OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

I got my Akershus!! Looks like they released a bunch of reservations because all of my days and all meals had availability. Persistence is key like so many of you said! :)

Currently have a PPO Hollywood and Vine breakfast, for the sole purpose of signing up for Jedi training! We had dinner there last November and we all agreed hands down it was the worst disney restaurant we ate at! (Garden grill a close second!). With that said, is the breakfast there decent? Is it worth keeping this ressie or no? TIA!

We did it a few years ago for the same reason, and are doing it again this year. From what I remember, the food was fine - Basic breakfast/nothing fancy, but they did have Mickey waffles so the kids were happy. But, the interactions of characters and the ability to get in early were both excellent.

Breakfast is the same as most buffet places. Decent and good

Disney Jr pals are there but best of all was getting in line for Jedi training

We were in the restaurant when mad rush passed by, I quickly took older boys to get in line. Good thing as by the time we got registered the end of the line was for standby

Just booked! Going to be down there November 11th-20th with my mom. :hyper:
So happy to be there for Fall Dapper Day after being there for Spring. I'll also be celebrating my birthday late (my birthday is October 5th but there's no better place to celebrate than Disney) and Christmas early.

We booked some dining tonight too but we're waiting to find an opening for BOG for lunch (our favorite) and the Bon Voyage Breakfast (we went in April and we LOVED it. It's a must do for us again, especially because Tangled is one of my three favorite animated movies (up there with Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland) and Rapunzel is my favorite princess.

Breakfast is hard to mess up. I thought about booking H&V just for jedi training but my son doesn't seem to care if he does it again. So I figure if we go and there's an opening great, if not oh well. I'm sure once we get down there it will be a must-do for him and I'll be kicking myself.

Finally booked our flights for 11/24, prices kept increasing and finally I grabbed flights when they decreased enough. Still cheaper to fly out on 11/24 versus 11/26 when our FD package begins. So we booked two extra nights and that was still cheaper than flying on 11/25 or 11/26. We aren't getting park tickets or dining though. Our plan is just to spend that Saturday at Disney Springs and checking out some of the other resorts Christmas decor. And on 11/26 when our package begins, we will switch from POR to AoA.

This is our second trip and I can't wait!!! Myself, DH, DS (12), DD (11) and DS (8).

Now to get our MVMCP tickets for 11/28 and finalize our dining choices, ADR's are soon!

We are flying in a day early too because it was cheaper to fly out on 11/24 than 11/25. Our flight on 11/24 doesn't land till almost 7 because dh had to work. We're staying at POP for the one night. We'll probably just hang at the resort and try to rope drop HS the next day.

I got a Sci-Fi and Garden Grill question for everyone.
1. Last time we went to Sci-Fi we were told we didn't need to make a reservation for our child (only 1 at that time) if they sat with us in the same row in a car. Anybody hear anything similar?
2. We got a decent ADR for early entrance into Epcot at Garden Grill for 5 but we will now be taking our infant in with us. Any body know what I should expect to hear if I call in and see if I can bump the reservation from 5 to 6 for an 10 month old who could sit in our laps?

Thanks!

Ya'll!!!!

MY ADR DATE IS MONDAY!!!!

SO excited as I have never done more than 1 ADR at a time.

2-3 of them are holders til we firm up plans a bit more and will cancel about 45 days out. Traveling with DH, DD (2) and inlaws. Reason for so many breakfast is I'm afraid after a long and filling day DD might be a grump. Rather go with breakfast or lunch when I know she's in a good mood

Here they are in no particular order
Boma Dinner & Boma Breakfast (not sure if the Fam want Boma dinner & Tusker House lunch)

Tusker House Lunch and Tusker House Breakfast-on the off chance I can convince the Fam to get up early on day 1 when we are staying off site the night before)

Akershus breakfast

Ohana's Breakfast

Be our guest breakfast
Be our guest for dessert?? Iffy on this We will be celebrating DD turning 3 so I was like ooh go have cupcakes there but IDK

Crystal Palace Lunch

Whispering Canyon dinner

San Angel Inn Lunch

I noticed you've mentioned in another post that you make reservations Monday. Even though your FD and trip package begins 11/25, you are still checking into a Disney resort on 11/24, doesn't that enable you to start making reservations on Sunday? I thought mine would start Tuesday because our package starts at AoA on 11/26 but we check in to POR on 11/24 and was told we can make reservations beginning Sunday. It's based on staying at a resort period.

But I might've misunderstood. Just checking your thoughts.

I can book for 11/24 on Sunday but it won't let me go past 11/25. I'm only doing POP one night. Maybe I'm wrong which would be great but I thought the system doesn't acknowledge split stays as one so it's 2 separate reservations with different ADR & FP days.

My 11/25 reservation is only going to be for Prime Time so I was just going to wait till Monday to book while I do the others. I'm not picky about the time for that.

Now you give me wondering. I'm going to login on Sunday morning & see if it will let me do the whole trip. I'm going away for the weekend. I hope the wifi works there.
