***Official November 2014 thread***

Happy Mothers Day, and then more importantly ;), how did the ADRs go?

It went well and thank you. :)

At first, the CM said I couldn't book past the check out date of the first part of my split stay but she tried and the ADRs went through. Yay!

Hello! We booked last week 12 nights!!! Can't wait! We are 11/09-11/21 at All-Star Sports. This will be our third trip is 3 years!
:banana:

YAY!!!!! I'll definitely try then on Friday. Might have DH try on his phone too. How long are the waits on the dining line?

My vacation is scheduled for 11/21-12/1. I have never done my own ADRs. I have always relied on a wonderful TA who always got whatever we wanted somehow. However, she retired this year, and I am doing everything myself. When I call the ADR line do I just go day by day with my list of restaurants or do I give the CM all of the restaurants at once? I am sorry for my ignorance, but I just want to know what to expect, ask for, etc. Any help here or is there another thread that could help? Thanks!

I booked BOG online immediately at 6 AM when my window opened. Booking online is super easy. You should play around with it so when your time comes you are familiar with how to do it. If you are staying onsite, and looks like you are, you can book up to 10 days at one time. Online starts at 6 AM Eastern, whereas calling begins at 7 Eastern. Prioritize your ADRs so you know which order to book in....it doesn't have to be by day if that makes sense.

I started dialing at 4:58 (my time), just kept hitting re-dial and got a person almost immediately. I had a little hiccup after I hung up when I noticed that she booked my DH's name and my DS as the guests on our Hoop Dee Doo reservations (instead of me and my DS) so I had to call back, waited 15 minutes then, so definitely try getting in as close to the dining line opening as possible!

We will have to call right away. I will have about 25 minutes to make some on the phone before I have to leave for work. And I'm making DH take the kids to daycare after he does a few too!

I will try it online at 5:00 am my time-yikes! I am not familiar with the system, so I do not know entirely what you mean by the prioritizing. I know I want BOG, Le Cellier, and Ohana and they are at the top of my list. I do not have a preference of when we go where. I guess I will just play around with the system as you suggested. Thank You for the help!

One more thing--I have a party of 9 (my wife and kids, me, + my parents) Any advice for a party this large?

Sounds like all the problems everyone had with ADRs at the beginning of the week got worked out by the end of this week.

I really need to come up with a game plan for November our ADR opens the day we get back from WDW this month.

We are coming 10/31-11/4. (Me, DH, DD 14, DS12, and DD 4). Staying at BWI
We are going to MNSSHP 10/31 with an ADR at BOG at 5;
11/1 at 7 we have ADR at chefs de France;
11/2 10:30 brunch at cinderellas castle, then off to DHS for mama Melrose at 3 & fantasmic that night*
11/3 dinner at chef mickeys at 5:30 and party at tomorrow land terrace at 9
*not sure I want to do all that. Do you guys think fantasmic is worth it???

Random question for those of you with more experience. We are going to be in Disney from 11/25 to 12/1. In the past has Disney released any PIN codes (FD, % off) for those dates or at least a Room Only discount. We would love to stay on site (stayed offsite first time last year) but hoping for at least a modest discount somewhere.

Currently debating scheduling BOG into our plans for lunch one day. We have been to The World several times since BOG and New Fantasyland opened, but we have spent minimal time in the area because it was SO crazy and DH and I hated the crowds. Thought about doing BOG for a dinner, but the menu did not look appealing. Lunch looked better and we want to at least experience the theming.

Here's my question: How long have you waited for lunch and is it worth it? :scratchin

We did a walk-up lunch for BOG the beginning of December. We headed there early (10:30ish), our only wait was waiting while people tried to figure out how to order their lunch. By the time we left, the line outside was quite long. The food was above average, but different than other QS meals in MK, which made it even better. The cupcake was very good. We also had a group just get back a couple of weeks ago and they followed the same plan and had the same results.

We are in for November too-the 8th-15th, offsite at resort TBD with a split stay on US property (Portofino Bay).

I have a quick (probably silly) question about the Food and Wine fest. When Disney says it runs through Nov. 10th, does this mean the booths will still be open on the 10th?
Or is the last day the 9th?

Important info as my ADR days come one day at a time and tomorrow's is the 9th :)

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Usually that week is blocked out. The final date on the free dining GP offer is 11/20 and the final date on the Pin is 11/22. As long as you check in on a day free dining is offered, you can extend it throughout your trip up to 14 days. Would there be any way to change arrival date for your trip? If not, then I see no way for you to be able to take advantage of the FD offer. As for RO, I have personally never heard of that for that week.

That's pretty close together. You get a decent amount off food at CRT. You can still see Fantasmic! Without the dining package. I personally love the show. You can see from anywhere, in my opinion. We have the same thing scheduled 11/2 (no CRT), just the Mama Melrose Fantasmic at 3 :-)

Dang blasted online reservation system won't work for me keeps saying there is am error looking for reservations now to wait for 7 am and hope I can get what I want :(

Prioritize, meaning the rder you are going to try and book each.. I would do BOG first! Followed by LeCellier and Ohana. Doing BOG first will be a good idea to get it out of the way since those go super fast!
