***Official Planning Thread -DECEMBER 2024 - Welcome all!***

A bit of a change in plans for me. I had called in to see about split stays and MPLL and got talking with the CM about the current deals. Originally I had ASMo & POP so I could skyliner for my HS & Epcot day

I am now doing full Nov 30 - Dec 7 at ASMu.

Ticket upgraded to park hoppers and a refund of $500. As much as I wanted to enjoy two new resorts and be on skyliner route the deal was just too good to pass up lol. I figure I can Lyft to Caribbean on Epcot morning and get my skyliner experience to park to attempt Remy at EE. Now I’ll just keep telling myself the room is for sleeping $500 for shopping lol

Lyft to HWS 😊. They might not let you in at Caribbean if you don’t have a room or dining reservation.

Just use the skyliner to park hop, or to take a lunch break at Caribbean Beach during one of those park days.

If your kids like Potter, add that extra night at Universal. A day spent in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, riding the Hogwarts Express between is an amazing experience.
Thanks! I definitely want to. I'm a bigger HP fan than my kids but they love the movies and have been asking to go to Universal so I think we'll book it.

Hmm like won’t let the Lyft driver drive to hotel or ??? Wouldn’t Lyft get held up at HS too?
What would be the best way to get to front-ish of lines at international gateway for early entry if I can’t get dropped off at Carribean. I might have to reconsider and go back to old split stay if there is no solution 🤔

The Lyft driver won't get held up at HWS - They're allowed there freely. But yes, at Caribbean you should show that you have a room reservation or a dining reservation to be let in. Some security guards are more lax than others so experiences may vary.

I'm not sure you can get to IG w/out having a breakfast reservation at either one of the Epcot hotels or a hotel with Skyliner access.
Now some hotels will let you in if you say you are eating at their quick service, but not always and I'm not sure I'd chance it.

Unless it's a day where DHS is opening much earlier than Epcot, I don't think that will help either.

Maybe just get to front of Epcot entrance early enough to be among the first and fast walk to Remy? If you use the 30 minute early entry resort guests have, I'm betting you still won't have a very long wait even if coming from front entrance.

I believe Skyliner starts an hour before park opening so I think they'll be good if they go to HWS?

As a back up, walking from HWS to Epcot takes about the same amount of time as the Skyliner in case something goes wrong (Skyliner down for inclement weather for example). Shortcut through the boardwalk pool area if you do this.

I am wanting to enter Epcot through international gateway and be in the front pack of people (those who get off first skyliners etc? This was the reason I booked the split stay, will have to do some figuring to make it work or switch it back 🤔

Curious then, what time are people allowed actually freely enter all the hotels? I just assumed you could go freely to each resort. I guess if it’s super early though and nothing is open…

Hmm ya I only have one Epcot day so definitely don’t want to leave things up to chance

That would be my last resort because I’d waste so much time walking over there when all the people who entered IG would be right there. I didn’t want to get MPLL but might have to if I can’t figure out a solid plan

I might ask on the main boards how long line is for Remy using early entry, front entrance. I can't imagine it would be more than 30? It's only resort guests at that time.

By car, never. You have to have a Resort or dining reservation to enter my car in a resort hotel. That said, they are more lax at some resorts in the afternoon than others.

If your goal is to be at the back entrance early, I would suggest going to HWS and walking or taking the skyliner to Epcot.

I read on another thread that somebody uber to Beach Club and walked the path to Epcot for RD. I thought about doing that myself. So we can't do that even tho somebody else said they did?

It depends on the security guard. The rule is no unless you have a beach club reservation.

Be sure to try the hot butter beer! It’s the best. Perfect with a mid-morning breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron.

We've used the International Gateway to get to Remy during early opening when staying at the Beach Club. There are a lot of resorts guests doing the same thing as we were doing. There are 10 resorts that have transportation to that gate, which is a lot of people. We've found that the Remy line fills up fast. But I don't think we've waited more than 30 minutes or so.

We have observed that a huge mob of people will head to Remy when the park opens at the normal time. So, the sweet spot is to beat the general park crowd. I've heard that Swan and Dolphin will allow drops offs. But the walk to International Gateway will be at least 15 minutes. You might just try really hard to get a super early bus from your resort and enter at the main entrance. :)
