*** Official November 2024 thread ***

I just booked our rooms for our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip💒😍! We're doing a split stay at two resorts we've never been to before. 11/11-11/14 Pop, then 11/14- 11/16 Grand Floridian. Never done a split stay before, so a little nervous about it, but I've always wanted to stay at the Grand so I pulled the trigger on getting it a couple nights.

The Disney portion is a part of a longer trip- flying into MCO on the 9th, going to Port Canaveral to tour Kennedy Space Center on 11/10 and staying overnight there, then heading to Disney on the 11th. On the 16th we'll be heading down to Miami- going to a Dolphins game on the 17th, then tooling around Miami area (never been there) and flying home from there on the 20th. If anyone has hotel recommendations in Miami I'd love to hear them! :sunny:

We are so excited for this trip!! 🥳

We will be there the week of thanksgiving at riviera. I really need them to release the extended evening hours for that week so I can plan if I want to do either of the parties!

Ladybugs mom, I would love it if you could update me in the list as we have changed hotels. Thank you!!
11/2-7 Boardwalk Inn, 11/7-11 Gran Destino Tower 11/11-16 Wilderness Lodge

Did you want to give your exact dates?

Deals are live. The "other savings" for most nights range from 20% down to 10% for various hotels (by comparison, the Nov-Dec higher percent off goes from 30 to 15 depending on location).

Nothing great for my dates, but we need a 5th sleeper which always makes life harder. I could drop down from CBR to POR, but I want the Skyliner.
We switched to Riverside to save the money. I hope we like it. It's just myself and my husband this trip and it is only for the weekend after we get off the cruise. I was disappointed CBR was not a part of the deal.

I believe I have all of the updates and new dates, but please let me know if I've missed anything.

Our trip is finalizing- waiting on a waitlist for the kids😎
We leave thanksgiving day (so I don’t have to cook a big turkey dinner😜) so the dates are 11/28 thru 12/13. Split stay at Pop/Saratoga Springs and last 2 nights were added to try the new cabins at Fort Wilderness!

I just booked a solo Disney World trip for November 4-11. I had thought about going solo for several years, and since I’m old enough to draw on social security and I got in on the “up to 30% off room rates” I talked it over with DH and went for it! I’m staying at Port Orleans Riverside, have stayed there a few other times with DH and other family members and always love it. I got a 6-day park hopper ticket, and added quick service dining to my trip. Got my airfare booked yesterday. Now just have to book my Mears transportation to/back to the airport from the resort, and get my trip insurance. I’ve already started my packing list😁

So I changed my reservations again.
11/2-11/7 is now Beach Club Resort instead of Boardwalk Inn.
I think I'll leave it alone now. LOL.

I'll be there 11/7-11/16 doing a three resort split stay. One night at the Dolphin, three nights at Old Key West and five nights at Boulder Ridge.

Doing our first split stay in recent memory 10/30-11/6 at Pop Century and then hop over to Polynesian. Have the MNSSHP on Halloween night. The initial reason for this trip was to experience the decor change from Halloween to Christmas in MK.

It just struck me that we'll actually be there for our 25th wedding anniversary (11/6/99)! We've been planning a Med cruise next year for that and it kinda slipped my mind.

Now considering adding a day at the beginning or end. If we add at the beginning, could do a 2nd MNSSHP or HHN.

Only thing that could make the trip even better is if the MVMCP started the first week of November 🙃

What are we thinking about crowd levels the first week of November? I would think "lower" since most schools are in session, but don't think we've ever been this specific time of year before. And it feels like the past few trips, school calendars really don't seem to matter anymore.

11/4-11/8 is Jersey Week: state teacher's convention Thurs-Fri where all public schools are closed, many schools are also closed for election day Tues, our district ended up making Mon Weds teacher in service to give us the whole week because so many families were skipping those two days and going on vacation anyway.

I'm not sure how much that truly impacts crowd levels, but it sure feels like half of our town goes to Disney that week based on my FB at least. That's why we're there!
