Has anyone else seen POTC4? We went last Sunday and of course we all loved it! We decided that we need to have a POTC marathon and rewatch the first three. Love me some Jack Sparrow!:lovestruc

We saw it Friday as a last minute plan so I didn't have time to have a marathon watching the 1st 3 beforehand. Turned out I didn't need a big reminder of the storyline and could still follow POTC4, but a little extra Jack Sparrow never hurts! Good news is DBF said he bought the 1st 3 on Blu-ray for a good deal so I can have a Jack Sparrow fix anytime!

I'm super sad right now. Just lost a chunk of Disney spending money fixing the car :sad1: It was the fuel pump. Boo!

URGH!! I totally feel your pain!! DD is getting braces in 3 weeks, our skylight cracked a month ago, and now our AC needs to be replaced!!! PLEASE LET IT END!!! Thankfully, our Disney funds have been set aside and we refuse to touch it...we are just scrounging for the money for these repairs and will have to save right 'til the last minute for extra spending money...
Can't stand it when there is a threat to the vacation!!!

We saw it as well and LOVED it. DH isn't as into them as I am and he was really into the movie, which I was glad for. Our theater was playing old clips of Walt explaining his thoughts for the PotC ride at DL before the movie and I thought that was really cool to see.

:welcome::welcome: to all the newcomers.

I've been pretty MIA the past week or so. We're getting stuff ready to have a massive yard sale with the in-laws this coming up weekend, so I'm really going through our house getting rid of stuff, so we have more money for Disney!! I also got the $200 Disney card offer from Chase and applied, so that will make more money for the trip as well.

We're trying to do a bunch of little projects around the house this summer to help make the time pass quicker before the trip, so this weekend we cleaned out our shed in the backyard. Way too many creepy crawlers in there for me. DH looked at me funny when I asked if we could sweep and dust at there some time. Just because they live in the shed doesn't mean I don't want it to be semi-descent looking inside. ;)

Right there with you! My brakes are going and my inspection is due, so they'll have to be replaced this month. Then I made the dumb move of choosing the "pay later" insurance plan and now I'm for sure paying later! Foot surgery earlier and then an MRI and I'll probably have to have another in 3 months. The foot surgery was only partially successful (I have a Morton's neuroma and had cryosurgery) so I'll have to have it again or else go with the full surgery to remove the nerve, which I don't want to do. I'll postpone that until next year when I can switch insurance back to more per month/less out of pocket. THEN our basement is getting backed up with water right around where a capped drain is, so we have to get that looked at. :sad2: All this and we wanted to move next year closer to work since I commute and hour and my husband an hour and 15 each way. It's too much!:scared1:

This Disney trip is the only thing keeping me going and we're going come h-e-double hockey sticks or high water!

:scared1: I don't feel quite so bad about my car now.

Luckily I applied for and was able to get the Firestone credit card, so I saved 5% and have 6 months of no interest. I can breath much easier knowing I didn't have to pay it right agway.

I know, right? :scared1:

We have the Chase Disney card so we'll use that to pay for the trip, pay off what we can in cash (which will be most as long as nothing else goes wrong until then :duck:) and then use the 6 month no interest option to pay off the rest. And we are paying day care through Capital One Venture, so we've already paid for one plane ticket through that. Good thing I'm getting something out of day care!! I mean, aside from teaching DD social skills and advancing her learning more than I could at home. :cutie:

I just had to rack up the one and only credit card I have with school stuff until I get my tuition reimbursement back from where I work, so I don't have a lot of cushion right now in case anything happens. Good thing it's extra pay check month and the month I get my bonus!

:woohoo:

I get paid bi-monthly but DH gets his 3rd this month too. BIG help with the car and saving for the trip! My Citi card is interest free until November, so I used that for my tuition. I'm taking the fall off so as not to fall behind while away so I'll use my reimbursement right for that and hopefully save a little for winter semester after the trip. Hopefully!

I'm also debating about taking the fall semester off to not fall behind. When I asked my A&P1 professor what he thought, he asked if I think I could have passed his class with taking a week off. I said I'm sure I could since I did it when my grandpa died. He said A&P2 isn't harder, just different, so I should be fine. After taking classes for 2 full years including over the summers I just think I'm ready for a break(even though I do only go part time...).

Well I think I finally have all my ADR's and calendar figured out let me know what you think.

Yeah, this is my first semester back in grad school. I started going about 6 years ago for IT but then realized I hated it. My BS is in Education and I got into the training industry a few years back as an eLearning manager (IT) and found I really liked the mix of education and IT as it suited my own education and my 10 years of IT experience. So now I'm an instructional designer with no adult education training, so I'm going back for my master's in adult ed. I don't know what your degree is (sounds like math, which I am awful at!), but any education degree is a BOATLOAD of reading. And text books are boring. No way I'm going to be able to read that crap at the World! Plus God forbid there is an essay due that week. I'd be done for. :rolleyes1

Sounds great! We'll probably just miss you at Tony's. We'll be leaving as you're ready to go in. :-)

my thinking with Tony's is we will finish dinner then watch the parade and fireworks. Hopefully my ADR isn't too late.

not sure if i posted this question so i am going to ask again. We have three options for MNSSHP. Either a Thursday, Sunday or Tuesday (last option) what day would you choose? I am thinking about crowds.

TIA
Susan

I somehow scheduled our trip over fall break so I will only be missing one class. Break is Monday/Tuesday and I have a class on Monday, one on Thursday, and one online. I have already spoken to my Thursday night classes professor and have the green light to go. It's only a high level economics class which is something I am pretty good with and I know a couple of others who will be in the same class. I will also need to take my netbook in case I have any work.

We scheduled our trip over fall break as well. Mom will only be missing class on Tuesday since she has Columbus day off; she'll come to get me after class Thursday and she doesn't have class on Friday.

I will leave after class on Thursday, no classes on Friday (), then I have Monday AND Tuesday off, then an afternoon class Wednesday that I'll be back for. :thumbsup2

I'm just glad our break is the weekend AFTER the holiday weekend. Makes me really love my school! I have class Thursday night. Our flight is Friday at 11am. I am then taking the whole next week off (and will only miss class that Thursday) and coming back on Sunday evening (flight gets in about 7:30pm). So, I'll be gone 10 days and only missing one class. Think I did that pretty well!

I posted in another Official October thread, but I also saw this one. We (DH, DS2, and me) are going over fall break, October 16-22nd. DH is a HS band director, so this will be our first family trip without 100 band kids. I'm so excited! Love the Days Until app on my iPhone that I can look at anytime and see a picture of the castle from the last trip and how many days left til October 16th! We will be attending MNSSHP either the 18th or 20th. DH and I will be red and yellow crayons, while DS will be an orange crayon. Now if they would hurry up and extend FD or give me a PIN, I'd book the trip!

I reserved a family suite at All Stars 10/17-10/28. I also included the DDP with park hopping option to 10 day tix. With insurance and tax the total was $6200!!!! I am hoping for a discount soon otherwise we will be living on mac n cheese and spaghtetti for the next 4 mos!
:lmao: My twin boys (age 9) would LOVE to live off mac-n-cheese and spaghettti - those are their 2 favorite foods!:lmao:

Although I'm not a huge fan of Johnny Depp, I just love his Jack Sparrow!:lovestruc

I ALWAYS take advantage of free financing - cuz it's FREE!:thumbsup2

We put ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING on our Disney Chase Visa and pay the balance in full each month. By October, we should have enough Disney Reward Dollars to pay for our Dining this trip!:woohoo:

Probably Tuesday would be best crowd-wise. I would avoid the weekend.
