***Official November 2013***

I booked back in March or May I forget now but with JB if the flight price drops after you book they will issue you a credit (not a refund) which you have a year to use to book another flight.

Since I booked our flights have dropped 4x and I now have $214 in my travel bank for future use :)

Wait, what? JB=Jet Blue right? That is who I have. I assumed when I booked non-refundable flights that was it. If the price drops on the same flight I'm on I can request a future credit? How?

Like the other poster, I never go anywhere either.

LOL, actually I still have a few of my own that I'm looking for, but they aren't deal breakers. If I don't get them, I still have ones that I'm pleased with.

I actually am still looking for your Ohana on 11/15. Let me know if you want me to look for anything else.:goodvibes

And believe me I'm not bored; this just means maybe some time can be devoted to things that needed to be done, like laundry and cleaning my house!

Congrats in the extra day. I had Ohana at 9:15 on 11/15 but my hubby didn't want to eat that late so I cancelled it weeks ago. Of course we would have been in a great place for the 9:30 Holiday Wishes fireworks. We now have whispering Canyon at 6:50 for that evening then we are going to tour the monorail resorts so we can figure out where we want to stay next time! Hopefully we won't have to wait another 3 years.

I know it was gross here yesterday and today. Walked the kids to school and took dog for a walk and I'm soaked!:scared:

I always feel bad for the people I see out walking their dogs when it is in the 90's or below freezing. I'm too lazy for a pet, I have enough problems keeping my kids watered and fed.

A HUGE storm just passed by here so the temps just dropped considerably. I still have the air on though because the humidity is still up.

Well, the goal here is to get the kids to exercise the dogs and kill two birds with one stone. : ) we do have Abigail yard to run in though so I guess that helps.
Speaking of, I guess I'd better line up the kennel for our trip. Thanks for the reminder. : )
guess the storm headed your way after passing by us. It has been calm ever since. We still have our air in too..,I hate humidity!

It came and went here. Maybe 15 minutes at the most. The sky turned dark gray and got so windy. Hopefully that's it for today!

I'm in the middle of one right now......I hope it end before I leave work in an hour!!! Can't see across the parking lot....:crazy2:

I almost said the same thing but then I re-read her plan. Two park tickets would work if they are day passes not connected to her package. You can't use two days from a Multi-day ticket. But in this case, Disney would have no way to know she was hopping because the Day Passes would be unconnected. It wouldn't be a cost-effective solution if she was paying but since they're free it's not a bad idea. The other two hoppers would still be expensive though.

Yeah, I see. Thanks!

Well, we're not doing ADRs this short trip but I booked the Barber Shop for DS11. I think he'll get a kick out of it and I realized that its a dollar cheaper than getting his hair cut at the mall. Go figure.

Now I have something booked. It feels like a real trip. :-)

On an unrelated note - we seem to be having a major thunderstorm event her in MD. :-(

I'm so happy for you :woohoo::dance3::woohoo:
I'll PM you when I get home from work

Thanks so much!:goodvibes

I hear ya. My house is a disaster...it's just so hard to focus on cleaning when there is a Disney trip to plan!
Aaaw thanks! The main ADR I am looking for right now is Akershus dinner for the 16th or 21st. I had scheduled lunch, but after looking at reviews, it seems like most of the negative ones are regarding lunch. I guess breakfast would work as well, but I kinda wanted to try some foods I wouldn't normally try. : ) Let me know if there is anything I can look for for you too!
What is everyone else's thoughts on Akershus lunch vs dinner?

I'll keep an eye out for you. We have only ever done Akershus breakfast and we love the cheesy potatoes; we aren't adventurous eaters so lunch and dinner there are out. Did you get your Ohana?

I hate the heat and the kicker is that I didn't even really want a dog, mainly because I am lazy and didn't want to walk it. Just like you, it's a struggle for me to keep up with the DH, kids, and the house, and I really didn't want another responsibility. But I really do love her(see my avatar) and honestly she is the best dog and just as lazy as me!:lmao: She loves her walks but if we didn't take her, she is content to sleep all day. And she doesn't like the heat either; whenever we put her out in the yard she just sits by the door waiting to come back in to the A/C.

TG the in-laws agreed to watch the pup so no hefty kennel fees. And no signs of a storm here outside of Philadelphia. We need something to break this humidity.:scared:

So, wild question I'd prefer not to ask on a rabid MDE thread ;-): we are staying off site, but I do have an ADR on MDE, is there anything particularly good or bad about linking my tickets, which are the plastic card type, onto MDE as well? All opinions welcome. :-)

I think most people on the east coast of US and Eastern Ontario are getting a storm of some sort :rolleyes2

Just heard more thunder....

I heard thunder between 1-2 but never seen the rain. hmmm
It's pretty humid so my AC and fans are cranking.

I'm ready for Fall weather! Just bought a new coat. :-) It will make a nice jacket to wear as we are going to the airport so that I'll have something to cut the chill if the forbidden cooler weather finds us at the World. But I'm really banking on the even lighter jacket.

Thanks so much!:goodvibes

I've always loved seeing your avatar of your dog! Of course I work at a veterinary hospital and volunteered with a husky rescue for a while, so I guess I'd like any dog. : ) That's awesome you have a dog-sitter...I feel so bad!
Hmmm. It's funny, because I called my husband when the rain downpoured, worried about him as he had just left, literally 3-5 minutes prior, on his motorcycle! The storm did not catch him either so it must have been pretty patchy on our side of Philly as well.
I did get an 'Ohana, for a different day, but not the 15th yet. : ( I'm still trying. I'm hoping at the 45 day mark, when people have their final payment due, some will open up. Not that I would wish that others vacations won't happen, but I'm sure there will be some anyway.
That's good to know about the cheesy potatoes at Akershus...I'll console myself with them if we don't get a dinner reservation, and can get a breakfast one instead! :goodvibes At least they both seem to be good options!

Just call tell them that you see the price on your flight dropped they will ask for your conf# and give you the credit

I called today at 2 am, another time it was 4 am so I guess you can call 24hrs

Has anyone check recently to see if they can make FP+ selections yet? Anouther thread started today is reporting that Oct has opened up and they can even book FP+ without having been offered or ordered their magicbands.

I checked but as I figure nothing for me at fort wilderness.

Info from another thread. Hopefully we will hear something about our stays around this time next month

This is taken from a Disney TA email that was sent yesterday:

Guests are invited to participate in MyMagic+ tests based on arrival date and the Disney Resort hotel included in their reservation. Guests invited to participate in the next round of testing are those Guests staying at the Disney Resort hotels listed below with an arrival date prior to October 31, 2013:

Disney's Contemporary Resort
Disney's Pop Century Resort
Disney's Yacht Club Resort
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge & Jambo House Villas
Disney's Art of Animation Resort
Disney's Beach Club Resort and Villas
Disney's Polynesian Resort
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside

I just received my Passholder newsletter and I was pleasantly surprised. It talks about replacing your paper ticket with a plastic RFID one. But then if you click through, it says this:

What Will MyMagic+ Do for Passholders?

From FastPass+ service to the enhanced planning tools of My Disney Experience, MyMagic+ will make it easier than ever to plan, share and enjoy your next visit.

Introducing Disney FastPass+ Service – Later this year we’re taking Disney FASTPASS service to the next level with FastPass+ service. For the first time ever, you’ll be able to reserve an arrival window to access FastPass+ attractions and experiences before you leave home, and make changes on the go. You’ll be able to reserve access to even more attractions—plus shows, parades, fireworks and Character Greetings!

MagicBands – These lightweight, flexible wristbands will effortlessly connect you to all the vacation plans you make using
My Disney Experience. MagicBands can be used to enter
Walt Disney World parks, access FastPass+ attractions and more. Wearing a MagicBand helps make everything super easy, so you can relax and enjoy the fun.

MagicBands will be provided to Passholders whose passes provide admission to Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ll let you know more about MagicBands in the coming months.
**********************

So the part that interests me is the bold part. Three times they use the words "in the coming months". But in that paragraph about FP+ they say later this year. I can't think they would use that wording unless that's what they are really intending.

I'm assuming that after the current test period (to Oct 31), the resorts that are currently using MB will continue to do so. And presumably they'll add the rest. But I wasn't really expecting rollout to Passholders until after all the resorts. Seems like they're committed to a really aggressive schedule. Though it isn't fully clear from this notice whether we'll bet MB and FP+ or just FP+ with our RFID cards. Not that I care in the slightest about the MB.

It will still probably come too late for my early Nov trip. But I did see that some November resort guests are getting FP+ options on MDE, even though that's past the stated test period.

Just got done walking our two dogs we have a golden retriever (Jasper) and a white lab (Charlie) 100 lbs a piece so they get walked separately. We had some bad thunderstorms roll through about 2 hours ago and it is a little cooler but still so muggy..yuck.

Hopefully the weekend eather will be better for everyone :goodvibes
