Official October Code Watch

Can you guys tell me if packages have to be paid in full by a certain date? Or can you pay it off when you arrive?

Packages require a $200 deposit and have to be paid in full 45 days prior to check-in.

Room only requires one night deposit, balance paid at check-in.

HTH :)

In our situation last year the ap rates were much, much better.
It was a unique situation though becuase they lumped by check in date into value season and then took off 85 and I was in holiday season.

If you do the package you have to buy a ticket so if you already have annual passes, it doesn't work out as well as the ap rate.

Hope that made sense.

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

Hi,

I just got the fall Pluto flyer in the mail and it had a pin code. I had already used my Visa and got 1000.00 off my ressie so I just tucked it aside. It was a good feeling to have received one.

I wish I could share it with someone. Good luck to the rest of you still hoping. May some pixie dust come your way!

Guess who got a pin code in the mail?

I laugh because of all the stuff that my AAA TA had to do in order to get us the Visa code applied to our account. I called her today and she checked Disney for us and the Pluto pin code was the same as the Disney Visa code discount. Needless to say, we left well enough alone. :rotfl:

Maggie

Note to self: Even when your leg hurts, if there is a possible pin code out there, go check the mail before using codes that require major accounting voodoo. ;)

Maggie - I like your posts :lmao:

can you still get one of these discounts even if you are paid in full? will we have to pay higher prices on tix or dinning? just wondering. i could use any discount for our trip LOL (more to do money)

The Visa codes have been for packages. What about room only discounts will those come out later or do you just buy a one day ticket to make your room only reservation a package?

I was just making reservations (just got off the phone) - the cast member inquired as to whether I was buying a package. I responded that I would like the dining, but not the ticket (I already have PAP and have frequently bought DDP at DVC). He commented that I could buy a one day ticket - that I could elect not to use. He said it would not expire, as the expiration countdown only starts with "first use" of the pass. Then, the next time I purchase another Disney ticket - such as another AP - I could apply the single-day ticket value ($74-ish) to the AP. In other words, I wouldn't have to effectively throw away the one-day ticket just because I don't have a use for it this year.

I can't verify this from practical experience, but I can pass it along for anyone who might find it useful enough to ask their cast member in reservations.

Where are you staying and what are your dates??? If you don't mind telling me. My TA said nothing was available for my dates. We're staying at POP from 10/6 to 10/13. I was very disappointed! :sad2: My TA said she would keep checking...I'm even willing to upgrade, but evidently nothing is available. Oh well, maybe something will change.

I think I would call Disney and check for myself. If you are on a package and have a Disney Visa, then give them a call. From what I have been reading, availability is very limited, so maybe your TA is correct. Hope you can get a discount!

Ok, I'm new here. If I booked my ressie through Small World Vacations do I have to go through them to check on codes when they come out to the public on Thursday? I know I will be bugging my TA to death!!! I am the type that will keep calling and calling hoping something will come through

I am also booked through Small World - Monday a.m. my TA had already e-mailed me and said there were no codes available for our dates before I was able to find out that a code had even been released. Since school has started it is on up in the morning before I have a chance to check things. I finally got my e-mail that told me about the promotion that night around 8:00. What good is a promotion if there is no availability???
She contacted me shortly after 9 CST Monday morning to tell me she had already checked on our reservation. We e-mailed back and forth while she checked other resorts for transfers etc. but was not able to come up with anything (we need three rooms and want to keep a preferred location). I e-mailed her again this morning to get her to check but still nothing.
I have a friend who was not previously booked call this morning with the promotional code just to make a ressie and she was told there was no availability in mod or value for week of Oct 6th - where is my year of a million dreams where wishes come true?????:sad1:

I just logged in to Disney homepage and checked Magical offers for August in "My vacation" section. It says something like "check back here for special rate for value resorts"

Is that just a standard text that everybody has, or does it indicate that I might have pin code attached to my name?:confused3

I see now that you can only get one discounted room with an AP. (drat!) What about the general codes for the public? Has that been reduced to one room per discount as well? Sorry if this has been asked already.

I just got off of the phone also. They said not today. Today is the
corresponding date that they released them last year.

I've always been able to book up to 3 discounted rooms with my AP. Is this a new rule?

Yes it is a new rule. I just checked too, and nothing for today. Here's hoping they release something tomorrow.

Dana

Did they change the rule? I thought I heard they were going to? I will be happy with getting a rate for one room, but I have 3 and was hoping to get a rate on all 3.
