OFFICIAL October 2009 thread - LET US KNOW YOUR PTR LINK!

Hello all. I've been absent from the disboards for awhile but I'm back! I'll be at WDW from Oct 17-26! I'm staying at Wilderness Lodge by myself from Oct. 17-20 and then my BFF is coming down to meet me and we're moving on to Animal Kingdom Lodge (concierge floor - drool!). I'm doing MNSSHP solo on Sunday Oct 18 and then again with my BFF on Oct. 20. Yes, I love Disney at Halloween that much.

I'm definitely interested meeting up with some DISers while I'm there! I'm so pumped - WHY ISN'T IT OCTOBER YET!?!

Hey fellow October people!! We are headed there Oct 17-24.
Not sure when we will be attending the party, but planning on seeing the headless horseman!!

We'll be there at the same time! Where are you going to stay?

I am afraid I have decided to skip Fantasmic! this year. I love it, but I really don't want to have to wait hours and I don't want to pay for the dinner package if there is a chance to not get in. Plus we will have our g'ma with us who is 78 and I cannot imagine the exit being any worse that it was before. Not worth it. I've seen it and they won't know what they're missing.

Fot my family it would be DHS hands down. We went in '07 and my children were 10,7,and 5. They did not care for AK. It was hot and spread out. We are not having it on our list this time around. DHS is fun for all. My oldest loves the rides and tours, my middle loves the star tours and Lights and Action, and the little one loves the shows, Playhouse Disney, Hollywood and Vine for lunch with characters. Little Mermaid is cute and it is easy enough to get around.

If your children are animal lovers, they may love AK. We just found that DHS has a great variety for our family.:)

Thank you so much! We have a ds7, ds5 and a dd2
My kids do like animals but I think Playhouse Disney would be more their thing right now.....ds5 and dd love Mickey Mouse Play House.....so this might be the route for us. Is DHS an all day thing? Could we do breakfast at the BC hotel and then spend the day there??
Thank you again for your response.

Yes, it can be an all day event. Aside from Playhouse Disney, there are parades, Honey I shrank the kids playground... Hollywood and Vine is a buffet and has Little Einsteins and JoJo and Goliath. n If you love Belle, the Beauty and the Beast Show is spectacular.

FirstTimer10, the addiction comes quick. We took a niece last Christmas (our 6th her first) and we managed the secret until we drove through the welcome signs on Epcot Center Drive. She nearly burst. Keep the secret as long as you can, the climax is worth it.
