I have to go look up Keens and Tevas now, no idea what they look like. I usually go with my tennis shoes for the parks and my feet get so hot, and flip flops or crocs around the resort.

what are keens?

i usually do comfy tennis shoes and alternate with good flip flops. I haven't had problems with my feet, but we also take a midday break which helps (can change socks/shoes then if needed).

Bought a new large suitcase today with the fun spinner wheels. My old mickey luggage just hasn't held up (ordered off TDS 2 years ago). so i spent some money to get something nice. Will break it in on the SD trip in 2 weeks!

Exactly! What are Keens? We need new shoes soon so we can break them in before the trip. I will have to check out the Keens.

Just saw that free dining was added for OCtober and am kind of glad that it is not available my week...but also wondering why it isn't. Any thoughts?? Its Oct 15-22nd. Why would that be blacked out?

We are there the 12-16th. Someone said it's Columbus day week. Evidently a lot of people travel then. Who knew lol

Columbus Day is Monday 10/10 this year. I was able to get FD for the week cuz we are checking in 10/7.

Touring Plans is showing Crowd levels of 1's and 2's except for Sat which is a 6

After my last trip during Spring Break Madness in 2009 I think the crowds in October will be a breeze.

We were at the parks during Columbus day week last year. The busiest time was the Sat/Sun/Mon, after that it wasn't crowded at all. I see this agrees with Touring Plans park outlook. We are now at 59 days...

VB is Vera Bradley. I ordered a Lizzy bag from eBay last night I am now covered for park bag and shoes. I still have to buy the rest of our costumes, handheld fans, spray deodorant(for the feets), a Brita water bottle, oil absorbing sheets and our MNSSHP tickets. Other than adding the DP for the last night we are good to go!!
