***OFFICIAL*** October 2011 - Updated 10/08/11

subbing.

We are book at Wilderness Lodge for Oct 8-15. So looking forward to this trip. We had to bump it from June to October due to our new little one arriving at the end of this month, October should be a little cooler for her.

Congratulation, sau418 on the upcoming baby girl. My wife and I just had our third child, first boy, on Feb. 25th. We will arrive at BLT the day after you guys get there and leave on the same day. We won't have the baby but will will have his two older sisters. We figured baby boy won't mind and he will be included on every trip after this one.

woo hoo- i didn't even think about asking for a refurbed one. last time we asked for even number, north end. We got even number, completely south end (facing over the dock area looking towards the CR, with views of the lake and the back of the CR). and she originally tried to give me 2nd floor, but i asked if she had anything higher and we got the 7th. This time i will definitely ask for a high floor too. here's hoping for a good view this time!

right now that is the only thing I have requested...but I may add high floor too :thumbsup2

I was able to add a night to our ressie- we now arrive friday night, october 14th! i have already been looking at flights too- i have two free vouchers to use on American (we live 20 minutes from DFW, so AA is easy and direct). I don't like flying SW to Orlando since we have a toddler and prefer direct flights. once he is older, we won't mind having a stop.

we fly SW now (have done last 3 times) I understnad those direct flights need...we have the same thing too w/ 4 children...but we have been lucky flying out of Chicago we have always had direct.

Trying to decide if we should cancel our trip or just make it shorter.

Got back from WDW a couple of weeks ago. Just getting geared up to work on the October trip, and they cut everyone's hours at work by 20%. Thankfully, I still have a job at this point.

I dont know if we can even afford the trip now. :sad1:

Oh now I am sorry to hear that...we have faced hard thoughts like this too, just glad we have been able to squueze those pennies to make the trips happen. Good luck w/ whatever decision you need to make and that you will be happy w/ it

We changed our trip , currently listed as going Sept 29 - Oct 5 @BLT

We are now Oct 26-Nov 1 Beach Club

DH said to just keep making payments, and if we have to change dates, atleast we know we are still going.

I had been considering getting a part time job, just for vaction funds, but now it looks like I need one to make sure the bills are paid.

Darn this economy.
So sorry to hear it, sending some pixie dust your way!:wizard:

love the WL! congrats on your 'coming soon' bundle!

congrats to you as well. please pass the water this way (hoping to get pregnant this year and need all the help i can get!). :goodvibes We will be at BLT then too!

I love SW. i just hate that they don't fly direct from DFW to MCO. It's only like a 2 hour flight for us direct, so i hate having to consider two legs instead of direct. Maybe one day they will make it direct.

I wish that there was more info for October out sooner...180 days is too many! and I want more MNSSHP info!! Ugg...just got to wait I guess. lol I am more then elated to be able to go! Count me in!

We are heading down the 1st to 8th & I can't wait!! :cool1:
Planning on trying MNSSHP too. Touring Plans did have a few dates listed in their calendar, but I think those are "best guess" dates as of right now.
I can't find anything about F&W. I seem to remember this from last time we did F&W, that the event calendar comes out much later than the booking window. Think we want to do the Tequila Tasting & maybe try Party for the Senses again.

I'm just going to book based on what I know now & I'm sure we will drive our poor TA crazy with changes once they start announcing the official schedules.

Thanks and I will will think happy thoughts for you. I hope I see a smiling pregnant woman walking around BLT when we are there. Good luck!!!:)

Staying at BWV Oct 8 to Oct 16! Our first time at BW. Can't wait!! My birthday celebration and I get to go to MNSSHP and F&W!!! I'm sooo lucky!:cheer2:

Got the finances figured out!

The trip is still on!!:banana::banana:

Now I just need everything to be current so I can make plans. Already scoping out where to eat. Mildlly bummed about Le Cellier being 2 TS credits, but since we had planned on two days at IOA, its not so much an issue.

DH does not dress for halloween, so I am going to have to convince him to.

I've seen pics of the Party for the Senses, looks like fun- how often do they do it and what is the cost usually about? I am sure they won't announce that stuff for a while probably. i am dying for hours to come out!

Yeah, so glad you got it worked out and can still go.

Thank you so much!!! I would be smiling ear to ear for sure if we are lucky enough to get pregnant again. ;)

So any guesses on when October hours will be released? I am dying to start really planning and know what the EMHs will be. I've looked at historical hours and Sept 2011 hours, but you never know what will be different.

Exwdwcm - hopfully the hours are out soon!

I pretty much know where we are going to eat. I am torn on a 2TS resturant. I know that we will do Le Cellier, which is DH's favorite. But, as this is a longer trip, we are doing two days at IOA, so we can eat at two 2ts resturants.

Any suggestions on a good 2TS meal, other than Le Cellier?

I'm a big fan of Narcoossee's and Jiko. If I had to choose between them, I'd go with Narcoossee's. Especially if you can get seating for around the time Wishes is on.

I would mention Yachtsman, but since you're already doing Le Cellier, I think they may be a bit too similar.

I am so excited to join you all  My husband and I will be visiting Disney October 10th-16th and can't be more excited. I have visited many times as a child and I am a College Program alumni. My husband has never been and I know he will love it! I am so excited to start planning, we are staying at All-Star Music with my brother, SIL and 2 nephews. So far hotel, airfare and passes booked. I am holding out on dining and praying for a free dining extension. Do you guys think it will happen :confused3

Happy Planning:yay:

I just realized I haven't even been back to this thread since I booked my trip...I thought I'd be going the 3rd week of October (which is where I'm listed in the first post of this thread!) but I'm actually going 9/30-10/8, staying at AKL! I can't wait, October can't get here soon enough! I can't wait for my first MNSSHP and Food and Wine festival! :thumbsup2 I just hope the first week of October isn't TOO hot! I'm used to mid November weather!

*Gasp* I'm going to Disney World for my honeymoon! We'll be staying at AKL from Oct 2 to Oct 9. It will be my future husband's first trip to Disney World. I'm so excited.

I would vote Jiko too- i have it on my to try list, but everything i read is fantastic. same goes for Yachtsman's, everything i read on it is all good, but never tried it. We also love California Grill.

welcome! what year did you do the CP? I did it in Fall 1996. We are arriving on the 14th!

My family along with our BFF's are headed down October 1st and staying through the 8th. I am super excited because this will be our first time to visit during Halloween season. I thought I would never get my husband talked into taking a trip in October. He's really into celebrating Halloween and loves to spend the entire month decorating our house for trick or treaters. But not this year!! :dance3:

Hello, everyone!!!! I am so sorry I have been away, well...for almost two months!!! Shame on me.

I have a new job (yea!!!) and that is why I have not been on. I will, however, print out this thread and add anyone this evening while at home (because, you know, laundry and other household chores can wait). lol Anyway, my husband and I are starting to get really excited about our trip. My little guy and I have been watching the Travel Channel DVD pack and looking at old photopass pictures. I can't wait until I'm able to make my ADRs.

I promise I will jot some notes down tonight when I read through everything so I can respond to you all. Again, my apologies for not keeping up with this, but I have been very, very busy.

Everyone have a great day!!!!

Oh, by the way, I should mention that my son (the middle child) made the championship for wrestling. We are so excited.

Welcome Back!

Congrates to you on the new job and to your son for making it into the championship for wrestling.

I can not recall if I posted about the change in our trip dates or not but anyhow, we will be at the Beach Club Oct 19 to Oct 25. Bought our plane tix yesterday now just waiting on the Oct Park Hours to finish up my plans. I am getting very excited :yay:

I will make sure I reflect the change. What airline are you flying? I'm waiting for Southwest to release their info on the 14th. If I buy right now, it's going to be about $275 per person and that's really expensive to me. However, I also can tell with the rising oil prices that "cheap" airfare will be a thing of the past.

We will be flying Jet Blue. JB extended their fares to Oct 29th this past Monday March 7th. Our RT fares are 240.40 pp which is actually not as high as I had feared with this gas crisis starting up, so I am happy :) plus I had credits to use up from our cancelled trip last Nov so I still have $96 in credits left over which I will probaly lose. Last year when I booked our fares were $244pp
I grabbed our tix Monday cause like you I did not want to hold off incase there is a substancial rise in air fares.
