Thanks! Maybe we'll see you around! I think we get there a few days ahead of you, though. In any case, always nice to know there are people who enjoy the eating at Epcot as much (or in my case, sometimes more!) than the attractions!
Hi everyone! My DSis and I will be visiting over Columbus Day weekend this year, and we're not sure how bad the crowds are going to be at Epcot on the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend.
We are planning on visiting AK on that Saturday to avoid the projected crowds at the other parks. Since AK will close at 5, we were planning on hopping to Epcot to spend the rest of the evening and then catch Illuminations.
We figured that with F&W and the holiday weekend, the WS will be insane with crowds. Will the WS be too crowded to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere in the evening (i.e. wall to wall crowds)?
Will there be anywhere to sit for Illuminations? What with all the extra food booths set up and the crowd levels, is it likely that we would be able to get a seat on the ground somewhere with a decent view an hour before it starts?
The 1st two weekends in Oct @ Epcot the showcase area are crowded (Sunday afternoons seem worse vs Saturday imo). We've been able to grab a spot an hour preshow, if you have your heart set on a specific area, i'd go a bit earlier (grab a snack & enjoy)

Me too, growing up with the name Brandi, I loved that it was unique... My DH is David, pretty common so I think he too wanted it to be different for his DD, but then he turned around and named is DS David II we are just a crazy family!
