LAND?

Morning
This time tomorrow we will be on the plane geting ready to land![]()
That 4 letter word for white weather came and went before I even woke. The news showed pictures that people from my town sent them of the white stuff but when I got up it appears to have melted.
Boy do I feel a mix bag of emotions this week.
I feel like all the things I want to get done here are not getting done.
Today my focus is on getting those suitcases packed and zipped shut so that whatever else is hanging around will get put away so I can feel less overwhelmed.
4 days to go. Saturday Am is coming fast.
Safe travels for those leaving today.
Peace for those scurrying cause you are leaving tomorrow or Thursday.
It's almost here!![]()
Same here! I'm pretty sure I'll be worthless Wednesday at work. And I feel bad for my test partner I have to take a midterm with that evening. Who can focus on the endocrine system when you are leaving for Disney in the morning!
That makes sense. I'm sure it cost them a pretty penny to make the white stuff and rain would only melt it.
Hey all, I updated the which day/park post with the recent info from the people who are going Thanksgiving: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=49800669&postcount=829
Yesterday was such a waste of a day, had to get youngest glasses and it took most of the day and then had a den meeting at night so I'm not nearly as far as I thought I'd be at this point. We are at our co-op now so we won't get home until almost 3pm. I hope I can get it all together in the few hours I have left.
Seeing snow this morning was Crazy!!!! Immediately after, I checked Orlando's weather!! I'm happy with 82 degrees!!!!!! I am in the same boat!! Past years, I'd have everything packed and ready to go. Just not motivated this year! My DS is done and I had taken a few things out for DD, I saved last years packing list, which really helps. I will get things done today. I am finishing my coffee and then heading up the stairs... I can do it!!! lol
Our family friend who goes down the same time we do is leaving today. He offered to take our double stroller down for us, which is a big help!!! Wish we could sneak in the back of their car!!! lol
Hope everyone leaving today has a safe trip! Have a great time!!!!
You sound stressed! Try to relax, I know I know, hard to do!
Snow flurries here in central va and cold. Almost finished packing. And I took my ds 18 who we're leaving home alone, out to lunch just to remind him of house rules!
I'm still seeing rain here and there and hoping the 20th (our resort/pool day) warms up a bit. I do have the ponchos packed so as long as it doesn't rain for fireworks we are good to go!
My cousins wife just called me in a panic (we are bringing them with us - booked a room for us and also one for them using our Dvc Points & it's their very first WDW trip) because she checked the weather forecast and it shows rain for our arrival day - SATURDAY! I'm trying to let her know that ya can't go that far in advance! Wait at least until Friday. I lived in Celebration for 8 years and was a CM when we lived there so, I feel fairly confident in telling her to hold back the panic for a least a few more days LOL. Also sometimes Disney fits into a "nice weather" bubble. Just because there is a chance of rain doesn't necessarily mean the entire day is a wash out. But, there's only so much you can tell people. It's their first trip so of course they are heavily focused on things like the weather right now.
Rain or shine, it's not like you are in the middle of field somewhere! No it's not preferred weather but...... I arrive on Saturday also and I have no problem at all wearing a rain poncho or carrying an umbrella. 80 degrees and a little rain is better than 30 and snow! At least in the rain you can still get from point A to point B. I don't know what you have planned for Saturday, but between checking out the resort and Dinner in Epcot, I hope to get to see a couple of the countries and/or use a FP+ which is enclosed out of the rain. So ya, panic not worth it. AND I keep seeing the weather shifting. Originally it was cloudy with rain all week. I see lots of sunshine today and I also see it go from 70s to 85 next week. It's all good. But ya I'm not going to worry about weather until it starts raining.Ok I can say 3 days and a sleep now!
