Hello, everyone!!!! I am so sorry I have been away, well...for almost two months!!! Shame on me.

I have a new job (yea!!!) and that is why I have not been on. I will, however, print out this thread and add anyone this evening while at home (because, you know, laundry and other household chores can wait). lol Anyway, my husband and I are starting to get really excited about our trip. My little guy and I have been watching the Travel Channel DVD pack and looking at old photopass pictures. I can't wait until I'm able to make my ADRs.

I promise I will jot some notes down tonight when I read through everything so I can respond to you all. Again, my apologies for not keeping up with this, but I have been very, very busy.

Oh, by the way, I should mention that my son (the middle child) made the championship for wrestling. We are so excited.

we have the Disney DVD set too! we love watching it. Okay, when i say 'we', i mean my son and I, DH doesn't understand the whole 'watching disney shows'-----he says, we are going to be there in person, why do we need to watch a show about it? LOL. silly man.

Hi all and congrats on your upcoming trips! October is our favorite time of year to be at WDW & we love MNSSHP! We plan to stay at BLT(depending on DH's raise next month.) or AKL Oct 2nd - 5th with our baby boy who will be about 6 months then and our 3 year old DD. Hope to bump into some of you.

We were finally able to buy our airline tickets the other day. We are flying Jet Blue and it felt like they were never going to release their October schedule! We will be staying at the Grand Floridian 10/21-10/29. It will be our daughters first trip to Disney--if anyone has any 'must dos' for their trip, please share, as I'm starting to plan and am feeling like I'm all over the map!

We've never been, but from what I have read, usually only the last 2 sell out, if that. But hopefully someone with more experience can answer.

We are coming via the Autotrain...We got a Family Bedroom for free r/t with our airline miles. We were going to fly but decided that we could get the dining plan for the 900$ it would have cost us to fly..and we'll have a car which is an added bonus.

we are the same dates (well the 14-22) at BLT too! How old are your DDs? So do you have a one bedroom then? We just stayed in one in December and loved it! the kitchen and laundry in room was so convenient! We always prefer to get a car too.

LGMH is LIME GREEN MICKEY HEAD.......basically, it is how DISers identify each other. I created a little tag that i put on our stroller and on our backpack that is a lime green mickey head that says "i'm a DISer" and my screen name in case anyone might see it and want to chat. I also tie a lime green bandana on our stroller. I don't know the history of the lime green (there is a thread on the theme park boards about it though), but basically it means you are a DISer. Just an easy way to identify fellow DISers in case you want to say hi. Many people go to Home Depot and take a few of the paint sample chips from the disney collection in the 'alien green' color (lime green) and then use those to create a tag (have it laminated etc.- how ever you want).

My girls are 4 and 7..will be 5 and almost 8 in October..We got a lake view studio We are kind of cheap in terms of points..we prefer to go more. We splurged last year on a treehouse for a week which was amazing..and have done a 1br at SSR but other than that we do studios. We weren't going to worry about a car on this trip since we'll be on the monorail, but since we are doing the autotrain..we'll have one anyway

Our girls have been so many times to WDW so we are trying to come up with some new ideas of things to do that are different...here are some of the things we are trying that are new.
...Wonderland Tea Party at GF
...staying at BLT
...Going to a Water Park or 2
...Disney Quest
...trying some new restaurants ie The Wave, Teppan Edo, La Hacienda..as well as some of our normal faves, Cali Grille, Kona, Le Cellier, Crystal Palace

Any ideas when October Park hours will be released?? I looked at last years hours to make a "tentative" schedule for our day...but can't wait to see the official hours.

That is kind of a bummer

I can make my dining reservations April 18th and I though that usually I had park hours before I made my dining ressies..It impacts where I spend my days and thus where I eat.

edit:: looks like September hours and EMH's our out and that is 6 months away so I am guessing the Oct hours will come out in April.

Count us in too, please! We are going Oct 1 - Oct 7, staying at CBR. This will be a late birthday, anniversary celebration for us. What better place to celebrate??? Can someone explain the 180 days + 10 to make dinning reservations for me? My 180 day mark is April 4, I think. So does that mean I can make my reservations March 25? I have never really understood that!!!! I sure wish they would post the park hours for October soon.

You can make reservations 180 days out from your first day. But you can make reservations for 10 days after your first day. You used to have to call back 180 days from your 2nd day...then 180 days from your 3rd etc.
So if 4/4 is you 180th day from 10/1 .....on 4/4 you can make dining reservations for you entire stay. Does that make sense???
