We leave for our first WDW vacation this Friday before sunrise! DD (almost 5) and I are really excited but I'm also freaking out. I have a ton of packing to do, double checking the list to be sure I'm not forgetting the itinerary or important documents and stuff, need to check in online still, cancel a couple ADRs I've decided against, decide whether we have enough luggage space for all our clothes and junk with room for souvenirs on the return trip, and so on.

Plus, DD came down with a cold and I'm really hoping it goes away before Friday rather than getting worse for either of us. Please, oh please, let everything go well on our trip!

Thanks Kim, I think you are the one who sent me the pixie dust last week. DH has the MRI tomorrow but at least the back pain hasn't gotten worse. Three weeks left and I am watching this surprise trip run down the tubes! BUT, I never give up Thanks again and good health to all our families!

hi i'm from pa and i leave in 11 days for WDW. we are staying at ASM from Oct. 10 to Oct 17th while at disney we will be celebrating my son's 5th birthday ans brothers 16th. Hope everybody else enjoys their trip

We leave in 16 days!

DD now says she wants to be Minnie Mouse for the MNSSHP. At least we have that costume! I plan on packing all of her costumes in the in-laws' car, and letting her make up her mind that day!

I called the kennel to confirm my dog's reservation, and it was a good thing I did! They had us down for 10/16 to 10/24, but we decided that we didn't have enough time on 10/16 to drop him off before we go to the airport, and since we have a ridiculously early flight on 10/23, we will pick him up that day. I also found out that his vaccinations expire on 10/17! So add that to my to-do list that week before we go.

My mom takes a medication for her stomach that comes in yellow powder form. The canister it comes in is big and bulky, so she usually sections it out by week. She wants to carry it in her carry-on bag on the plane. Do any of you know if the TSA will allow that? She wants me to call the airport and ask, but I am hoping that some of you travelling geniuses will know.

I'm hoping the weather/humidity cools down a bit before we're there in 17 days. All I keep hearing about is how bad the heat and humidity has been lately...

we'll arrive 2 days before you. think of it this way, its too far out to tell what its going to be like. i mean sure there's 15 day forecasts on accuweather (which i check religiously...tell me its not just me who does this haha) but things can change. it might not be nearly as bad in 2 weeks.

and if it is...well... we'll still be at disney world!
