***Official November 2013***

I've done a LGMH every trip.....yet I've never seen another. I have had comments on mine like "what is FigmentChick?" and "that's cute....what's it for?" And I very nicely had to explain that if they had to ask, it wasn't for them to notice. :rotfl: I tell people I'm on the lookout for my Internet friends (that I've never actually met in person) and that the LGMH is how they will identify me. It confuses them even more than just the cursory glance did. :lmao: Oh, well. :)

I wasn't going to do one this trip since mine have never been noticed, but I guess I will. Oh! And I'll have to share the stroller sign pic with you guys.

And, of course, my plans, which haven't changed at all and yet I still haven't shared.

I've never worn a LGMH but had the pleasure of meeting another DISer last year quite by chance in line for The CP. We had dinner at Tutto Italia then immediately went to get in line for the 8pm show, the previous show had not even gone in yet and as I was trying to explain to Bob why we needed to line up even though we had the reserved seating a family joined the line behind us. Upon hearing me she says to me "I bet your a DISer?" :rotfl:

Long story short we passed the next 45-60 mins chatting away as if we knew each other forever. Turned out we were second and third inline and could have had front row seats but Bob did not want I sit up front

Best DIS Meet Ever! :goodvibes

99 Days today!!!!! Countdown clock is finally working!!!!! lol Woo hoo!!!!!

Before Hubby left for work he said "89 days! It's coming fast. We are below 90 now."
Too funny. I tried to get excited but wasn't awake enough. I'm still processing the coming fast part. LOL

I guess it's the packing dreams I've been having that are bugging me.
Again last night I couldn't get packing right. And then for some reason we all had to dress like princesses for a show. But no one told me we were going up on stage so my black and pink sneakers just ruined the whole look. What a nightmare! :rotfl2:

:grouphug: Novembers coming!!!

O.K. guys, I need a little cheering up. Only regarding our Disney trip though so not the end of the world here. Still, I figured you all would be able to cheer me somehow.
I just feel like nothing is working out, I can't get any on my ADR's (since I had changed my dates from the first week of Dec), airfare hasn't dropped yet so I do not have airfare booked, and DH is so NOT excited about the trip, it is really bringing me down. :confused3 To top it off, I tried snag a fellow DIS'er's CM ADR this morning (thank you camgenemmysmom) and it was pulled out from under me...I saw the time on the screen and when I clicked on it, that darn Donald Duck appeared with the servers are down message.

I have no idea what is up with CM but I tried to coordinate two, one I was dropping and one I was picking up and neither worked :confused3

I even had a cast member on the phone because I know my computer is slow, she was slower than me! She never even saw the time pop up!

I hope you were persistent because that happened to me before and I was able to get in right away again.

On the husband thing, I had to pull my husband along when we went 2 times with the kids. But this time because it's just the two of us, there is hope and he is much more into it. But I do think some of it is reading him things from here and him knowing my friend and her husband are going too.
It could be worse, he could tell you he refuses to go. So the fact he isn't excited is probably some anxiety over something.
Suggestion, maybe he is thinking the trip will be one park after another and no down time. I know it's a loaded question but maybe asking him to pick something special he wants to make sure the family does or he gets to do on his own????

In regard to the ADRs.... Disney is magical and I've been about 8 times and this is my FIRST time making ADRs like we got this time. You will have magical moments with or without ADRs. But my other suggestion is to consider the attitude if we can get an ADR (assuming you are looking for character meal) that's icing on our vacation. I know my family feeds off my disappointment. AND when I was there my last visit I did have and ADR and illness made us have to cancel it. But the resort desk was able to find us another seating that made us change some plans, but it was at least happening.

As far as seeing characters, are you going to a MVMCP? Sounds like Characters are in abundance.

Not sure this helps but I tried. I refuse to live like this is my last Disney vacation. I've done that before and killed myself when in the parks to fit it all in. Only to be scheduling again 2 years later.

Super best wishes!!!! It will be magical!!! pixiedust:

I wish you luck getting a CM ADR. I only changed resorts not dates and am having a terrible time switching ADRs around. I cancelled a bunch that were centered around MK resorts since we are now back at an Epcot resort.
I've never had such a hard time I guess Jersey week is going to be busy

Airfares are crazy I hope you can find a deal . I check daily myself just to see if they have gone up or down since I bought mine. So far I have credits of $142 Keep checking I have a feeling they will drop lower.

Hey, there!!! :wave2: OK...I really can't help with the ADR thing since we're not doing dining this time (I am paying OOP for three meals, and I was on the computer at 5:45 at my 180 day mark). All I can say, is just keep trying. You'd be surprised at the people that cancel even the day before. I know it might screw up your plans, but just keep an eye out.

As for hubby....I've got one, too. He doesn't get excited until just before the trip. Actually, I'm kinda surprised because my hubby has been talking about our trip here and there and says things like "I can't wait to see Quinn with Mickey". I say give him his space. He'll be excited once he's on the plane and can relax from work and real-world stress.

As for airfare...... I see you are on Montgomery County. Where exactly? How would you feel about a 40 minute drive South on 95 rather than flying out of Philly? The New Castle County Airport (now renamed the "Wilmington" Airport) has Frontier flying out....for really decent rates. It doesn't work for us because of the days we are travelling, but it might work for you. You might also want to consider the Trenton Airport (it might be the Mercer County Airport), because I believe Frontier flies out of there as well. Just options so you don't have to pay the huge airfares for Philly (even Southwest is a bit ridiculous in my opinion).

Hope this brings some pixie dust to your day. pixiedust:

OK....so you sooooo don't wanna fly out of Trenton. :scared1: One ticket would have been $477!!! I about had a heart attack. I did check Wilmington....there are no flights on the 15th, but it's still kind of expensive anyhow. I'm sorry....

(BTW - can you tell I soooo don't want to focus on work today that I'm looking up airfare that's not for me? lol)

Thanks! I knew someone would understand. :)
We are not doing MVMCP because I don't think my kids could stay up late enough to take advantage, my husband thinks it is too expensive(well, it is but) and also because I've heard it gets pretty crowded and I don't know how my autism spectrum son would do. SO, I was planning on scheduling a lot of character meals for my other 2 kids so they do not miss out. I have told them about some of the meals and my one son seemed particularly excited about CM's and I have a friend and a sister who say it is a must do to get them excited. I do have an Akershus breakfast for my daughter, Tusker and Crystal Palace. I got France for me and would like Ohana for my husband (yeah I know, not likely) so it's not that I don't have any.
Honestly, I do have to make the most of this though as my husband is set on not going back for 5 years. So, I will keep trying, it should be easier once the kids get back to school. It's kind of hard to go down to the basement plan a Disney vacation (since I don't have a smartphone) with 3 kids in the house!
Curiously, how did you get your DH to go to Disney w/o kids?!? If it were just the 2 of us, mine would would be like, yeah, right, let's just go to the Jersey shore...

I know! I'm seriously considering switching days so I can fly out of Wilmington...I swear Trenton was the cheapest when I first started looking so I went with their days but wanted to book the FD first. So much for that plan, I've lost about half of my FD savings to airfare!

I was hoping this post will help Caramiabelle bring some magical thoughts into her vacation planning. It's an attempt.

There are so many magical things about Disney that even in the rain or cold weather people have enjoyed their vacation. And only one vacation did the rain come for that brief moment (I've been so lucky) and then the sun came out.
What has been your lasting magical moment in the World?

For me it was and always seems to be the Night time Electric light (that's what it was called when I first went) parade. I can't get enough of the lights and music of that parade. And second place comes the Lion King Show.
Now that I started this a bunch of memories are popping into my head.

What's yours?

So weird. I'm sitting here and have the dining reservation tab open on my computer and I flip back and notice the CM reservation I wanted showed up again. Of course I tried to book it again and got the same servers busy message. Weird though.

Oh my dear DISer friend. You have a wonderful start to a magical vacation. I've never been to CM so I can't speak about it. Great or not, life sometimes has us doing things different. ;)

It sounds like you have scheduled an awesome first trip for your children. CM might be your 180 +10 for your next trip. Whenever that happens. You know it will. And it gives them something to look forward to. I've been to Crystal Palace and that was a great experience.

The magical question of my DH this trip. 25 years!!!! We have not been away for a special vacation since our children were born. Most overnights attempts usually include a crisis phone call from home. How I convinced him was this:
#1 seller Disney transportation gives him the option to sit by the pool while I go do what I want to do and he can text me to catch up later. No pressure. He knows I would not be happy just lounging. That is why my BFF and her husband opted to come with us. Giving DH more freedom to veg and I could go do things with them. However now that we have expressed excitement, he isn't talking sitting by the pool much anymore. LOL But the option holds. It's his vacation too so he gets options.

Good luck!:goodvibes

I just feel like nothing is working out, I can't get any on my ADR's (since I had changed my dates from the first week of Dec), airfare hasn't dropped yet so I do not have airfare booked, and DH is so NOT excited about the trip, it is really bringing me down. :confused3 To top it off, I tried snag a fellow DIS'er's CM ADR this morning (thank you camgenemmysmom) and it was pulled out from under me...I saw the time on the screen and when I clicked on it, that darn Donald Duck appeared with the servers are down message.

I understand exactly how you feel. We have only booked airfare one way and it was with SW miles, but I still wasn't crazy about the price. But at least if it happens to go down, we get our miles back. Airfare for our return flight is crazy expensive so we haven't booked yet either.

As far as ADR's, we have been to WDW 2 other times the same week and have never had such a hard time getting ADR's. The only reason we got Ohana dinner, and it's at 8:05pm which is much later than I wanted and hope my 5yo can stay up, is because I booked it a few weeks before FD came out in hopes that we would be going.

I think the ADR's that you do have sound great though. I thought I saw on another post that you have TH, CP, and Akershus meals. They are all great and I have all of them for our upcoming trip. I wanted to try some new places and willing to give up TH and Akershus but my kids requested them. If your kids have never been there before they will love these meals and won't know what they're missing at CM. Honestly my kids don't even want to go there anymore; the food is meh.

And as far as the MVMCP goes, we have been there once and probably won't do it again. It was ok but it is very expensive and as far as we are concerned not worth our money. We would rather spend our dollars elsewhere. Yes the decorations were nice but thought it was a lot to pay for a couple of shows, Santa, and some cookies and hot chocolate. We also went with only our two oldest and they were both under 9. Now if we do a party, we would be paying for 4 Disney adults. Yikes.
