We got DS's costume in the mail yesterday. Whew! He is so cute as a little police officer!

I had an epiphany early this morning. Southwest Airlines has a commercial out with the tag line "Bags fly free." I take this to mean ALL bags fly free, not just the first bag. Does this mean I can check an empty suitcase so I have room for our souvenirs, and I don't have to pay extra?

**edit: YAY! Southwest does allow 2 free checked bags per person! So our souvies will have a suitcase all to themselves!**

yeah....Southwest allows 2 bags per person!!! That does make it a lot easier. I'm going to take a duffel bag in my regular suitcase (it zips up into a little compact area) just in case we need extra space on the way home.

Well, I can't believe it! I am packed and ready to go....2 hours early even! I got it all in 3 carry ons with one extra bag packed inside for the return trip.

I sent DD a text this morning when she got on the bus and told her I would pick her up from school at 1:30, since she won't be doing PE due to her tendonitis. So what does she say, "no, that's ok. I'll stay at school." So I try again and tell her I will just take her with me on my appt. So she has to ask, "what appt". Sigh....Finally told her I would just be a little while, then we could hang out for a bit. Thankfully, she arrived at school and can't text, so that was the end of it. But geez....how hard can it be to get this child out of school.

I am pretty sure she has NO idea. She kept asking last night when the "good things would come her way", since I told her they would during the blood draw. She wasn't happy when I told her I never said "when" good things would come.

Also, it's kinda depressing that my little Pooh is gone and there is nothing special with my counter now. I thought it would say something. Maybe I should change it. oh the little things......

We're leaving tomorrow! Whoo so exciting and so much left to do! We're skipping some classes (I know, we're bad) to get some of it done. Plus, I doubt I can concentrate in archaeology knowing ill be driving to Disney in 24 hours

Woo-hoo! I'm so excited. We're headed there on the 17th. Nothing is prepared, packed or ready of course. I still need to book a room for the drive down and figure out if we're renewing our annual passes or just buying tickets for this trip.

We hit the 10 day mark this morning too! I really wanted to do the online check-in but now we're having to wait because we might have to reschedule the trip to next summer!! DS has been sick on and off for a month now and all the Dr's will say is that he has "another virus." I'm so sick of that word! Four "viruses" in one month!?!? We're praying hard that he'll get over this virus quickly in the next day or two and then have no more problems so that we can start our drive south next Friday!! Keeping him out of daycare and away from the public from the next 10 days so he'll hopefully stay well!!

Besides obsessive weather checking... does anyone else check seats on their flight just out of curiousity to see how filled up it gets? THere's maybe 15 seats left on each flight for me. and im laughing at how, on our flight back, both emergency exit rows are EMPTY. wow, people reaaaally avoid sitting there huh?

I'm wearing out the iPhone app checking weather for Lake Buena Vista. I've been checking the 10 day forecast since it's appeared for our trip (10/10-10/13 in the parks, 10/9 travel night). I keep hoping the 10/12 weather gets lower than the current 40% chance of rain. It can't rain on my party!!!

we are going the 18th, and so far, so good. its seems its going to be REALLY hot tho, 87 but a "realfeel" of 103!!!! But the evening is 70s so it'll be nice and comfy. and so far...no rain. *crosses fingers*

Yeah if its really that bad heat wise, we might just hang in for the day or just do mini golf and then just hit MNSSHP that night.

Bags are packed sitting by the door ready for 3am Friday morning. Only one more day of work and I don't know how I'll get thru it. I still think I'm forgetting something important and I don't have a clue how we are going to get thru the airport with all this crap! I've never flown before so I have a question about checking a car seat....Do I need to put it in a bag? Do they have bags at the airport? I'm counter checking it and gate checking the stroller because we have a layover in Atlanta and I know I'll be going crazy if my 3 year old is walking! Oh yea and I'm still completely freaked out about flying. I've had an upset stomach all day!
