Someone else posted on another thread that any work on the Volcano Pool has been postponed indefinitely. Can't confirm, just what I read here on the Disboards.

I have gone ahead and booked CR for next August. If I get closer to August and it's looking good, I will switch (as long as its still available under my 40% discount).... If its meant to be, it will be....

I agree with many of you, I simply am not paying Poly prices to deal with construction on the pool or GCH. I understand that for those of you that don't use the pools or the GCH as much, then it would still be a consideration. I am disappointed, but I will wait for it to be done before I book myself or others there.

CR and GF here I come! We also did a recent BC/YC again (3rd stay there) and loved it as always! But deep down, Poly is always our favorite. I will stay up on this thread and appreciate everyone's input!

I know the room renovation is supposed to be finished by the time we check in (Oct 6) but is it true Tahiti did not start on time? Has it started yet?

What are the chances we will get stuck in an old Tahiti room? We are staying TPV...What if it is closed when we are there? There are not many TPV rooms, and I thought the best were in Tahiti. (Also we want to be close to the TTC.)

I do not want an old room, but I was still hoping for Tahiti...what do you all think?

Yes, it was just renewed for next year thru end of Sept 2014.
There are a few blackout dates, but not too many.
We have been lucky enough to use it several years in a row.

It kind of makes up for the deployment separations when DH is away....we always have awesome Disney trips to look forward to after!

Disney is so great to military members.

I hope they don't use up more beach space. I really don't like the idea of the villas being built in the water. It will spoil the view for those in Tahiti. That beach is so quiet and peaceful over there.

Tikiman origianlly posted these on his FB page and I stitched them together - unfortunately it appears they are considering putting in 20 bungalows over the water so the view in Tahiti and Hawaii will be affected

I'm in the same boat for November. I'm worried about the pool being closed. I know that some have said not until Jan, but with 2 kids that would be a pain! I'm starting to lean towards BC (stayed there in August) but we'll see!

I'm sure if pool is closed they would allow you to use gf or cr.

We are coming Oct 6-13, booked TPV. I was just seeing what rooms are available during our trip (we are already booked) and it showed only TPV available for the length of our stay, so I'm guessing Tahiti is expected to be open, but who knows.

We did the same thing! We are going in late January and I don't know how far into their plans on the poly they will be
