Sheilby, can I join in playing along with your which park, what day game this late in the game? It looks like we will also be stalking you our first few days. But I promise no stalking was intended, I've had this schedule set for us since late August when we booked the trip.

Nov. 15 - MK
Nov. 16 - AK
Nov. 17 - no park (late 'Ohana breakfast then DTD)
Nov. 18 - EP
Nov. 19 - DHS

Just popping in to say we are having an awesome time! I haven't had time to go back and catch up on reading everyone's posts, but I hope those who have returned had a fabulous time, and those who are getting ready to leave are getting everything done!

We had no problem getting our military vouchers switched and linked to the MDE part and our fp+ selections. Using the mb's to get in the room, parks, for fp+, and ddp has been amazing- super easy and convenient, and the kids are having fun with them too. They gave us little sliders that glow in the dark and have a Mickey head and 2013 on it, and you can buy little things to stick in your mb's too.

Well, off to MK this morning! Email me if you have any questions cuz I'll get that on my phone! Hope this helps!

Anyone know when the first Storytime with Belle of the day is? And how long does it last? We have ADR's for CP at 8:10am and I have a FP+ for Storytime between 9:45-10:45 but I just want to make sure I get there right before the show starts and don't have to wait a long time for the next show. For instance if the Storytime lasts 30 minutes then I'd like to get there maybe 10-15 minutes before it starts. Doesn't matter if it's the first showing of the day, I just want to get my timing right. Thanks!

The Car Care Center which is quite near the Polynesian Resort handles rentals through both Alamo and National. They will pick you up/drop you off at any Disney Resort. We rented through that Alamo in February. Several other national chains have locations at or near the DTD hotels and I believe you can arrange pick up from them.

In 2012 we rented through Hertz (through a AAA discount) at the end of our WDW stay to drive further south in FL for a week. In that case our car was delivered to us at the Animal Kingdom Lodge from Hertz's location at the Caribe Royal Hotel, not too far away from WDW.

Tomorrow is packing and then we leave Friday night. I think I managed to correct wifey's slip of the tongue with the secret the other day. I told the kids that their grades had earned them the trip but we were not going until February. Told them I had been looking into it , but since Mom said something I wouldn't bother surprising them. The both were super excited about going in Feb! Since it a little white lie I do not feel too bad since they will find out Friday they are actually going that day. My DS actually said he was sad I wasnt going to surprise them this time.....boy is he in for a shock.....

That being said. I will do my best to do short updates daily. I'll post the thread link here so you can follow along and get the latest news. Thank you all for taking this long journey with me, its been a very rough year, by my DIS friends made the wait bearable and fun!

I suspect we will start a new thread after November ...perhaps for post November trip blues/news. ....

BTW last year , we never waited longer than 20 minutes for any rides with exception of TSM .....but ya know, that thing is crazy......

Can't wait to read your updates and hear how the surprise went. Have a safe trip and report back soon.

I think the night before, so he can help pack. Possibly the morning of, by putting his magic band on him before he wakes up.
I myself HATE surprises so I have a hard time springing one this big on him. We asked him awhile ago how he would want us to tell him if we ever go again, and he did choose surprise. So maybe he takes after his dad on that one. I worry if we tell him the night before he won't sleep.
More decisions.

I love surprises, but I don't think I'd want to be surprised for a trip the day before or day of, too many things (as an adult) that I'd have to do first. As a kid though it would be awesome. Yeah, I'm not sure which is better, getting him acclimated to the idea the night before and risking no sleep, or telling him the day of when he is rested but may may not respond as you hope. Either way, good luck.

I heard that sometimes you have to ask, but yes, they are free from your resort.

The last one I heard about was the tour at Animal Kingdom, not sure if that is the one they meant. You couldn't take a guest though so I wouldn't have even applied for it.
