Hello there!

We are going to be in WDW from Oct 8 - 15 and my 5th grader DD11 LOVED the Kingdom Keeper books and has all 4 of them and has read them multiple times.

We saw that they have a KINGDOM KEEPERS QUEST program now:

Quote from website : Packages are available for groups arriving between October 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011. Ticket Packages MUST be ordered a minimum of 14 business days in advance.
Kingdom Keepers Quest is written for 5th – 9th graders.
Kingdom Keepers Quest is for youth groups of 10 or more.

MY QUESTIONS:

1. Can we get a group of 10 kids together who are going anyway?

2. Can we get just the package for the quest and use the tickets we are already getting? (My family has annual passes)

Would be grateful for any answers and info on this!!

That was my first thought, but they don't have a kids menu. My kids will eat ham or turkey sandwiches, but can we use dining plan credits on these?

I believe anywhere there are no kids meals you can use kid credits for adult meals. According to wdwinfo.com they accept the dining plan for QS and snack credits, so you should be good, but double check before you order!

69 days today!!!  We're in the 60s!!! :hippie:

I love Mondays on this board! I love how we're all so happy about our countdowns!! :cloud9:

Hey October DIS peeps!

I just got back from a week at Myrtle Beach yesterday - and let me just say "WOW!!!" :scared1:
If you think Disney is hot and crowded, just try MB in August - CRAZY!!!:crazy2:

Overall, we had an AWESOME time - we were there with 9 other families (60 people total) for a 12U baseball tournament. 10 days, over 2000 miles, 100 degree weather, 6 baseball games......It was the trip of a lifetime for my DS12. The boys will NEVER forget it!

So today I am sad and missing my "baseball family" dearly......Just thought I would pop on the DIS and see if this would cheer me up?:sad1:

68 days to go!:goodvibes

Welcome back Laurie! I'm glad you had a great time! We missed you!!! :grouphug:

Just booked the room, now I am just waiting for "official approval" from the boss. :yay::yay::yay: I have to wait for the approval before I can register for the YES class. Once again, think happy thoughts for us! :cheer2:

thanks! I hope to report back soon with more details.

We leave 2 months from today! We are finally getting a break from the miserable heat. High in the mid-upper 80's today! I can almost feel fall around the corner!

72 days to go and I just made final payment on one of our rooms - don't want to overwhelm the credit card on the official final payment day!

I poked around on their website a bit and it looks like it works similar to the YES program where it is available together with a ticket package only. We arrive on the 13th and don't plan to hit MK until the 16th, otherwise you would have 2 boys from my family who love the series. I have committed to reading it before we leave, so my guess is that I will love it too.

45 days!!!

:cool1:

I have the boys autograph books done but still need to make my daily notes/plans. More of a rough outline just to make sure we don't miss anything we really want to see. Oh, and I need to research which attractions we can all go on, vs my oldest child vs younger one. So much to do.

But before all that will happen, I am distracted planning a Cars birthday party for my soon to be 3 year old. Can't believe he'll be 3 in 2 weeks!

:banana:woo hoo:banana::woohoo:

We're going to Disney October 23-28. :goodvibes:cool1::banana: and staying at Caribean Beach Resort

We had planned on going but over the summer things happened and our grand gathering was fizziling fast and I thought I would be cancelling our ressies too:sad2:. We are no longer a gathering:sad2: but the kids and I and grandpa and Uncle Joe are still going. :hippie::goodvibes:woohoo:

:cool1: Are you in Texas or the midwest somewhere? I know the heat there has been oppressive with no relief!

45 days - jealous!!! DD will be 3 on August 27. When is your DS's bday? We're doing Minnie Mouse. All the princesses she loves so dearly, and she picked the Minnie Mouse cake without hesitation!

Any trip is a good trip, but that's too bad it's not quite as grand as expected. You'll be there the same week we're there! :yay:

Question for those with little ones - DH wants to get DD a lanyard for pin trading but I think she's still too little to get the concept and I think DH will be dragging her up to CMs to trade pins. She might like picking out which pin she likes, but I don't think she'll understand what she's doing and won't understand having to give one of hers up to get one. I also know she won't wear the lanyard around her neck and she thinks she will. Does anyone have experience with toddlers and pin trading? DD will be a few months over 3 when we go.

I havn't done pin trading with a toddler. But I have also got a lanyard and pins for DS to trade when we go and he will only be 13 months/ I plan to carry his lanyard in my hip pack or backpack and only bring it out to trade. Even adults find that if you have many pins they get heavy.

So cute to have a Minnie party! I tried to talk DS into a Mickey party (since I had all the stuff left over from his brother's party 2 years ago) but he insisted Cars. He'll be 3 on Sept 2nd. Glad to see another person that waited until just after 3 - everyone thinks we are crazy for going 1 month after he turns 3, since 2 is free. But it is just when it worked out. :confused3

We decided not to do pins. I've never done them before but I just envision the boys playing with them and sticking themselves and having drama in the middle of the park. I'm not up for that!

Yeah, we decided 3 was better than 2, even if it is only a few months after. We also will never do summer in Disney again, so we would never have made it before she was 3. It wasn't worth it to try and sneak the trip in under the wire.

Good point on the pins. That's just another reason for me to give DH NOT to trade pins this time around. We'll be going back in 2013 after the Fantasyland expansion is done, so we'll start trading then if she wants to do it. Besides, if we get there and he somehow talks her into it, then he can get the lanyard and some pins there.

Hey anyone that booked Southwest online they are having a sale and I got $15.00 back. That's enough to pay for a early bird check in. I just typed in my confirmation number and changed the flight for the same time but the new price. Hope this helps someone.

THANK YOU!!! I've been calling once or twice a week for about 2 months now. I'm going to call as soon as I finish this post.:yay:

Also, thanks for all the "welcomes" to the DISboards. I think I'm becoming an addict already! :upsidedow

Just wanted to post to see my ticket!!!! Just about a month and a half for me!

Today I went to Panera and they told me I had a free espresso drink that expires on Sept. 28th! That's the day I leave! And I keep seeing commercials for a new show that premiers Oct. 2, which is the night we come back.

You KNOW you're getting close when you start seeing dates in other things!!

We were planning on going mid-October. We were going to get tickets through the YES program. I've been waiting on "official approval" from my boss for the time off. I checked the site this morning and the class was open. I got the approval from my boss this afternoon. I went back online to register and the class had closed. :sad1: I am literally crying. I don't know what we are going to do.
