My plans (ADRs and FP+ booked) have us in AK on April 7. A night when ROL is dark. Is there a chance shows will be added?

I'm debating switching around days but I fear I won't be able to replicate all my fastpasses. (I'd be switching with a HS day and TSMM is the favorite ride in The World for most of us. I wish I could see if all the fastpasses I want to switch were available before I started giving up my current fp.

Or we could hop over to AK for one of the shows later in our week. But since we already have fp scheduled in another park I wouldn't be able to get one for ROL unless it was available as a 4th fp.

Or I could spend $15/person to add a day to our tickets and head over to AK on one of our rest days. Of course, I'm sure we could find other uses for that extra day so it wouldn't be spent all just for ROL.

Any thoughts?

After stewing on this for a few days, I went ahead and switched my AK day with my HS day. I was able to replicate all my fp easily, so I guess I really didn't need to stress about that. I got a ROL fp for the early show that night (4/9).
The more I thought about hopping over to AK or adding a day last minute, I stressed about not having a fp or dining package and having to wait in a long line.

I think I've guaranteed that Disney will now add a ROL show on our originally scheduled night (4-7).

I REALLY wanted a FP+, but alas was not able to snag one, but I did secure a Dining pkg. for the evening of 3/7. I honestly am not really that interested in actually dining at either location at the jacked up cost, just for a seat at the show, but was concerned that since it will still be so new we might not be able to get in otherwise. Does anyone have any thoughts on that? I have waited so long (well, we all have!) for this show that if it means I have to suck it up and pay for a meal at Tusker to be able to see ROL, I will, but if I were pretty confident we'd be able to do it without, I would happily forego the dining pkg. We are a party of just 2 people. Thoughts?? TIA!

I'd be interested in thoughts as well. I secured a Dining pkg. for the evening of 3/5 for much the same reason.

I'd keep the ADR for now. Once the show officially opens, with package dining also open, we'll get a sense of seeing RoL standby. You have until the day before to decide whether or not to keep the ADR, so keep a look out on RoL reports, especially standby experiences, and then decide.

Sounds like a solid plan! Thanks.

so when it opens up - I got a fast pass for saturday second show - should we continue to post in here our reviews or start new threads?

I don't want info to get lost in here but don't want to anger mods so I am not sure how to report any info.....

If you post a review in this thread, the OP, @WDWFantasmicFan, can link your post # in Post #1. That arrangement has worked quite well on the long-running SW thread and other *OFFICIAL* threads.

Seriously, DFB? Tips to see ROL with no wait: "Get a fastpass or book a dining package". Reaaaaally useful stuff. Thanks for posting @MrsGoofyMitchell. I liked the actual images in the video but I would have expected more helpful tips out of DFB!!!

I don't think their blog is aimed at the kind of folks that are on here, stalking for info and follow Disney content twitters etc.

And honestly at this point there isn't enough much else to go on. Once it runs regularly, once Pandora opens possibly changing structure and crowds ... we might, but right now we don't know the true workings of this.

Today is my 180 Day mark and the dining packages are not open after June 30. My arrival day is 8/15/17 anyone know what is going on with this and when they will be released. I tried the website and calling. Thanks for any info

What others have been doing is booking an ADR for one of the 2 restaurants and as soon as the Dining Packages opened up, they booked a Dining package and the system then asked them to Cancel the regular ADR.

has anyone heard when they may open the ROL dining package for July?

Our trip starts on June 30th and I want to book a pkg for July 2nd so I'm also checking the site daily for the packages to open up. I have called a couple of times and the only info. I was able to pull out of the CMs was that "they hope" they will be released around the end of this month... So for now I'll just keep checking every day. Very annoying.

I got a dining package for Tiffins for Saturday night 2/18. The forecast is 70% rain and I would hate to pay for the meal and be excited for premium seating only to have the show cancelled because of weather. If this happens am I out of luck or is there a possibility we get a voucher to use another night?

That's the case with other night time shows. I see no reason why RoL would be any different. But it's up to you to follow up and get the rain check.
It's very rare for other shows to be cancelled.

Edited to add "other".

That is my plan. I booked breakfast for 3/4 because I refuse to give up my Frozen Ever After fastpass for that day.

do you think there's a plan B, for doing the show but without the performers on the boats?
