Official October Code Watch

The email I got from the Disney Rewards card said to book their deal soon before it became available to the public on August 16th.

Does anyone know if the discount codes used for the Disney Visa promotion will be the same codes used for the general public (when they eventually become available).

I'm trying to help my sister and sister-in-law with their October trips. I know that the Disney Visa codes are:

ZQL - Magic Your Way Package
ZQM - Magic Your Way Package with Dining

Can I just tell them to try calling Disney first thing on the 16th with these codes, or are the 'general public' codes likely to be different?

Thanks for your help.

The public codes will have different letter combinations so you'll need to watch the boards or mousesavers for them. Good luck!

All the discounts are tweaked differently..

This is off the DIS discount site for the LAST perk..

What are the VISA discounts this year? If the above person is right, then the discounts for the public will be out August 16th.

We are doing the disney plus dining pkg. Are the VISA discounts for pkgs?

We are planning a family trip and the family is really not getting in gear so we don't have our rooms yet for October! :confused3 Nobody wants to pick a freakin resort :confused3

I've got to get my family to book today! Ugh...sometimes trips with multiple families are such a hassle! :headache:

Applied for the card today, got a temp # from Chase Disney Visa. Called WDW to apply Disney Visa code to ressie. Initial CM said I had to have card in hand and had to change over the phone. I explained that I had a temp # and that on the "Make a Payment" page, it had the last 4 of our new card as well as an exp. date for the card. She was very nice, but said there was nothing she could do. I insisted on talking to a supervisor (and when I say insisted, I mean she did NOT want to let me talk to any one else). When I did speak with a supervisor, she ended up 'feeling my pain', went to her supervisor and he said that since general public codes are coming out in three days, give me the discount and I was to call in with my number as soon as I got the card.

So....bottom line....7 nights at POP (had to go from pref. to stan. due to availability), 8-day hoppers with WPFAM, plus dining, went from $2400 to $1900. About a $375 discount if you account for the pref to stan. change.

YEEE-HAAWWWWW!!!!

How many people are in your party? How many adult MYW tickets?
Just trying to judge how much mine would be, 2 adults 2 kids, but one of the kids is going to be charged as an adult.

Also sitting here waiting impatiently for the release of AP discount codes. Thanks to all who continually check and update us here!

I've also heard that sometimes people get e-mailed special discount codes. Any ideas on how to increase your chances of getting one of these, or how to get your name on those lists??

Thx!

Thanks to this VISA code - even my DH loves the DIS

I called yesterday and saved $961 on my 8 night stay at All Star Sports:cool1: :cool1: We're 3 adults and 3 children in 2 preferred rooms with dining and 8 day hoppers from 10/19 - 10/27. I'm so excited. i wish I could have kept my preferred ASMo rooms but they didn't have any at the discounted rate, so i happily moved.:thumbsup2

Do you know if they had rooms at ASMus as well, I have friends booked at ASMov right now, but they are willing to move to ASmus, and they will be there the same dates and are also in preferred rooms?

I had to move from Movies to Music because of the discount as well! I happily made the move...All rooms were just renovated so sounds A O K to me

???

I didn't know what the codes were when I called and the CM looked up the codes. He even indicated there were 5 different codes available and picked through them for the one that applied to my situation.

Ok, I'm new here. If I booked my ressie through Small World Vacations do I have to go through them to check on codes when they come out to the public on Thursday? I know I will be bugging my TA to death!!! I am the type that will keep calling and calling hoping something will come through

Well, here I was worried I would miss the general code and I got a PIN postcard in the mail today! I ripped it open so fast, just hoping it would be a PIN. It was an offer on a fall package at a value resort with tickets, 5 nights/6 days $362 per adult. I called and they had availability at Pop for my dates, so I changed my AAA room only to a package with 1 day tickets. My previous rate was 568.02 for 6 nights standard(AAA rate) room only. My new total is $477.24 6 nights standard with 1 day passes. So I saved close to $100 and got two 1-day tickets to boot. :woohoo:

I may call and change them to 3 day tickets. We have 3 days left on our non-expiring tickets, but we could use them another time. I may also add dining, depending on how things look. It would be $480 for the two of us and we will be at SeaWorld one whole day. I think I can do it for less, even if we do 3-4 TS meals.

I am SOOOOO happy! I hope others got this postcard and that those of you waiting for other codes are successful.:)

Does anyone know how the AP rates and DV rates usually compare? Are the AP rates usually cheaper?

In our situation last year the ap rates were much, much better.
It was a unique situation though becuase they lumped by check in date into value season and then took off 85 and I was in holiday season.

If you do the package you have to buy a ticket so if you already have annual passes, it doesn't work out as well as the ap rate.

Hope that made sense.

Guess who got a pin code in the mail?

I laugh because of all the stuff that my AAA TA had to do in order to get us the Visa code applied to our account. I called her today and she checked Disney for us and the Pluto pin code was the same as the Disney Visa code discount. Needless to say, we left well enough alone. :rotfl:

Maggie

Note to self: Even when your leg hurts, if there is a possible pin code out there, go check the mail before using codes that require major accounting voodoo. ;)

Can you guys tell me if packages have to be paid in full by a certain date? Or can you pay it off when you arrive?
