This picture is just the front panel and it is now complete. I goes to my knees and has plenty of room for shorts/shirt underneath. This is only my 3rd time ever sewing anything in my life. The other 2 times were aprons, which were much easier. (Please ignore the mess!)

Wow, that is great news! i hope the migraines start to go away too!Don't worry about the list and have a great time!!
Ok, since I know you all follow everything I say word for word and remember way back early summer when I mentioned I saw a neurologist for my migraines and they found a lesion on my brain, I thought I'd post that I got the results of my follow up MRI today and the lesion is GONE!!!!!!!!That's just something you have to tell as many people about as possible!! Back when it was first discovered I was being told it could be Lyme disease (negative) and it could be MS and it could be Lupus (still hasn't been ruled out), but more and more it looks like it is neurological side effects from Celiac disease, which I was just diagnosed with a little more than a month ago. I've been gluten free ever since. My neuro agrees the lesion was so small that the gluten free diet could absolutely have caused the reversal in the lesion. So hey, guess what?? Tonight I will ! I'm meeting up with some friends conveniently anyway.
Ok, I had to scream it out to the world, but I'm done now. Thanks!
66 days!!!
sorry you had to revise your ADRs, keep trying, you never know when something might open up for LC! it sounds like it is going to be an amazing trip!!!Woooohoooo! That's wonderful news! Congrats! You should splurge and do something extra special for yourself at WDW. Maybe a massage at the spa or something.
I think I'm down to like 54 days? It's just a matter of (not so) patiently waiting for me. My parents decided to join us for our trip so I had to totally redo all my ADRs and lost a few biggies (like Le Cellier), but I'm so excited they are coming! We're eating at 8 restaurants, and 7 of them are new. Excited to try some new stuff! This is the first trip for all 4 of my kids and my parents. Only DH and I have been before. This is going to be so much fun! Got my 2 boys signed up for Pirates League and my 2 girls for BBB. I almost wish I had signed Mom & I up for it too.Everything is paid for and ready to go. It feels so weird not having anything to do as far as planning. Quick, someone give me something to do/research/plan!

oh NO!!!Hakuna Matata!
Okay - here's something to worry about....at least for those of us that will be there on the 28th.......
From TouringPlans.com:
"Vice President Joe Biden will be attending the Florida Democratic Convention being held at Disneys Contemporary Resort October 28-31, 2011.
Biden will be giving a speech as part of the convention on October 28, 2011. Expect delays in transportation to and from the Magic Kingdom and in particular to and from the Contemporary Resort due to increased security measures. Its likely they will limit access to the Contemporary Resort entirely during his visit as they have done in the past with such visits. Do not expect to visit the Contemporary just because or for shopping that day.
Delays with the Magic Kingdoms transportation system will be due to the proximity of the Contemporary Resort to the bus drop-off and the requisite motorcade when the VP travels. In the past these events have caused significant backups with the buses attempting to pick-up/drop-off at the Magic Kingdom."
School starts here tomorrow for the most part. My son won't start official preschool until next year, so doesn't affect us at all either, other than like you said, traffic. I am happy school is back in session- the traffic near my work has been crazy at lunchtime by all the restaurants due to all the summer camps and stuff going on at the nearby churches and schools- the restaurants have been packed at lunch everyday it seems. ready to enjoy a nice quiet lunch again. Thanks everyone! Had myself 2 margaritas and some Macho Nachos last night with friends to celebrate. That's what they are called, I swear!Delish!
65 days!
We've gotten a little slow here lately. End of summer I guess. Everyone ready for the school year to start? No difference for us except an increase in traffic to get to day care/work. The good thing is September means we're that much closer to Disney!!!![]()
yeah- congrats on the upgrade- you'll love CBR, it is very nice!!! i hear the new pool is a blast too! are you going to do a room request (well certain building anyhow?). I have to say that we really enjoyed being in the building directly across the "island" from the main food court area, it was a beautiful walk every morning to the food court.I got some good news this morning! I was sad that I couldn't get free dining the week we are going Oct 12-16th. This morning though I had a resort upgrade pin waiting for me. I have been calling once a week! I was able to upgrade from POP to CBR in a preferred room. This will be our first time staying at a MOD. We have been to all the Values and this would have been our second time at POP.![]()
congrats to him!!!! Hope you are all having a fabulous time!Congrats!!!!!!I am so happy for you, now to figure out what is causing the migraines.
Quick update on JT. He competed yesterday and won 3rd place/bronze medal! I am so proud of him! I think he would have placed at least 2nd place if his horse would have gone backwards like he was suppose to.
Today we have a free day, the Special Olympics is having fun activities planned for the families and athletes, so we are off to that. JT competes again tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. Oh that is going to be an early morning. See you all later. Have a great rest of the weekend.
Enjoying a quiet Sunday, staying out of the miserable heat again today here in Dallas......104 right now. 107 yesterday. I think we are at 55 days of 100 plus this summer.
Looking forward to some 70 degree temps in San Diego this week! Heading to SD on Wednesday am for a workshop I am helping host for work on Thursday. DH and DS are flying out Wednesday night to join me! We will be doing 2 nights at DL hotel over the weekend and one day at DL! Can't wait- just a little taste before our October trip! Testing out my new suitcase too that I purchased mainly for our October trip.![]()
Lisa - That is AMAZING!!!! So happy for you. My 16 year old son has Chiari (pronounced Key-R-E) so we know all about headaches.
Also - we are at 49 days till Disney...Woo Hoo we are in the 40's.
When we started planning this trip we originally planned to go the last week of Oct. SOOOOOO glad that we changed the dates after hearing about Vice Prez being there. For those of you that will be there then...I am SORRY!
I think I have all the stuff ready to make our shirts, and I am excited about getting started making them this week. It is strange not obsessing about everything Disney now that most everything is done. Now I have to find something else to focus on.Oh Wait....I already have something else to focus on....my SIL is going through IVF transfer today, so maybe in 12 days we will find out that IT WORKED.
I hope so
I just got off the phone with Disney. No luck on having a pin for us. We are booked with a 16% discount, but I keep hoping for more. I feel so selfish saying that! But, it doesn't hurt to call and ask!
Yesterday I made my costume for MNSSHP. When the ones I bought came in, they didn't fit. DH's Mario was too small, DS's Luigi was too small, and my Princess Peach made me look like Miss Piggy! So, I've changed gears again. We are going to do homemade costumes. DH and DS2 will still be Mario and Luigi, we will just be buying overalls/shirts/hats. And I decided to be a Wii remote. I didn't have a pattern, only an idea in my head and the actual Wii remote to use as a guide. I must say I am very proud of the result!

Have lots to update.
JT won another Bronze medal today! I am so proud of my little man.He is already preparing for next year. LOL.
My dad and stepmom came up from South Georgia to see JT compete. While we were all visiting, my dad and stepmom said that they wanted to go with us to WDW.The problem, I will have to change resorts as I offered to pay for their room and I can't afford 2 rooms at the Wilderness Lodge. So I have decided to go next door to Fort Wilderness and get a cabin. My other problem, I can't get a cabin without purchasing tickets and the dining plan for my parents. I talked to a friend and she suggested I just get the room only, then purchase the tickets separate. I decided to purchase annual passes and get the cabin with a discount from the passes. That saves me some money, plus we will cook at the cabin (saving more money). I will cancel some ADRs, I am ok with that. I will trade ADRs to spend time with my parents and kids. It's a win-win.
I am going to work on the list tomorrow (hopefully). Ya'll have a great evening.

Hello, I sent a private message a couple weeks ago. Not sure if you just havn't gotten around to it yet or missed my request but I would like to be added to the October list please. We will be at Port Orleans Riverside Oct 23-29 with free dining. So stoked right now, first time on any kind of discount at all.
Thank you and hope everyone has a safe and fantastic trip.
i appreciate you trying to get the cooler air down to us! lol! Heck, even 90 degrees would be a relief at this point. We've been fighting 107, 104 etc. consistently. It is only getting as low as like 86 in the early morning hours. It is still in the triple digits at night sometimes even, or at least upper 90s. it's insane. I don't know what I will do with 60s and 70s in San Diego this week! I just might cry tears of happiness!Man, you all in Texas are just getting NO relief at all!Well, I'm going to try to fan some cool air your way. We're in the 80s this week and are supposed to stay there all week. Wicked thunderstorms with it, but I think you'd take that over the oppressive heat at this point right??
62 days!!! I'm so excited that we're almost to 2 months. Woohoo!!! Actually, it's 2 months tomorrow until we're on a plane!!
Hey everybody, it's been a rough couple of weeks and I've been feeling down about some stuff. I tend to just read mostly and not post much when that happens. I hope everyone is doing well. Last day in the 60s today, I can't wait to get to the 50s tomorrow and get to the vacation already.
Not sure what's been going on with you, but sending you a hug from OhioI hope things get better!
