YUCK! I didn't realize ME picked up 3 hours before your flight!! I have a 3:something flight out and figured we would leave for the airport around 1:30. Now I know they will pick up around noon. What one earth are we going to do in the airport for all that time? YUCK. I guess I could always take a cab instead no?

Normally from my expierence between picking up passengers at other resorts and depending on the hour of departure the travel time to MCO can vary due to traffic. Also your terminal at the airport may not be the first unloaded and MCO can get super busy at peak travel hours and times. That being said there are numerous places to grab a quick bite to eat before your flight to pass some time.
Of course you can take a cab if that is your choice.

I keep having to remind myself that i am there for F&W....i do not need to fill my day with ADR's. My plan was to just grab quick later breakfasts since it's just DH and I this time. i'm not interested in riding the best rides...i just want to enjoy F&W! Then F&W for lunch and i have dinner ADR's each night but i am so so so tempted to start filling my days up w ADR's. I am trying to not even look since i am pretty sure i change my mind all the time.

We are going mainly for F&W also but only plan on spreading out our snacking at one or two kiosks each day during our trip so we can try out many of the Epcot restaurants for lunch or dinner during our stay. One reason we switched resorts from CR to BC so we can slip over to Epcot easily for lunch and dinner and snacking

ok question for you all, I was looking at my ADR's and trying to fit in Via Napolli (spelling?) and on the Disney site it says that the Dining Deluxe is not accepted there, anyone had this issue before? They take the Dining Plan, and of course Platinum and one above that, but not the QS (which I could totally see why) but am super confused about the DxDP... I'm thinking of calling tomorrow about it.

Also I jsut remembered about the Sleep Hallow carriage ride at Fort Wilderness in October, if anyone else trying to book this as well? I really hope they do it again this year (they have the past 2-3 years from what I've read). Anyone done it yet?

According to the DxDP Pamplet(PDA ver.) you can download Via Napoli is listed as being on the DxDP so I think that must just be an error.

That carriage ride does look like a lot of fun, I had planned on doing it when we were staying at CR but changed my mind when we switched resorts.

So it's possible they could pick you up and you could have a bunch of other stops? although that might be a good way to see other hotels, lol. I guess I have some time to decide. I have only taken ME 3 times but I know when I stayed at AKL we went to 3 resorts if I recall Pop or one of the values was one can't remember for sure about the other one maybe it was only 2 but I know it took like 1.5 hours to get to AKL of course I arrived on either a Friday or Saturday and it was busy even though that trip was end of January. So I think it how busy or crowdedd the ME bus will be depends on your travel days.

I am traveling this year on Wed(arrival) and Tues(depart) so I am hopeing for light crowds

I know the CM on the Beach Club thread said Sundays is there busiest check-in and check-out day.

The ME bus for BC serves POFQ, POR, BWI, and YC and BC, BC being the last stop so I am allowing 2 hours to get from MCO to BC just to be on the safe side, hopeing it will be quicker due to my travel day being a Wed.

I honestly do not recall when we stayed at OKW and used ME if we went to other resorts or not

It has begun.......................

I was looking over my plans for our park days and decided my lunch ADR needed to be a little later on our AK day since we have to head over to Epcot. Changeing it will give us an extra 30-45 mins at ak which should be fine since we only ever spend a couple of hours there.

I ended up changeing our ADR at Marrakesh from 1pm to 1:55pm, the belly dancing show is at 2:50pm so hopefully it will all work out since this is a special request for DH, he has been wanting to go there for years.

Of course since I moved our lunch ADR to a later time I had to move Dinner to so I changed Via Napoli from 6:20pm to 7:45pm . That time will work out better to catch the "eat to the beat " concert that evening either the 5:15 or 6:30 show, only thing I had thought if they added a 2nd show of Fantasmic! that evening we might head over to DHS but I doubt now we would make it since if they add a show it will probally be 9pm.

Yesterday I added Yak & Yeti for lunch, 1 p.m. Oct. 16.

Today I canceled Sci-Fi and replaced it with 50's Prime Time at 1:15 on Oct. 19.

I liked the food better at 50's Prime time vs Sci-Fi , although I could do without the entertainment , I thought it would be nice to eat lunch at AK but DH really wants to go to Marrakesh and I just could not fit it in anywhere else without some major changes

I did not see the tix listed on WDW site for sale yet, but I know last year I called when I bought them on April 30th.

A little disappointed the night I am planning on going is a non-discounted night but I was going to hold off buying probally until I am there anyhow since we may not end up going.

We spend the extra time at the Earport!

Let's face it, the people here on the Dis usually know more than 70% of the CM's.

Now ain't THAT the truth!

Bought my plane tickets last night! 6:30 a.m. flight out of Newark Liberty on Oct. 16. This should prove to be...interesting because we've never left this early in the morning before, I usually book the 7:30 flight. Got the 7:25 p.m. flight home so we'll have a good part of the day to do whatever before we have to leave for the airport.

WE have a 6:30 am flight on the way there too....none of us sleep much that night before we leave anyway...
Our flight back home is not until 7:56pm - so we basically get to spend our whole last day in the Parks.
Sure, we won't get home until after midnight, and we'll be EXHAUSTED - but at least we come back on a Saturday, with a whole day Sunday to recuperate!

LOL...I'm constantly changing my ADR's! I'm currently having a crisis over whether I should cancel breakfast at Kona and do CP instead, even though I've done CP twice and have always wanted to try Kona!

My vote is to keep Kona!! LOVE those Macadamia Nut Pancakes and French Press Kona coffee!!!

Our only other ME experience was 9 years ago for our honeymoon and I remember being flat out shocked at how early they picked us up! Lol. I'm figuring 3 hours in advance, so 2:00-ish??

We've got reservations at Chef Mickey's for 8:30 a.m. that last day and are planning on hitting MK afterwords for a few last rides.

How late of a late check-out can we get? I'm assuming not past 1:00? In that case, we'll have to remember to check-out before going to breakfast.

SJS, thanks that info is helpful. I'll pop over to the resort boards and see if anyone knows what the hotel stops are for our ME ride and where we land in the order. Also, thanks for the MNSSHP info. A friend who is going in Sept. told me that a CM told her tickets went on sale today. Maybe I will call and see....

NYEmomma, I had hoped w/ a 3 something flight that we too would be able to hit the park for the am or even maybe DTD for some last minute shopping but now... I don't know I guess if we are up and checked out by 7 to head out but otherwise if ME picks us up by 12:30 I guess wherever we are we need to be on our way back to the hotel by 11:30 to be safe. Seems a little pointless. I'll have to think about that.

Yep, you'll be picked up at 2 and you're supposed to be there 15 minutes early. In my experience, ME has always picked up from the resort on time.

You can call housekeeping the morning of your departure and request a late check out at 1:00, no charge. They'll accommodate you if they're able to.

We had dinner at the Sci-Fi last November, we all liked it but thought it'd be good to try someplace different this time. I'm just a wee bit concerned that DGD might get all wiggy with the "cousin" insisting she eat her green beans.

I bet your DH appreciates all this planning on your part! Mine is sort of oblivious.

I can never sleep the night before we leave, DH sleeps through anything. I'm liking the late flight home, and I'm the same, I don't care if I'm worn out tired, it'll be great to have that last day. We're both retired so we don't have to worry about a couple of days of recuperation. I'm thinking MK for the last few hours but that might make me feel too sad...I can already see myself walking backwards up Main St. and crying while I say goodbye.

We are going to Disney World for the first time this October!

Who are we?
Me, hubby and two wonderful boys - 10 and 12.

Where are we staying?
We are going to be at the Dolphin from 10/13-10/23.

What will we do when we get there?
We will spend most of our time in the parks, from rope drop to close each day. Our plan is 1 day for each park and 2 days for universal, leaving 3 more days to see which parks we want to return to.

Tomorrow is October, right?
