Thinking of booking POR Nov 25-30. Any pros or cons you can think of? Any deals that may come out before then?

Free Dining is during those days, but not at POR. For moderates it's CBR and CSR. So that's a positive, but the negative is that it might be more crowded than usual because of that promotion. You also might not save as much as you think since you pay full price for the room and tickets. It also might be hard to get in on that promotion right now.

The only two weeks that I can go is the week before Thanksgiving or the week after Thanksgiving. I decided the week before because I'm hoping it will be a little less crowded, even though Jersey Week is the week prior and Veterans Day Observed is Monday.

It's my first visit. DH has only been to EuroDisney and our friend was at Disney World back in the late eighties as a child.

We were at Coronado on a Travel Agent discount (only room I could find), but as soon as I got the email about the pool being closed we switched over to CBR. My husband really wanted the pirate room which is all they had. I'll prob be kicking myself giving up the King bed for the fulls since we may not even go to the pool but oh well! We may go one morning before MVMCP.

Free dining has been announced for 2018! For our November travelers, you may be eligible for free dining if you are traveling between November 24-November 27. In order to be eligible for free dining, you must purchase a non-discounted Walt Disney World resort and ticket package with at least a 5-night/6-day Magic Your Way Package with Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus Option.

The 2018 Free Dining promotion excludes the following resorts:

Value:

• All Star Movies
• Art of Animation Little Mermaid Rooms
• Fort Wilderness Campsites

Moderate:

• Port Orleans Riverside
• Port Orleans French Quarter

Deluxe:

• Contemporary Resort
• Bay Lake Tower
• Wilderness Lodge
• Polynesian Village Resort (standard rooms and villas)
• Villas at the Grand Floridian Resort

The promotion must be booked by July 7, 2018.

**NEW 4/24: November Free Dining Promotion
​

Free dining has been announced for 2018! For our November travelers, you may be eligible for free dining if you are traveling between November 24-November 27. In order to be eligible for free dining, you must purchase a non-discounted Walt Disney World resort and ticket package with at least a 5-night/6-day Magic Your Way Package with Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus Option.

The 2018 Free Dining promotion excludes the following resorts:

• Art of Animation Little Mermaid Rooms
• Fort Wilderness Campsites

Moderate:

• Port Orleans Riverside
• Port Orleans French Quarter

Deluxe:

• Contemporary Resort
• Bay Lake Tower
• Wilderness Lodge
• Polynesian Village Resort (standard rooms and villas)
• Villas at the Grand Floridian Resort

The promotion must be booked by July 7, 2018.

Guests staying at value and moderate resorts will receive a free Quick-Service Dining Plan, guests staying at deluxe resorts will receive a free Disney Dining Plan.

2018 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: The best part about early November is that you still have a chance to catch the 2018 Food and Wine Festival! The Epcot-based event begins August 30 and runs all the way up until November 12, so our earlier November travelers will have the chance to experience seminars, culinary demonstrations, exclusive merchandise, and above all, FOOD from all around the world! F&W is a great event, my personal favorite Epcot festival, so be sure to check it out if you're in WDW during this time! Walt Disney World Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend: From Nov 1-4, Walt Disney World Resort and runDisney invite you to join them in Epcot for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon! Be sure to follow the Official Wine & Dine 2018 thread for more information on registration, updates, and more!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party: Do you need a little Christmas? Right this very minute? You're in luck! On select dates, you can watch Magic Kingdom transform into a holiday wonderland with special nighttime offerings during this hard ticket event. You'll find free cookies and milk, exclusive entertainment (a parade, a castle show, and a fireworks show just for the event!), exclusive character offerings, and above all: SNOW ON MAIN STREET! Follow the "Official" 2018 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Holiday Magic thread for more updates on dates, ticket sales, party information, and more! I'll update this section with dates and prices as information is released.

As of 3/19, tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are on sale! The November dates are: 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 25, 28, 30. Tickets are $95 in advance or $105 at the gate (if available). Tickets can be purchased by calling (407) 939-1872.

Found this thread today. So helpful!! I'm planning a trip in November during the Thanksgiving week myself. I'll be there Sunday before till Saturday after Thanksgiving. Someone may have already asked this question but I'd appreciate anyone helping me out with this.

I've heard that only the Christmas decorations in Magic Kingdom will be up before Thanksgiving. And the rest of the parks and resorts will have theirs up after Thanksgiving Day. Is this information true? I'm hoping that it's not true. That they will be up before then. I'd love to see the Christmas decor in all the parks and the deluxe resorts. But if they are up after Thanksgiving, I don't think I'll have enough time to visit them all.

Also, in the past, the holiday storytellers in Epcot started the day after Thanksgiving. I read on a different thread that now they start Sunday before. Can anyone confirm this? If so, it will make me very happy!

We usually go the week or 2 weeks before thanksgiving. The decorations are usually up in AK and DHS. The week before thanksgiving, the gingerbread house is ready at GF. We've also seen the contemporary gingerbread display before thanksgiving. Those are the ones I know about!

Had a super busy day today so I'm just now sitting down and getting to think about my plans! Today was ADR day (as it was for many of us) and I was able to book everything I wanted to get albeit maybe not the exact times I was hoping for. Nevertheless, they were close enough so I'm okay with what I have. I managed to get Trattoria al Forno for breakfast, CRT lunch, O'hana breakfast, Minnie's seasonal dine at Hollywood and Vine lunch, FoF lunch package at Tony's Town Square, BBB, and the HEA dessert party, among a few others. I'm super excited to start planning the day but alas bed calls. You know, since I was up at a stupid hour in order to get these reservations! I will be putting it all in my PTR soon!

We’ve gone the past two years the same week you are going (and are returning this year same days!). The Epcot festivities did move to an earlier start beginning last year. (Sunday or Monday instead of Friday). Food booths were up and I’m pretty sure story tellers were there also. Candlelight did not begin till Friday.
The parks are totally decked out for the holiday (now we’ve never been there closer to Christmas so not sure if they add more but I’m pretty sure if they do it’s not much). Our hotels have always been decorated as well (CBR and CSR). The beach club has an awesome carousel for the holidays that you should check out if you’re in the area.
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the decorations. You truely are immersed in the holiday!

What are the chances of park hours for my trip (Nov. 21-26) getting released by Disney before I make ADR's in 10 days? They're up to the 11th so far... I don't remember ever having this issue in the past!
