***Official November 2014 thread***

The traveller list is updated, and it's getting long now :goodvibes

We decided on a whim to extend our trip with two days :yay: The reason is that we already got the extra time off, seeing that we were planning to travel both ways on a thursday. If we would've left Orlando on a thursday, that means the flight would land here in the UK next day, on friday, so we would need that day off anyway. And as we both have that weekend off anyway, we thought why not extend it so we're back on the sunday. Hopefully the jetlag won't be too bad when I go back to work on the monday, thank god that's a late shift :p

So now we're staying at POFQ nov 13th - dec 4th as we had planned before, and then we're staying at AoA at the little mermaid rooms for the last two days :)
Always good when you add days to the trip! Plus you'll get two sets of magic bands!
:woohoo:

I can now officially join this group! Just booked for Nov. 28th-Dec 6th at AKV - Jambo House! Just DH and I this trip, our first trip without the kids! Yay! :yay: :goodvibes

Glad I found this thread! Newbie looking to plan a trip. The wife and I are planning an anniversary get away (no kiddos this time) for early November 2014. We visited in October 2011, with the kids.
I was hoping November was a good time to travel to WDW to see the Christmas decorations and such. Traveling from Upsate NY to Florida in December is tricky (November can be also)! Getting lots of good info here. Thanks!

I have read on some of the other threads, that Disney has started mailing out flash drives for November trips. Has anyone received one yet? We haven't but I thought I would start asking. We already a bunch for our other 2014 trips but for those of you who haven't gotten a package for Mr. Incredible you may receive a surprise soon.pixiedust:

I received one for our November trip about two weeks ago! It was totally unexpected fun Mickey mail!

I have been able to join in here but got sidetracked over the holidays. I am booked for Nov 6-11 at the BWV I am so excited. It has been on my Disney Bucket list to stay there for Food and Wine. Walking distance to the good stuff!:cool1:

:yay::dance3::yay::dance3::yay:

Add me to the list!! We just booked Nov 15-22 at POR. I'm so excited!

I am so excited!!! We are a family of 5 and we r going to disney and universal for 8 days!!!i have been planning since july and now the 7th-15th we will be there!!!

I'm hoping to be booked for the first week within the next month or so in order to start paying on the trip. However - we still can't decide where to stay now! I was ok with returning to ASMo since DS keeps asking about going back to the "Toy Story room with no toys" - yes he's only 3!;) DH doesn't want to return to a value, DD would like a LM room at AoA but DH wants a suite if we stay there and then it's a matter of what days my parents will be there and where they would agree to stay at as well! We did talk about CBR so that's a possibility and I would probably spring the extra for a pirate room then. So many decisions....
(Our July trip will be unplanned and only a few days since we won't know DH's shutdown dates until a lot closer so the November trip is my big one to plan!!)

Quite excited to be able to finally say....

:cool1::banana:I'm going to Disney this year!!:cool1::banana:

Our family of 5 is going Nov 22-29!!! Staying at AKV for the first time!! Tried to get BWV but they were booked for what I was looking for!

Yay :dance3:

I might book the flights tonight, as they've now been released for our whole trip. Hoping to get a direct flight :cool1:

What are these flash drives? I've never heard of them

I was side-tracked with the holidays for the past couple of months, but I'm back and planning in earnest.
Our dates have been pushed back to November 18th - 24th, and I am planning for my younger DD and 2 DGD at Pop Century. These dates make planning a little more challenging, with increased crowds for the last 2 days, but I will soldier through!

According to this blog: http://lcdwriter.hubpages.com/hub/Disneys-EPCOT-Food-and-Wine-Festival Food and Wine dates are between September 26 through November 10.

If that's correct I'll bummed because I'll be in Orlando but only check in at POFQ on November 11th. Plus my tickets already have 10 days on them and all 10 days are already taken with other plans.

Can you even use your tickets before your check in date now that Magic Bands are the norm?

I'm debating on buying 1 day park tickets but spending $200 more on tickets isn't on my budget. And moving our check in dates will make me lose three days of paid vacation days.

So many things to think about! What would you guys do?

Put us down for Wilderness Lodge, November 12th through the 18th

I got ours on December 23rd, which made for a nice surprise under the Christmas tree since Betsy had no idea about the trip

Which airline? We fly JetBlue so I don't think those will open for a while.

The flash drives link to a website about the new my magic plus stuff. We got one a few weeks ago. The best part of the package was a magnet with all my dates of days out 180 for dining, 60 for check-in, etc). Here's a picture of it:

We leave for Disneyland in a week and a half! When we get back I will be ready to get into November planning mode!

Count me in as well. We have a large family gathering going Nov. 22-29 and we are staying at POP Century (currently). As of now our count is 5 rooms and 18 people. For about half of these it will be their first trip to WDW so it should be a blast. Also received our flash drives just after Christmas.:cool1:

Hi all - I am planning a trip for November 2014 and I just found this thread! I haven't booked it yet, but I'm wondering if free dining is usually offered in November - or if anyone anticipates that it will continue. If so, what resorts are usually included? I'd rather book in one that I won't have to switch later.

I've only been during summer's busy season, so I'm hoping that the crowds and temps will be in our favor in November.

Thanks - and I apologize if this question has been asked repeatedly. I haven't finished reading the whole thread yet.

Thank you!:hippie:

I received some mail from Disney this week with the Incredibles booklet and magnet with reminder dates. No flash drive though. :( Hopefully that's something they send closer to time because I REALLY want one!
