OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

so last Friday I was all excited saying we leave in 2 weeks - - until I realized the date and it was 3 weeks to go. So today... I get to be happy that it's 2 weeks from today that we leave! I may have to start thinking about what to take.
DH leaves for a hunting trip for the week prior so a lot of his things will be left to last minute to make sure he has what he wants - that will drive me crazy!!!

Technically you do get one tag per person, so two is correct for your travel party :)

However lol, Disney makes mistakes (shocker!) and ME makes A LOT, and sometimes they send double tags which you got! Or they'll send no tags like we got  But since we're not checking any bags it's ok-this time........

ME told me they were sending me 2 tags for each person since we were flying Southwest and had 2 bags free.

Well thanks to my son’s teacher my daughter found out about our trip. I didn’t think to tell his teacher it was a surprise as she never taught my daughter and doesn’t talk to her.

Oh well...she was excited and now I get to talk to her about it. She told me she didn’t think she was going to be able to sleep until we go.

Oh that stinks.

You reminded me that I need to notify my kids' teachers.

8 days to go and I'm going into freak out mode. I'm overwhelmed by the touring plans and I feel like I have too much planned. I think I'm gonna have to sit down amd figure out what is a "can't miss and what is "if we are up for it." I want to be flexible, but after so much planning I'm worried how I will react to the kids or, more likely, my husband telling me they just want to go back to the resort and chill. After planning for so long, I'm considering just deleting the touring plans, cancelling all ADRs and Fast passes, and just winging it. :scared::badpc:

Oh no! Step away from the mydisney site and take a breath. What if you keep all your ADRs and fast passes but don't plan all the other little things. I like to have an idea of what part of the park I want to be in but I keep it in my head. I don't put it on the excel sheet. This way it doesn't stress me out if we don't do it. I also try not to stress about making it to fast passes because at least there's no charge for them. I would totally stress about making it to a FOP fast pass but not my Safari one.

I'm really trying to relax this trip and enjoy the small things like drinks and food. I just read about a hot chocolate martini flight in HS. I so want to try at least one of those martinis. And the new margarita place in Mexico should be opening any day now. I hope we get to try that too.

Fellow sickies here. My daughter and I were just diagnosed with sinus infections on Wednesday and were given antibiotics by the very understanding nurse practitioner. I feel like these things always happen before vacations. We've got 10 days to knock it out. Fingers crossed.

Oh no! I hope you both feel better quick!! We are 18 days out and I 've got a horrible cold myself. Uughh

That was me a few days ago. I started to panic that I didn’t have a good plan and about the crowds and weather and I wouldn’t be able to get to do anything I want to do. I also considered deleting all of my notes and just going with it. I’ve decided to just stick to my ADR’s and FP’s but allow ourselves to change our FP’s if we want to (we hardly ever stick with our original FP’s anyways).
Now I only have 3 days of work left and it all just hit me today. The trip is so soon and I’m giddy with excitement. I don’t know how I’m going to be productive at work. All I can think about is my amazing trip ahead of me and all of the food I want to try! And all of these new menus and holiday pictures/details aren’t helping my focus any!!

This gives me hope that my mood will get better. Right now I'm so stressed I just want it to be over. I've been super excited for as long as I can remember but now I feel like this trip is looming over me. Hopefully that will turn to excitement soon.

I’m sure it will pass! I also put aside most of my stuff to put into my suitcase and I think that was stressing me out a lot. Once I packed I felt a lot better about things. I think it made it more real. No matter what the plans or crowds are, I’ll be in Walt Disney World so I’ll be happy :)

Yeah it did, but now I’m not bursting to tell her and we can both be excited for the next week. Plus my dd wanted new converse and my grandma got her some for her birthday. Now she can have them before the trip, break them in for the week and bring them with.

I agree about relaxing and taking it easy. I booked ADR’s but I’ve been canceling a few because as the trip gets closer my dislike of a schedule while on vacation gets stronger. I like to go with the flow and let the park happen to me. Even if I “miss” stuff, I feel like I have a more complete experience this way. Also, since I’m not able to eat much anymore my focus on food is so much less.

Though I have to say I’m on the hunt for a good dessert. Everything I had last year I thought was disgusting except this cupcake I got on Main Street. I even tried Sprinkles and was very disappointed. I’m bring enough protein snacks from home so that I can eat all the treats in the parks. :mickeybar:rotfl2:

I felt that way a few days ago, but I am excited again now. I was super stressed about everything, but now my husband and daughter are getting excited and that helps my mood. Hopefully I can keep the promise to myself to stop tweaking stuff :)

Have you tried the butterfinger cupcake at HS? I think it's at the Trolley Car. I haven't yet but heard good things about it.
