***Official November 2014 thread***

princess: I have 2 Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservations for MK on Nov 13th but would like to move them to the 14th. If anyone has the 14th & wants to trade, please PM me. Thanks!

Hello!
I have a question, sorry if it has been asked before. I have a 10-day package booked with free dining for November. HOWEVER, now I have to make it 9 days...
If I call to change my reservation, do I lose the free dining plan for the other 9 days, now that the offer is over?
PLEASE HELP! Thanks!

No, you shouldn't. You need to have a 3-night minimum, and you have to at least check-in during a valid promo date. Assuming you meet those requirements, it should be ok. When you call, just verify before committing!

Can anyone give me an opinion on hopper passes for the parks? Are they worth getting? This is our first time to Disney and we are getting mixed reviews. My kids are 4 &7. TIA.

We have done trips with and without the hopper, and I honestly think it depends on where you are staying. Last time, we stayed at Beach Club, which is a short walk to EPCOT, and we regretted not getting the hopper. It would have been so easy to walk to dinner in the WS every night! This November, we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and we opted for the hopper. We are determined to use it at least once! I do think it will be easier now that buses run directly between the parks.

We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge (6th trip with the kids, but 1st time at AKL) Nov. 1-8. Counting down the days... 79 to go!!! Woo-hoo!

We got them on our first trip together in '04 and didn't feel we really utilized them enough. Over the past few years we went hopperless and enjoyed going to one park per day. Last year, however, we went with friends who have AP's and we decided to get hoppers to be able to hop like they could. We made very good use out of them and loved that we weren't restricted to one park a day. You could eat in one park in the morning and go to see fireworks in another at night. If we weren't with them, we probably wouldn't get them. It really depends on how you want to spend your days. There's nothing wrong with just going to one park per day, probably makes it easier, if anything. (especially with younger kids!) Good luck deciding!

Trying to decide if we should do Epcot with the little ones again they are 4 & 7. Without the hopper pass it would limit us. We have 4 days of passes. I was thinking 2 days MK, 1 at HS, and 1 at AK. I keep hearing the little ones won't like Epcot. Any thoughts?

Actually for us, my little ones were bored at AK and preferred Epcot!! Look at each park page on Disney's website and see which you feel your kids would enjoy more. I feel there's a lot more little ones can do at EP, but every family is different!! Good luck deciding!

Busses run between the parks now? I thought they only go between resorts and parks, not park to park.

My understanding is it's actually the opposite.

There are no busses that can get you from resort to resort. That's one of the biggest questions on the transportation section. "How do I get from resort x to resort y do an ADR at whatever time.?"

For us, I would do 1 day at each park, so that you can include Epcot. Our girls were 7 & 4 last year, and one of their favorite rides is in Epcot--the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros (ok, it's my favorite, too!). They also love Turtle Talk with Crush, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, SeaBase, Spaceship Earth, and Living with the Land ride. Plus, they love the Phineas & Ferb Adventure where you get cell phones that make objects mysteriously appear or move throughout the World Showcase. We've also done Pick-a-Pearl in Epcot's Japan, which was an awesome experience. Our girls also enjoyed snacking around the world (they loved Morocco!) and having fun at some of the Innoventions pavillions and character greeting spots (Mary Poppins!).

Will you be attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at all? We generally like to include an extra ticket event like MVMCP, so that we can see MK a second time without using up 2 days of park tickets.

In previous years, we have skipped AK, so that we could see the other parks. Last year, we decided to include it again, and our girls surprised us by absolutely loving that park! They had so much fun earning Wilderness Explorers badges. I think each park has their own can't-miss attractions, so I would opt for visiting each park at least once!

Yes, I am not sure when it started (recently, I would assume), but there are now buses that run directly between the parks, without having to transfer from the Transportation Center or a resort.
