***Official November 2014 thread***

Just booked for Thanksgiving week (22-29)! We're staying at Marriott's Harbour Lake. It will be my SO's first time at WDW (and first time ever on the East Coast!) and my last trip to WDW was in December. Getting excited :dance3:

Just bumping this up so I can be added to the list!!

:)

Welcome!! When are you going and where are you staying?

Welcome to you too!! We spent Thanksgiving of 2009 at WDW and it was such a great trip! I am doing the opposite of your SO - I am visiting DL for the first time in January! I'm so lost in the planning of that trip - it's so different than planning a WDW trip! Aside from hotel, tickets and flight (and the Tink 1/2), I have nothing planned.

I'd definitely recommend seeing World of Color and eating at Blue Bayou or Napa Rose!

Thank you!! Should I book a dinner package for WOC? I keep hearing how crowded it gets. And do you call to make those reservations? BB - is thst the one in POTC? if so, that is also on my list, and I will look at Napa Rose. Do I need reservations for those as well?

You can pick up fastpasses for both WOC showings but the dinner package viewing areas are pretty nice. There are a few restaurants (Carthay Circle, Wine Country Trattoria, Ariel's Grotto) that offer both lunch and dinner WOC packages.

Blue Bayou is the one in POTC :) While there are places with better food, it really has one of the best atmospheres of any Disney restaurant I've been to. Napa Rose is at the Grand Californian and has the best food at the entire resort. I'd probably make reservations but they also have a lounge area where you can order appetizers, desserts, and drinks :)

Going to be there Oct 31 - Nov 8th! We can't wait, this will be my 14th trip, third as a mommy and the first trip for the family to see the Christmas decorations! It's an early birthday to both my children. We will be in the cars suites at AOA.

Hi, everyone:
We just changed our cruise date from June 21 to Nov 8, 2014. I cannot locate a thread for that particular cruise, but we're excited that Christmas decorations will be put up during our cruise -- just like magic! This is our first cruise with DCL after having done more than 20, mostly on Celebrity. It will just be my husband, Richard, and myself. It will be a dual birthday celebration. We are in 6170 and will be staying three nights prior at AKL. Now the only problem is this puts us off almost five more months. SIGH!

Looking forward to reading posts from everyone.

Jennie

So far it looks like we will be on this same cruise, there is a thread on it under the cruise meets, had planned on the 15th of Nov cruise but plans changed and the 8th is looking like the one to book. I prefer the western itinerary anyway, will be booking in a few days! I have heard from many people I have met on past disney cruises that have said now that they have cruised with disney thats all they will book with from now on. Have never cruised on any other cruiseline so I cant offer any opinion. This will be our 4th disney cruise, 2 on the magic and one this past march on the fantasy. Cant wait to be back onboard!:thumbsup2

What about a post cruise? When I went on a cruise, we went in the middle of our holiday. We went for 21 days, so spent about a week in Orlando, went on a 4 day cruise and then another week in Orlando. What I loved about the cruise is that you actually have plenty of time to relax, so maybe that would be nice to just get the energy back up after the long park days?

We have done it both ways pre and post cruise before, looks like we will arrive 1 night before cruise then after cruise will spend 5 nights at disney, changed my mind on what resort though, had planned cbr but now want to try out por, just got back from a stay at cbr and did manage to take a trip over to por to check it out , liked what I saw so will give it a try! Now just have to make my mind up as to where to stay for the 1 night before, maybe yacht club or the poly. Wish this next trip wasnt so far off!:sad2:

Can you please direct me to the thread? I only found them for this year which is why I hooked onto this one. Hope to see you in a little over a year.
Jennie

We have officially booked our trip. It will be our 4th trip, but my in-laws will be joining us for part of the trip and it is their first time.

We are going 10/30-11/12 and we will be staying at Pop Century. I really wanted to stay at POFQ again, but we are staying for more days and the in-laws wanted to do Pop. They will be joining us 11/4-11/11 and we didn't want to switch places.

This will be our first time going this time of year! We are very excited!!

(sadly, our oldest will not be able to join us on this trip)

Found this thread today! So happy to see I'm not the only one who plans waaayyyyy far out! DH, my parents, and I will be staying at the Swan for Thanksgiving - Nov 23-29. We honeymooned at WDW during Thanksgiving and loved it. Definitely our favorite time of year there!

I'm so sorry I haven't been here for a while. I've just been a bit occupied and worn out lately. Good news is that it's because of a new job though :) Now I finally got a permanent job, so we don't have to worry about saving up in time. The pay is so good as well, so I don't think we'll have any problems going on plenty trips in the future :goodvibes

Anyway, welcome to any newcomers :welcome:

I've added everyone to the list, and I hope I haven't left anyone out. If I have, just let me know and I'll sort it :thumbsup2:

ONE YEAR!! :cool1:

We leave exactly one year from today, if everything goes a planned we're taking the 10:30pm flight and we'll arrive in Orlando around 10:30am the next day, around a 14 hour flight with a layover in either Atlanta ou Detroit.

Yesterday I made a huge payment to Disney, I left around $1,200 to pay when our 45 day marks comes or to be waived IF Free Dining or some other promo comes along and POFQ is included.

That is awesome! We have 1 year from Friday if everything stays as planned

Last year at this time, we were heading to the airport to head out for WDW and the W&D 1/2.

Can't wait to do it again in another year! Once they announce the dates, I can book the trip!

We are booked for Nov.8-15 at the cabins. I will be booking my parents for the same time but at Grand Floridian. (My mom says she lives in the woods and doesn't want to vacation there too! lol) We just got back from the World about 6 weeks ago and it feels like FOREVER!

We were going to go in June 2014, but with some financial obligations that have popped up, we need to move it back to November, Thanksgiving week. We've done that week before and it wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be.
