four weeks! Four weeks! FOUR WEEKS!!!

Excited.gif

sorry, had to get that out of my system :)

I can't say that I'm too pleased that 2 of our Magic Kingdom days the park will be opening at 8am. We have 8:30 breakfast at CRT and the next day at Crystal Palace. So much for beating the crowds in and getting a few things done after breakfast before the park gets super crowded...

Our last day in the parks is the 10th, so if the parade taping is that day, we will miss it. I'm not sure if I'm upset about it or not! While I would love to see the parade being taped, I feel like it would make things super busy and I don't think DD and DS would sit for that long.

I just feel that with this trip I'm feeling more stressed than excited. I'm nervous about how the kids will sleep in the hotel, how they will be trying to go to bed being in the same room. I'm nervous about how things will go in the parks with both kids. I'm nervous about how busy it might be and I'm hoping we get to see and do everything we want. I know all our days won't go smoothly, but I want to feel more excited.

My vent for the day :crazy2:

On the up side, I started packing last night! :thumbsup2

11/12 -11/19 split = POR for Sat/Sun /BLT rest. Got 7d PH b/c stupid cheap on Parksavers, expect 1 resort day, but with short hours, maybe a couple of half days.

Just joining this board. Last minute jump on the band wagon of my mom's trip. She is attending a wedding and is bringing my 6yo DD. Since they are already going and have a room and I didn't want my 4 yo DS to miss out (solid excuse, right?), I decided to tag along, using some recently earned bonus money. Will be our second time in November, prior was in 2012 Jersey Week (CBR). Loved the lower crowds, made up for ride refurb. didn't really need fastpass then, hoping same this time.

However, though I am super psyched to stay at BLT being walking distance from MK and monorail from Epcot, I am super bummed that half the nights are the christmas party @ MK (closing at 7pm Tues, Friday) and the cast party? is Thursday @MK closing at 4:30). I had visions of strolling over for one last ride and a treat before bed, but I have a feeling those open nights will now be pretty busy and we won't be watching fireworks from the hotel. still so much fun, but bummed.

B/c kids are young, not interested in purchasing the christmas party tickets for the other night, though i may soften up when I see all the fun.

Not typically into hard core touring planning, just trying to figure out a general idea working around my mom's wedding festivities schedule.

- How much to take on solo with a 6 and 4 yo (I will have them two afternoon/evenings, Mon, Tues). What should I try and do with them?

- What's even open at HS? that 6 and 4 year olds may be into. Star wars ride was cool, but that alone might not be enough to warrant a day.

- Love AK, am I hearing no ROL yet? Any chance they will preview parts of Pandora? How are evening safaris? And with AK closing at 7, are they even really doing any of the nighttime stuff at AK?

- Anyone know anything about the cast party, i.e., what to expect on 11/17, in the adjacent resorts; do they do fireworks (i.e., that we can steal a view of from BLT/Contemporary)?

Just a few questions/comments. :) Have fun all!

Going to be there exact same timeframe!

Disney just extended the hours on non-party nights! Though it may be more crowded, you (and everyone else) will have more time. So, hopefully it won't "feel" as crowded.

I think you can definitely take on MK solo! Many, if not most, of the rides that your kiddos will likely want to do will accommodate all three of you.

Disney just announced a Christmas themed nighttime show (projections, fireworks, etc.) in DHS with Prep & Landing. It starts 11/14. So, that might be something worth hopping over for! See this thread for more info:

Strong rumors are they will start soft opening in about two weeks! So, we are all just in wait-and-see mode. They do have all the other nighttime entertainment - music/dance parties, Tree of Life Awakening.

See my comments above in blue. Happy planning!

I am in the same boat! We have an 8:15am reservation at Crystal Palace on Nov 9th. I'm holding out hope that they might still let us into the park earlier to get some pictures before the mass of crowds come thru at 8am!

I am trying not to stress about it though and figure with the park now being open til 1am (with EMH) we will have plenty of time to enjoy everything

Now we need to figure out if we should leave around 5:00pm and go back to Pop for a break/dinner and come back for 8:00pm for wishes and the later hours or just stay put! Lol

Only 19 more days to go!!

Hi there! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they definitely won't let you in early for a 8:15am reservation with an 8am opening. I didn't want you to get your hopes up! It's always a pain when your PPO breakfast becomes an "already-opened" breakfast! :(

I have 22 more days to go, so I'm right there with you! Hope you guys have an awesome trip :)

LOL...I figured as much but here's hoping for a little pixie dust :tink:

I hope you have an awesome trip as well! :)

Jealous of all you with ME post and magicband deliveries! I'm from UK so don't get them posted here :guilty:

Last week I was able to print my airline flying documents and hotel vouchers :) So I suppose that's something haha.

:tinker: 23 sleeps :tinker:

We don't get our magic bands delivered here in Canada either! That's okay because we are going to Disney in 25 days!!:yay:

Off topic from all of the Magic band and ME posts (hopefully we will be getting ours in the next week!)...I need to make a choice, I have two options for dinner on the 23rd and two options for dinner on the 25th...I need to start thinking about cutting it down, especially since I don't believe I am going to get the 1900 PF dinner on the 23rd at this point in the game. Soooo if these were your options, what would you do? First day in the parks, at MK on the 23rd, stick to CP dinner (even though we don't really care about the character interaction) OR spend the day in MK, go back to our resort (OKW) and change into nicer clothes, go back in MK direction to dinner at Narcoossee's and then head back to MK in our nicer attire? On the 25th, I was able to get a 1900 PF dinner, however it takes the place of our other Narcoossee's reservation. So unless a miracle happens and someone drops 1900 PF on the 23rd, we are definitely doing this dinner on Friday. Ariane37...I know you are a big fan of Narcoossee's so my guess is you will tell me to stick to it :)
