9/24 :goodvibes Nice to meet you all!

Where is everyone planning to eat on this Food Fest? We just booked so I'm still trying to finalize our plans but so far we have:

California Grill
Teppan Edo
Kona Cafe (before MNSSHP)
1900 Park Fare

I think I'm going to add Wave when they open reservations for it. I still need at least one more and am considering adding the Playhouse Disney buffet for DGD. I may also drop Cali Grill in which case I'd need two others to replace it. DGD is still a bit young to sit through such a long dinner - she went last year when she was 8 months and neither she nor her mother got to enjoy it much... :confused3

Our favorite counter service places are WPE and Cosmic Ray's so we'll definitely do those but I haven't decided on the others yet.

I'm going on a solo trip later this month and will be trying out Boma, Yak & Yeti, Tokyo Dining and Tutto Italia for the first time so if any of those are standouts I may add them. It's a tough recon mission but someone's gotta do it... :rotfl:

WOOT! :banana: :banana: :banana: Just got an email from our TA. We've got our FD ressie! 20-28 POR Standard View. Only downside is we have to push the double beds together... but whatever. :cloud9: It's Disney!

btw, MickeyFan, here's our ADR itinerary:

* Boatwright's
* Liberty Tree Tavern
* California Grill
* Boma
* Le Cellier
* Raglan Road
* Spoodles
* Rose & Crown
* Grand Floridian Tea
* Biergarten

Some of those are lunches. We're also planning to eat (CS credit) at:
* Flame Tree BBQ
* Tangierene Grill
* Flatbread Grill
* Village Haus

And of course stuff ourselves with free snacks at the Food & Wine Festival booths! :worship:

That's awesome that you got your FD, Keodark! :thumbsup2 Make sure your TA notes your anniversary on the reservation. Maybe you'll get some Disney magic and be able to snag a king bed room.

Looks like you have some extra TS restaurants on your list. Are you planning to pay OOP or are you going to splurge and upgrade to Deluxe Dining?

Have you stayed at POR before? If not, I think you'll like it. DH and I have stayed there on some of our couple's trips and loved it. I think it has fantastic ambiance. :love:

Yeah! I am glad to see someone started this thread.

My boyfriend and I will be staying at the Pop Century from the 20th thru the 27th. We plan on going to the Halloween Parties on the 23rd and the 26th.
We got all our ADR's. The only problem I had was with Coral Reef, had to accept a 4pm time when I would have preferred 5pm.

I will be also be celebrating my birthday on the 24th!!! ***Hope you have a great birthday KatieBell***

Our last trip we flew but this time we have decided to drive down because of the cost factor and because I hate flying.

Thanks MickeyFan :) Yes, we're planning to pay OOP for the "2-credit" restaurants so that we get our money's worth from the single-credit places while still eating everywhere we want to. We are splurging a little. :) I figured out that the deluxe plan wouldn't be worth the extra money, especially because we eat very little at breakfast (mostly dessert leftovers!).

We've never been to POR... in fact I've only stayed on-grounds once, in the RV camp! I'm very excited. :goodvibes

About the anniversary, I hadn't done that yet because it's kinda unofficial.. since our anniversary isn't technically landing on any of the days of our stay (2 weeks after we get back, really). I'd hate to have a cast member do something special for us and then find out we're half "faking" it!

We don't get there until 9/26 and leave 9/30. We are going there to celebrate our 9th anniversary at the Poly! :banana:

I am so excited to be able to go back again. Right now, we have a AAA discount. I am hoping for something better, honestly, I didn't expect FD.

Wowee! :jumping1:

:bday: to you too, MissJ! We are spending the 24th at AK because it's EMH that night -- I think it will be open until 8pm, so it will give us a lot of time in the park that day (we only have one AK day planned). We're also trying out Tusker House since it's now a TS buffet -- we loved it when it was a CS, and we also loved Boma, so gotta try it. Couldn't get dinner there, but got lunch. After AK closes, I think we'll head to DTD to keep celebrating -- Raglan Road (awesome music) and the Adventurer's Club :goodvibes

OK, folks...what are your ADR's?

We have:
9/19 - Epcot - Chefs de France - Dinner
9/20 - Epcot - Le Cellier - Lunch (couldn't get dinner, but oh well, I'll take a lunch there!)
9/21 - MK - 1900 Park Fare -- Breakfast
9/22 - TL, HS - 50's PT -- Dinner
9/23 - Epcot - Rose & Crown -- Dinner (hopefully a good time for Illuminations)
9/24 - AK, DTD - Tusker House -- Lunch
9/25 - MK - Crystal Palace -- Breakfast
9/25 - MK - Grand Floridian Tea -- Late Lunch/Early Dinner (OOP)

I am thinking of trying for an OOP breakfast at 'Ohana on our HS day (DH loves Stitch :stitch2: and the breakfast was great last year) or maybe Boma for breakfast. Haven't decided yet. And I'm thinking I might need to make a late ADR, 9 or 9:30 for Raglan Road on my bday just to make sure we get a table. We'll probably have just drinks and dessert there, another OOP.

CS we'll probably hit are Tangierine, Sunshine Seasons, Yak and Yeti, Cosmic Rays, and maybe Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich.

Our last day is the first day of the F&W Festival, and we hope to use up any remaining snack credits before we have to leave for the airport...

How about you??? :listen: :listen: :listen:

Yep we will be there POP from the 20th to the 27th, not telling the kids about this trip until we get to the airport. MNSSHP on the 26th for us, great way to end a great trip.

pirate: pirate: pirate:

Katiebell - I didn't know AK had EHM, that sounds really cool. The 24th is my only non-Disney day. My BF is taking me to Sannibal Island for the day. It is going to be along day because it is a 3 hour drive to Sannibal. Good thing we love road trips.

Our TS's are:

9/20 Ohana for dinner *Arrival Day, MK after dinner
9/21 Boma for dinner *AK Day
9/22 Mama Melrose for dinner *MGM Day
9/23 Tony's Town Square for dinner (MNSSHP)
9/25 Coral Reef for dinner *Epcot Day
9/26 Crystal Palace for dinner (MNSSHP)
9/27 1900 Park Fare for dinner *Departure Day

We haven't really thought about the counter service's yet. The only one I have to eat at is Flame Tree Bar-be-cue, I love that place. We also plan to save our snack credits for the Food and Wine fest. We will be visiting that Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon. We plan on hitting the road around 4 on Saturday, if we can drag ourselves away from Disney ;)

I forgot to look at the hours of the parks. We don't really like the early morning hours but we do like the evening magic hours. I better hop over to allearsnet to get the hours and see if I need to rearrange any of our days.
