Anybody else worried about an influx of people rescheduling for November due to Hurricane Irma? I certainly appreciate that other families want/need to reschedule their vacations and get their money's worth (I would do the same!), but I'm also secretly (ok... selfishly) hoping our "low crowd" week (13th-17th) doesn't suddenly double in size.

I haven't even thought about people rescheduling because of Irma. That's something that I can't control so I'm not going to worry about it. I am worried about not being able to get a FP for Flights of Passage and booking a ROL dining package for Tusker House. I'm tempted to cancel the TH reservation I have now and see if it pops up in the ROL package but I'm too scared to do it.

I hesitated to even post about it (first world problems), but I've had other friends traveling at the same time mention it to me, and I figured this was a safe space to ask. I was curious what others thought. My assumption is that most people going now are wanting to visit Food and Wine Festival, which ends at the beginning of our travel week. I would assume they would reschedule for another time within that window, but then there's the question of hotel availability for the rest of that time. I could be wrong.

I've been following the Irma thread and the majority of people there are rescheduling within in the next 1-2 weeks OR moving trips out to early next year. I've seen very few, if any, who moved to Nov or Dec (probably because there is very little availability at any of the hotels).

My FP day is Sept. 20. I feel unprepared. Should I have something written down??? Tell me some strategies that you use...

We create an Excel spead sheet. We have a row for each week and columns for each day (calendar style). We list the day and date, park for that day, time park closes, and then we insert our dining ADRs with restaurant name and ADR time. Then we add in the Fastpass rides and times we want. We make sure they work around our ADRs. We work off that chart when we book our ADRs then our FPs.

We booked our FPs at 7am in our tent while camping. We were worried about reception on our iPhones but it worked great. We got everything we wanted including 7DMT, FOP, Navi River, Frozen.

Hopefully this isn't considered Off Topic, but since we are talking about Tusker House... does anyone know of any Quick Service that has ham? Like the ham served at TH breakfast buffet (not cold cuts).

We had a TH ADR for breakfast one Thursday morning, but decided to cancel it. We enjoy the buffet breakfast, but we feel it's just too time consuming, and we aren't crazy about "Character" meals. We realized we only really go for the ham. We didn't think the time and money (for 4 people) was really worth it. So I'm wondering if we can get comparable ham anywhere else. ??? Edited to add: Hoping for it in Quick Service in the parks.

I'm trying to find a late breakfast for 5 at Tusker House on either the 16 or 20 but nothing's coming up...in fact, just for kicks, I searched for all of Nov and nothing is coming up for a party of 5 for any day. I even called the dining line and the CM told me that they don't open up availability for dining packages until 60 days out, but I see from these boards that plenty of people are booking...what gives?

I am in your same boat! I was on at 7:00 this morning and there was nothing available for the 21st for over a party of 2, but I'm seeing tons of people post that they were able to book in both November and December. It's very confusing.

Those look really great! We were disappointed last year when they cancelled the Star Wars fireworks and put Jingle Jam, Jingle Bam in its place. But this new stuff looks like it will be a huge improvement over last's year's offering.

I was able to book a 3:30 lunch at TH on 11/12 for four people. Going back in, I still see availability for a late lunch for that day. But I never saw any availability for earlier lunches or breakfasts.

The HS projection show sounds pretty cool. We saw Jingle Bell Jingle Bam last year so we can do the new one this year. We did not spend enough time in the World Showcase last year to get to fully experience the holiday stuff so this year we're going to plan more time there.

Keep trying. I canceled one for 6 on November 9th a couple of days ago. I'm so sorry to anyone that wanted it that I didn't think to post that I was going to cancel it.

Thank you I will keep trying. Thats my youngest DS 5th birthday and I was only able to get lunch on my ADR day. His birthday is the day after we check in so ADR's were harder to get for that day. There were lots available during the middle and end of our trip. FP+ day is coming up Sunday and I am so unprepared this time! I usually have a plan at least a month in advance, LOL. My youngest just started Kindergarten and it has been an adjustment getting 3 out the door for the bus instead of 2. How is everyone finding FP+ availability this year?
