Drafting up ideas for my costume. Anybody know what they're going to be yet?

It depends how close I get to my weight loss goal. If I'm close, I'll be able to be a goddess. I was thinking the whole family could go as a mafia family, but the costums for DS3, DH, and me are all long sleeved with pants, I'm worried it'll be to hot.

Congratulations! We'll be missing our 9th anniversary there by a week. But we'll be there for my dad's 59th birthday!

We had our honeymoon at WDW 10/19/02. Time flies!

I've been thinking about booking for months, but finally made the plunge today when I got a pin code! We'll be at Beach Club from Oct. 23 - 30. We are really excited, especially since DDs will be spending their birthday in Disney this year.

DH and I arrive on 9th October until 21st October for our 20th Anniversary . Cannot wait, love Disney and we are stopping at GF so its our once in a lifetime trip!! Both of us turn 40 this year too so its a big big celebration. We have done MNSSHP before but with our children so it will be loads of fun to go on our own this time

I also have a question if anyone knows. I know if a better deal (hoping for free dinning) comes along I can call and apply that new rate, but what about a pin code? Doubt I will get one, not that lucky. If I did thou could I call and apply the code or would I have to cancel and then rebook? TIA

It depends on the code. If you have a room-only or package reservation and get a room-only PIN, they can generally modify your reservation to apply the PIN. If you have a package reservation and get a package PIN, they can generally modify your reservation. If you have a room-only reservation and get a package PIN (one that requires tickets and/or dining plan, like Kids Stay & Play or free dining), you'll have to rebook. But they won't cancel your current reservation until they know they can rebook.

As with the general discounts, though, there are only a certain number of rooms at each resort that qualify for the PIN. So you may have to change your resort or your room type (standard to waterview or vice versa, for example), or even change some of your dates.

My kids, too. My DS(3) asks me almost daily if we are going to the Halloween rotfl2:. This is our first trip to WDW, we're all excited.

HI! We just booked BCV for 10/8/11 - 10/15/11! We've been to MNSSHP before, but never to F&W. We're very excited. We're also letting DD bring a friend - but they don't know it yet. We've arranged it with the Mom already though!

Tonight's the night we tell DD and her friend that the friend is coming with us! The parents are paying for half of the expenses and will give that to DD's friend as a birthday gift tonight. We made up a certificate announcing the trip for the parents to give her too. We're having dinner at the Rainforest Cafe up here in CT and she'll get the gift then. We bought DD's friend a kid friendly planning book and a landyard/pins starter set that we'll give her tonight too. We are SOOOO EXCITED! I can't wait to see their faces!!!!

Sooo . . . . I picked the 23-29 because of some school events that we can miss that week . . . . but i see that it's one of the sets of dates that the famous pin codes went out about (unfortunately, not to me). Between that and free dining, do you all think the crowds that week will be much more than usual?!? What do you think?

Yeah - just booked our annual trip - Oct 8 - 12 - Yacht Club (for the 1st time). looking forward to MNSSHP and trying the new mexican restuarant. We considered Nov for a change of pace but decided Oct is our favorite time to go. It will be me , dmom and ds13. Can't wait. I almost hate booking this far out as it will be forever before our trip gets here.

quick response about pins, discounts, free dining - last year we booked a package - free dining came out and our travel agent applied that then a 40% off came out an we switched resorts so that we could get that the 40% off instead of free dining.

Hoping for 40% off again this year - got a pin but not for the dates we have to go because of school. fingers crossed another will come out.

Welcome to the DIS and congrats on your first trip is 8 years!! The longest I went without going was three years between 2003 and 2006 and it was like coming home again! You guys are going to have so much fun!

Hello!

I thought I had posted here, before we left, but I guess not.

We booked Oct. 13 through Oct. 21 at POP. May change that to POFQ. We got back just this past Saturday, and I just cant imagine staying anywhere else.

Cant wait to hit the Halloween Party!

We haven't booked yet (waiting on the 7 month mark) but we are going Oct 5 - Oct 9, hopefully staying at AKV in a standard 1 bdr villa - Jambo house or Kadani house (will know in two weeks). A friend at work is GIVING me her DVC points for this trip. Yes...GIVING. I about cried when she told me, kept asking "are you sure, are you SURE?" I will be getting her a very nice Disney gift card as a thank you since she is going in December.

It'll be the first trip for DH & my youngest two (boy, 9 & girl, she will be 7), my oldest boy (16) hasn't been since he was 3, so it'll pretty much be his first trip, as well. It's my second time staying on property (last time was at Dolphin in Nov 2010). Before that trip, I hadn't been in over 10 years. I'm attempting to surprise the kids, at least the younger two. I would like to have them figure it out when we are driving through the gates, but I don't know if I can keep my mouth shut that long.
