***Official November 2022 Thread***

We’re now at our 36 days till we leave mark! Monday I was surprised with being able to do not only the droid build but also savis. I’m super excited! It’s been a stressful week so that surprise has really helped brighten my mood a little. My kids have earned their spending money so they’ll be able to buy their own souvieniers.

Hoop Dee foo hasn’t opened up for us but maybe when we get closer..

Wait….. your husband is sick of Disney talk?….. 🤣🤣🤣😉

We have adult children where most don’t want to hear Disney talk and there are a couple that are obsessed with it as it’s all about the journey and not just the destination! “ Hey guys.. gotta a YouTube video I want to show you!” Eyeroll…

Your park plans sounds awesome and no way should you change Space220! We too are hoping for low park crowds on party days at MK. So far so good for for MNSSHP when I check for wait times.
haha right? I can't wait until we tell the kids because then I know at lease my 8 year old daughter will be all over planning with me 🤣

I'm definitely not giving up space! Its the lounge too, because the main dinning did not sound delicious to us, especially at the price. But it was the one thing my husband actually showed an interest in beyond "Sure if that's what you want" So I was so glad to snag it!

Today is our ADR day for our split stay. We are at GF from Nov 29-30 and CBR Dec 1-3. I was able to search for three of the days, Nov 29 to Dec 1st, but I was only able to get one of the dining reservations that I wanted. I have a feeling that I will have bad luck on Sunday morning, when the Dec 2nd and 3rd dates become available.

I guess that this is the disadvantage of a split stay. :(

We had a split stay too and I agree it makes it tough. Definitely set some touring plans alerts. We also booked a few dinners in disney springs via opentable, which often had more availability for the same disney springs restaurants you see on the disney app.

I used OpenTable for our October ADR at Big River Grille on the Boardwalk. :)

We have a split stay too but just decided if we don’t get our ADRs so be it. We didn’t want that many to begin with. We did get the most important which is Boma on DH’s birthday. Other than that we only got one other (Steakhouse 71 lunch) but am still stalking Space 220 lounge. That one has been tough, got 2 alerts from our Dining watching place and gone in the 20 seconds it took me to try to nab. We’ll keep trying but if it doesn’t happen, oh well. At least F&W will be going most of our trip.

What time does World Showcase fully open, especially the Food and Wine booths?

We are doing a 4 resort split stay so I just finished making all of our adrs.
Of course, I went back today and realized I messed up 2 of our plans.
I have WCC on the same day for breakfast and dinner. Not a big deal since the food is very different but would have preferred to split it up. The only other day we could switch breakfast to is our Chef Mickey day but those adrs are gone.

I also accidentally booked our Fort Wilderness carriage ride on Sunday night instead of Sat. We are supposed to be spending Sunday night at Seaworld to see there Christmas celebration. I am going to keep stalking the carriage ride for Sat. but not to worried about it. We can switch Seaworld to Sat. but I was hoping for lower crowds Sunday night.

Does anyone have any idea of something small and fun to do/get for a trip with their adult kids (all are 27-31) and SOs? We are not the matching shirt or minnie ears kind of group, but something fun I could bring or (preferably) send them before our trip?

While DH and I have been several times in the last few years, these "kids" haven't been since they were around 12-13. We're doing 2.5 park days and a MVMCP.

@MomOTwins - great idea.

I went with nieces/nephews that age last October, and pre-trip....it was extremely difficult to get them to "BUY IN" to Disney clothes, etc. However....once there, they almost all go back to being a kid! It's magical and I'm not being Disney brainwashed. These kids and my family included (nearly 4 teens) are not the matching shirts etc. group. I have found it better to get them a shirt or something that is a character they love....but VERY SUBTLE. For example, my 22yr old niece loves Eeyore, so I got her a shirt with his silhouette barely noticeable....but I didn't give it to her until we had been to 1 park. She wore it on our last day....with her newly purchased Minnie Ears! My kids are anti Disney clothes while there....breaks my heart! LOL.....

I know you mentioned sending them something pre-trip....but maybe offer to buy them a souvenir up to a certain $$ value? I did that too....and my 25yr old nephew (who is the most difficult of the group when it comes to branded anything), he ended up buying the 50th anniv. chocolate....but at least he'll remember that! In fact, he made a comment how he really enjoyed Disney with us and would like to go back with us....so he is going this November with us. I'm thankful!

There is an Instagram account next page with Meg, and she marks scavenger hunts. I’ve ordered one but haven’t used it yet. But I’m a short trip with people haven’t been in a while May Not be the best option.

Eta they have some 21+ themed ones

I’ve never seen ADRs this difficult to get, especially for November. My DD and I went Thanksgiving week in 2018 and I had no trouble!
