The email I got from the Disney Rewards card said to book their deal soon before it became available to the public on August 16th.
Applied for the card today, got a temp # from Chase Disney Visa. Called WDW to apply Disney Visa code to ressie. Initial CM said I had to have card in hand and had to change over the phone. I explained that I had a temp # and that on the "Make a Payment" page, it had the last 4 of our new card as well as an exp. date for the card. She was very nice, but said there was nothing she could do. I insisted on talking to a supervisor (and when I say insisted, I mean she did NOT want to let me talk to any one else). When I did speak with a supervisor, she ended up 'feeling my pain', went to her supervisor and he said that since general public codes are coming out in three days, give me the discount and I was to call in with my number as soon as I got the card.
So....bottom line....7 nights at POP (had to go from pref. to stan. due to availability), 8-day hoppers with WPFAM, plus dining, went from $2400 to $1900. About a $375 discount if you account for the pref to stan. change.
YEEE-HAAWWWWW!!!!
I didn't think that CM's would apply codes to your reservation unless you knew the code? So how can you call in to see if there is a code?
Thanks to this VISA code - even my DH loves the DIS![]()
I called yesterday and saved $961 on my 8 night stay at All Star Sports![]()
We're 3 adults and 3 children in 2 preferred rooms with dining and 8 day hoppers from 10/19 - 10/27. I'm so excited. i wish I could have kept my preferred ASMo rooms but they didn't have any at the discounted rate, so i happily moved.

Last year, it was only a couple days later than the DV code. AP rates came out on a Wednesday last year of this same corresponding week. It was my first day back to work.

???
Does anyone know how the AP rates and DV rates usually compare? Are the AP rates usually cheaper?
