OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

I just bought my flight down for the 1st. Yesterday the flight was $152 and today it was $91. With my credit it ended up costing me just under $24! Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Now to hope I find an equally great deal for my flight home!

Wow! That's awesome!

Ugh, how frustrating! It does seem like by 180 days, all the in-demand ADRs are gone.

I messed up when I booked CMs on Monday and forgot to finish the reservation. I know I got it, but I just must not have clicked all the way through. Realized it yesterday when I was organizing all of my ADRs, and when I tried again there was nothing available. At this point, it's still 180+1, and CMs is booked solid for the day already. I imagine people staying offsite probably aren't gonna have a lot of luck with the ADRs unless they get lucky at the 30 day mark.

I'm pissed at myself because I already told the kids (4 and 6) that we were going to have breakfast with Mickey and friends. Here's hoping they forget...

Don't give up on the CM. I was able to get CM, OHana breakfast, and a BOG lunch like a month or so out when we went last year. I did touring plans reservation finder but a couple I found by just checking in the middle of the night. I have insomnia so I'm always waking up around 2/3 am and I switched some of my ADRs last year doing that. I also got a Beaches and Cream that way but dropped it later because it didn't fit with our plans well.

Yesterday we decided to book a trip during this 4th of July. So I booked flights last night, my room today, and just bought annual passes this morning. I booked fast passes this morning and there was a lot available. I was nervous since that week is supposed to be crazy. It's only a 5 night stay so not a super long trip. We decided not to do any ADRs for the trip and just stick to QS and snacks to see how that works out. We'll do ADRs in November. Eeek! I'm nervous, I've never planned such a short notice trip like this before for ANYWHERE and there's so much going on around here. And what am I going to wear? I hate shorts!

I'm excited for flights tomorrow. I'm only going to book the flight there and hold off on booking the flights home because I want to use SW points that I won't have for a month or 2. We're more flexible with times on the way home so I'm hoping it works out. I just don't want flights to be insanely high on the way home (12/3). FX!

I really feel that they can't have opened up all the reservations. It's crazy that everything would be booked already.

It's true. They do hold back reservations. Keep checking. Also, look for the thread here regarding cancelled reservations for the month. A lot of postings will hit regarding cancellations. I've dropped numerous reservations and others were able to pick them up without a problem and vice versa.

Read the guidelines. You can't post what you're looking for. You can just post what you need to cancel and have them contact you through the PM.

I've used it before :) That's how I got my CP PPO last trip.

We're going to be staying at Pop Century from November 5-10. I'm having a hard time getting reservations for dining and we're 172 days out. Is this a bad time to go? Should we change our plans? I know it's Jersey Week and it's still Food and Wine but back when I researched dates and chose these most people said those two things weren't that much of an issue.
Thanks for any help anyone has to offer!

I'm not sure why ADRs are so bad that week, I'm having the same issue. But I also went last year same week and loved it. Weather was perfect, crowds were manageable.

Southwest flights are up. No cheap fares the Sunday after Thanksgiving, so pushing my trip back a day.

Anyone know a good way to monitor the fares? I know Southwest will credit back funds if they go down.

You know, that's a really good idea. I just googled it and here seem to be a few apps that will track airline ticket prices. Might be worth looking into....

I expected much cheaper fares...Ugh. I'm gonna wait a month or so to see if there are any deals.

I am also curious to know if there is a good way to track prices or get alerts. I used to use farecompare but that was a long time ago.

Just saw this on a ticket searching site:

"Southwest prefers to distribute its prices through direct sales channels and rarely authorizes an outside entity to interface with its Web site for automated price checking. However, you can monitor their prices by visiting southwest.com. If the price drops below what you paid, you may be able to obtain a refund by calling Southwest customer service at 1-800-435-9792."

Seems like there is no real way to receive an alert if the price drops, other than continually checking SW's site.

we booked southwest for the sunday after thanksgiving their was only one flight left out of the airport we use that was not sold out i do not know how many seats are left

I booked right away and the price is already up $70/ticket. I hope prices drop, but booked because it was pretty close to what I expected and we could use the credit if prices go down. Good luck everyone!

Made my ADR's this am. I had to switch my plans around since I wanted a late seating at Rose & Crown to view Illuminations.
Breakfast options in the Epcot area was non-existent except for Cape May since Capt's Grill seems to not be loaded yet.
Same issue with lunch on our MK day as LTT was not loaded yet.
Overall I am pleased as I did get the others I wanted at the times I wanted

I booked with SW this morning. I just did the flight there since we needed a later flight and there weren't many options. Plus our flight there is 11/24 so Friday after Turkey day which I may never go down.

We usually just drive from Canada because it saves us a lot of money and my oldest DS gets earaches easily. I just checked SW from Buffalo to Orlando out of curiosity and it would be over $2600 Americn for our family of 5 to fly to WDW!:scared: We spent less than $1000 American to drive to WDW last year! 3 kids in the car for 19 hours but it's kinda fun road tripping.:car:

So if the prices drop, will they issue a refund, or just give a voucher for a future trip?

You get issued a credit but you must use it towards a flight that's within the year of original purchase. I thought you just had to book another flight within the year and didn't realize the actual flight had to be within the year. I just found out Tuesday and missed out on my $144 credit. Live and learn.

Has anyone had luck with Garden Grill?? I book on Sunday and was hoping for Thanksgiving dinner. I see people saying there is no availability.

I agree....Today was my 180. I was logged on at 5:59am and Bon Voyage wasn't available till the last day of our trip?! You know, the day we don't have tix for :-/ here's hoping touringplans.com res alert comes through!!
