***Official November 2016 Thread***

The convenience of the monorail and the extra bathroom are the main reasons I'm considering the upgrade. My mom might not go again, so she wants to "do it right."

Ok, I can understand that. The only other thing about the villa versus the standard room is the sleeping options. I always prefer an actual bed over a pull-out sleeper, and I believe the Poly would give you a sleeper versus two beds at CBR. When we stayed at the Poly, we did a split stay. That way, we could experience it for one night, but spent the bulk of our vacation elsewhere. Is that an option? Another way to look at it is a $350 increase per night for 4 nights. You could actually book two rooms at CBR for that price. Just some things to consider....

The monorail is the best part of any Deluxe. Aside from that, the rooms are definitely nicer thank most MODS. Also most restaurants are better there. That being said, its a huge difference in price, which as said, could be spent in other ways.

I always appreciate the monorail/deluxe at 3 times....
End of day, seeing all the poor souls carrying children to the bus stop and TTT.
When I need or forgot something in the room.
When someone feels tired or sick and wants to go back, and the rest of the party does not.

You just made me so thankful my kids are grown and this is going to be a child free trip. I don't miss carrying the kids back to the room after a long day in the parks.

Though I'm getting old, it might be me wishing for the stroller or being carried. :joker:

If it's a once in a lifetime trip for your mom I'd spring for the Poly. But CBR is nice too from what I have heard.

Okay I made my ADRs Monday and Wednesday (Split stay) and I think I did pretty well! I still have to figure out where I am eating on my date night with DH at Disney Springs, and I will likely add a dining package for Rivers of Life if/when they open up later in the year.

Sat Nov 5th - Check in at Poly Villas - 1900 Park Fare 6:20pm
Sun Nov 6th: Liberty Tree Town Tavern Lunch - 11:30am, Ohana 7:20 pm :yay:

Monday Nov 7th: Kona Breakfast - 9:45am Food and Wine grazing that evening after moving to Old Key West.

Tuesday Nov 8th: Me and DD - Be Our Guest Breakfast (might switch this to the MK early morning event if they offer it) - Yak and Yeti - 11:30am

Wednesday Nov 9th - Universal day - Olivias 7:20pm

Thursday Nov 10th - Epcot - San Angel Inn 11:30am - Hoop de do 4pm - I wanted the 6:15pm shows but there are none available that week. This is apparently an issue for a lot of people going October and November so maybe they are adjusting the schedules or dropping one of the shows.

Friday Nov 11th - Universal day - This is likely a date night for Dh and I - no plans yet - I am waiting to see if Edison will be open by then

Saturday - Nov 12th - Sci-fi dine in 12:10pm

Sunday - Nov 13th - Tusker House 10:30am

I decided to keep the Hoppers that I was thinking about getting rid of. I think that outside of our ADRs we want to remain flexible. My daughter in particular is older and might want to go to some parks without us at night.

Phew. Now it's time for tweaking and waiting until online check in and fastpass+ selection.

Hey everyone, I just made all of our ADRs for our trip and I was able to get everything I wanted for around the times that I wanted too. I couldn't be happier with them (first time that I feel like I won't have to tweak anything...well, who am I kidding, for now that is :rotfl:). I was able to get BOG lunch without any problems and O'hana dinner too, especially at a really decent time (this will be a first for us, we normally have breakfast there), my girls and I are doing our traditional Tea at the Gardenview Tea Room on our arrival day, plus I was able to get pre-park opening ADRs for Garden Grill, Chef Mickey's, and Akershus. Of course I had to get up at the crack of dawn to make my ADRs :sad2:, but that is o.k. it helped me get what I wanted...can't wait for the rest of the family to wake up so I can show them what I did :goodvibes. Good luck to everyone else who will be/are making ADRs....hopefully you all get what you want.

Wow, that's impressive :teeth:. I hope your family are highly appreciative of your early start and hard work :flower3:

All the successful ADR posts are making me excited! A few more days!

If we get a Pre-park opening for exactly 8 (and the park opens at 9) what time do they let you in? 8? Should I shoot for 815 if I want to grab some shots of my littles in front of the castle?

We had 8:05 reservations. We were let in at 7:45. We had just enough time for a quick picture and booked it to BOG.

Tomorrow is my adr day :scared:

Tonight I will be going over my plans and making any final adjustments :magnify:

Keep your fingers crossed for me guys!

Me too, good luck!
Have the QSDP this trip so only making a few Tusker House, Minnie's Holiday Dine and BOG breakfast and lunch. Hoping the fact that FD does not start until 11/15 will make it a bit easier to get ADRs.

Glad you got all the ADR's you wanted! Have you done GG breakfast yet? We did it last Nov. and loved it; doing it (as long as we get it) again this year at DS10's request :)

No, we haven never done the breakfast just the dinner and I cannot wait to try it. That was one reservation that I was really hoping to get for our trip, well that and O'hana dinner since we have never done that one either :goodvibes.

Yippee, all done :cloud9: And breath . Just waiting for BBB to open so I can hopefully make a reservation to fit in with our CRT adr.

We got all the restaurants at roughly the times we wanted :goodvibes. The most important ones for us was CRT and Chef Mickey's, the only time they had for CRT for the date we wanted was 5:25 which is the perfect time for us. I even had a spare DDP allocation so went for Sci-Fi dine in theatre.

The only question I have is.....I've got a reservation at Liberty Tree for 4:25 on a party night, we don't have tickets so will this be enough time to eat and get out?

Good luck to everyone! Let me know how you get/got on @scard192 please.

We have always been in and out of LTT in about an hour (and that is even after ordering dessert), which will leave more then enough time to slowly walk out of MK before the party starts, you could probably even get on one more ride (possibly two depending on wait times) before leaving too. Enjoy LTT, it is one of our favorites :goodvibes.

Thank goodness the Wishes schedule is out at last! Is there a link to a calendar that shows it other than the official disney site? It keeps crashing my browser!

Just had a look at the firework scheduled and rearranged some ADRs to fit now feel slightly better.

Would feel a whole lot better if I could have got a BOG reservation for dinner one night of my trip, oh well guess I will just keep checking.

Don't worry I will fit it into my daily schedule:

Get up, get washed, eat breakfast, brush teeth, check BOG, go to work, get lunch, check BOG, afternoon work, travel home, check BOG, cook dinner, watch TV, check BOG, brush teeth, get into bed, check BOG then go to sleep lol
