***Official November 2016 Thread***

So, there are no consequences to making a "fake" reservation while we settle on our dates and then book something new with a TA? I would obviously just cancel our original reservation, but keep all ADRs that match up with our set dates, and cancel the ADRs that do not. Nothing could go wrong here, right? haha, I just want to make sure I am doing this correctly!
Nope, not at all! Technically it's not even a "fake" reservation, it's a reservation for when you "think" you may be going down........the only thing that could go wrong as you say is that by the time you go to cancel and rebook with a TA, the room type you want at the resort you want may not still be available. For that reason I would have a backup choice.

Not unless you are the official Mrs Disney that plans the schedule? :smickey:
LOL if I was, I guarantee it would be complete by now ::yes:: :sad2:!!!!

Right it's getting worse, I am now having Major ADR anxiety (I thinking it should become a reconsidered health issue, as I know I can't be the only one who suffers from it lol)

It's Disney and there lack of Fireworks Schedule, messing with what's left of my tiny mind.:joker:

so now I'm making multiple booking for the same days and getting stressed with all my planning,

So needed to vent on the boards. As when I raised the issue with my DH he's like, it's ages away do we really have to start planning these things now, Freaking amateur
Totally understand the DH issue...when I vent to mine his response is " what's the problem ". The life of a husband aye?!

I've lived in a few different states: Illinois, Colorado, and now Iowa. I've never heard of schools or businesses closing for Election Day!

I've lived in CA, NC and FL and never had a day off for election day for myself, as a teacher or for my kids.

The discussion about how many days kids are off of school made me wonder how many days (if any) everyone takes their kids out of school to go to Disney?

My kids are in 6th, 2nd, and Kindergarten and this year they missed 3 days in late September. Next year (7th, 3rd, and 1st), they'll also miss three days in November to go to Disney.

(We also took them out for 3 days to visit Washington DC.)

My kids missed 3 days this past week for Disney. And they will miss Friday for my husband's retirement.

I did ADR's this past Friday while at Disney. I had trouble getting 12 at Via Napoli before the half, but that's not that surprising. We just did a table for 8 and a table for 4. Couldn't get BOG for either of our first two nights when we'd wanted it so hopefully something will open up. Let the stalking begin! LOL!

Had my 180 day today and got up and got everything we wanted! Hope those Fantasmic packages get released soon!
Congratulations!!! I have been checking every morning to see how fast everything books up for the ADR's we want and today everything seemed to go FAST! I am glad you got everything you wanted!:)

I was logged on a 5:55 and as soon as it clicked to 6:00, I was off! I ranked everything and did the hardest to get first (and, later in our stay) and it all went well.

What are you hoping for?

The kids don't want BOG dinner or CRT this time so I am hoping it will be easier, LOL! We want Sci-fi dinner, BOG PPO breakfast, H&V Minnie's Holiday Dine, Akershus breakfast or dinner(haven't decided yet), Tusker House dinner, Crystal Palace dinner and we are undecided on our last ADR.

I bet you'll get it all if you are ready at 6:00 am. I got a BOG PPO and Akershus early breakfast, also. Best of luck!

So, with Minnie's Holiday meal at H&V, will that include Fantasmic no matter what or, if I reserve it when I can before packages are released, will I have to go back and redo it once Fantasmic dates are released?

I feel like I'm asking so many stupid questions...

Not a stupid question at all!:) I was wondering the same thing. I think we will have to rebook it as a Fantasmic package when they are released. I am going to book it without Fantasmic and try to get Fantasmic when it is released. If I can't get it , I will still (hopefully) have H&V Minnie's Holiday dine and just FP Fantasmic.

You have to book the Fantasmic packages separately. If you just book the H&V meal, you won't have the Fantasmic option. What I did was book the H&V meal and if/when they release the F! package, I'll go back and book that instead and cancel my regular meal. If they don't release the F! package, or if I can't get a ressie for that, at least I'll still have the dinner. Does that make sense?

You're both awesome- totally makes sense! Thank you so much!

Don't forget to recheck , many ADR's get cancelled. Watch the cancellation thread for times and cancellations.

I plan on booking ADR's at multiple parks since WDW has decided not to give a Wishes schedule. So I will have cancellations also.

I'm probably likely to un-convince you, but what's the price difference and any difference in details (room category, free dining, etc.)?

It's $1400 more for a deluxe studio villa at Poly than a standard at CBR with free dining for me, my husband, my mom, and my two boys for 4 nights.

No, so long as you cancel the day before the ADR......There is a limit as to how many ADR you can make in a certain time frame.... (cannot make 4 for the same hour).

From WDW
Restaurants offering advance reservations charge a per- person cancellation fee for reservations cancelled after the designated cancellation period, or for no shows. Each restaurant at the Walt Disney World® Resort maintains its own cancellation policy, so be sure to confirm the policy before finalizing your reservation.

Personally, that's alot of money that could go towards other things. We stayed at CBR last year and Poly the year before that. The Poly is nice, but I'm not sure it's $1400 nice, especially with children who appear to be too young to know the difference. Is there a reason you're looking at the Poly?

The convenience of the monorail and the extra bathroom are the main reasons I'm considering the upgrade. My mom might not go again, so she wants to "do it right."
