Im confused about the AK EMH..we will be there the 9th thru 16 and its showing AM EMH for AK on 2 days..Did they do away with them altogether or just the night EMH at AK ??? TIA

They just did away with the pm EMH at AK, if I recall correctly the reasoning had to do with the majority of people waited to visit AK on the day of EMH since AK closes early year round so by getting rid of the pm EMH attendance at AK would then be more spread out between the the entire week and people will go to one of the other 3 parks at night.

I was surprised to see that DHS (at least for my week) has pm EMH on the two nights F! is showing instead of a non F! night as they did before.

You know, I was kinda shocked by that as well. We've never seen Fantasmic in all our trips (usually because it runs once per the entire week we are there - on our "day off" no less). I was hoping we could fit it in this time, but I may wait to see if they add an extra show due to EMH.

Me too....but I'm not real excited about it, unfortunately.

For months it was driving me crazy not being able to book. Then finally Southwest and AirTran released their schedules - blaaaach!
For a couple days I was undecided and was waiting for AirTran's rates to settle-in, but the Non-Stop flights I wanted never came down to a reasonable rate - in fact they kept creeping up!
So last night I bit the bullet and ended up booking flights with one stop, with less than an hour layover. We still get to arrive and depart at the times we wanted - it's just that we have to stop in Atlanta. No big deal, right? (please convince me!)

What is the usual turn around for this agent leaked hours to the official hours on the Disney site?!

I think we'll be lucky if Disney posts them in the first week of April. Even after they show up on the Disney website, there are usually some gaps for a while.

i was sort of surprised at the schedule too. I didn't realize AK did away with evening hours, so good to know. We never used them. I prefer AK in the daytime to really see and take in all the beauty of the park. I actually really prefer all the parks in the day time more, except maybe MK- just something about the sun coming up, being at RD with low crowds and enjoying walking down the freshly sprayed street.

i already adjusted my schedule around a bit- i was going to be at DHS on a F! night (also an EMH night), so i figured i didn't want to mess with that double trouble. i can only imagine how crowded it will be with it being PM EMH and only one of two F!'s that week. i'll pass. i am hoping they will extend hours just a bit. Last year, it appears DHS closed at 8pm instead of 7pm on some nights. i hope so, that's an early closing time for DHS. Also- the 15th, showed as closing as midnight last year, but now it is 10pm. hopefully they extend that too. We will see.

No BIG DEAL!!! I still haven't booked a flight, everything i find is $400 RT, that is direct or with a connection (even SW is $400!). And this is flying out of DFW or Love Field. bummer. We are going to wait it out and hope gas prices will go down in a few months, but with all the Libya stuff going on, that isn't looking good. BLAH!!!

It had been so long since I did this that I had to go back and look. I completely forgot that you have to be a premium member on their site. The cost isn't very much and I got a discount because I have the 2011 Official Guide Book. I think I paid $7 for the membership & it's good for 365 days from date of purchase. Once you are a member, login and go to the Crowd Calendar & then Crowd Tracker. It's a wonderful tool & there are other features available only to premium members. I HIGHLY recommend it!

LOL...planning IS hard! My DH doesn't understand how I can be SO stressed about planning this vacation! This is probably the hardest time I've had yet planning...it's just hard with wanting to go to 2 MNSSHP's and Food and Wine!

We are staying at the Poly 10/23-30 We are staying GVCL. This is our 4th trip and it will have been two years since our last trip.

We are actually arriving on Sat the 22nd and our homeless that first night but I am waiting for some possible room only discount to come out otherwise I will just book a GV room for the first night.

I love WDW at Halloween time and F&W!

I don't know where I've posted what info so I'm posting again since we're now finalized. We're headed to the Poly Oct 23 - 29.

Airtran just released prices this morning and they seem on par with how they've been lately. Now we're just waiting a bit to see if SouthWest drops their prices cause right now they are outrageous for our dates!

Yay! We will be at the Poly the same week! I am so excited I have never stayed there before!

We finally did F! for the first time last year. We really enjoyed it, but the whole family agreed that we do NOT need to see it every year.

yep, i am guessing they will end up adding a second show- they did that last year, if you look at the historical schedule, it was added. we will avoid it though. just don't need to see it.

Unfortunately DH and I have never seen the current F! The last show which was like F! somewhat we saw was back in the '90's while DHS was still MGM and there was no staduim seating, everyone stood and watched the lazer/fireworks and at the end a huge Sorcerer Mickey stood up atop I think Gromans? not sure its been so long

I had thought this year since we will be at the BC would be a good year to do F! but it was just turning into too much trouble trying to fit it in and DH hates crowds worse than me so skipping it seems a better way to go.
