***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

I agree, there is already so much to do and see. But I was going to be at Beach Club and Grand Floridian for dinners anyway so was hoping to see those Christmas displays! We planned this trip to be a week later than last years so we could see Christmas! And I'm still going to miss stuff! Maybe we'll have to go the 2nd week of December next year! ;)

I had originally planned a first week of December trip to see everything Christmas but changed to get the free dining deal.
We have dinners at several resorts so I was hoping to see some too. I was mostly hoping that my son could see the train display at Beach Club. Did I read somewhere that there was a train display somewhere in Epcot? I remember reading that somewhere but have never seen it again.

There is a little train display in Epcot. I can see it in my mind, and I have pictures but I can't remember what country it's in, I want to say its close to Norway. It's on that side of the park!!

We have a few ADRs set and I'm looking forward to the Christmas decorations myself. I'm kind of bummed that the poly does not do much, from what I have read anyway.

Between these 2 things, that should appease us all I think! Thanks for the back up plan guys! :thumbsup2

Do you know when Santa joins Festival of the Seasons at Downtown Disney? I thought I read once that he doesn't start up right away.

And not that is really matters this late in the game, but I guess I never submitted my dates for the first page of the thread -- November 14-22 at CSR.

I'm thinking not next year but maybe the year after I might have to look at the first week in December. Gotta get saving my Disney visa points for that.

LOL I'll be there the 16 -23.
Maybe we'll "see" each other.

I recently read he starts right away by he doesn't turn into a goofy santa till closer to Christmas. I did read he makes a few appearances a day. I can't remember which site I saw it on. Ill surf around and try to find it again

I just realized that Figment Chick hasn't checked in. I thought she was bringing her laptop. Hope she is having a fab time!

I just read my Disney Destinations email I got today and it lists the holiday activities. This is one of the things it says:

• Giant gingerbread houses and holiday décor at select Disney Resort hotels, November 27–January 2, 2014

I was hoping they would do this earlier than the 27th! It seems much later than usual, doesn't it?

I think they just say that because they don't guarantee to finish all the decorations until then, but I bet a lot of the resorts will be decorated when we go, at least during the 2nd part of our trips.

I think the train set up is by Germany IIRC.

We were vacillating between Nov/Dec too. I wanted to free dining so I was going to try the middle of December, but I felt that being away from home so close to the holidays would put too much pressure on us to complete everything. I wanted to go as close to Thanksgiving as possible for the best chance at seeing the Christmas decorations while still avoiding the crowds and getting free dining.

I think we will go with December if there is a next time, but we will take the room discount (or rent points) instead of free dining.

There is a separate thread with a lot of activity regarding the recent changes in FP+ and I think that is the place where I learned that the Fantasmic FP+ is now really totally worthless. Not only does it not offer seating in a preferred location anymore, but if you arrive anywhere near the end of your arrival window you may find yourselves without any seating period! After confirming that fact with Robo (who has over 70,000 posts to their credit) I swapped ours out for something else. We'll still try to get into Fantasmic on our 1 day at DHS but if we can't then I guess we'll just get over to see the Osborne Festival of Dancing lights before the crowd there gets too bad.

What if you already had a FP+ for Fantasmic before all the changes were made? Should I keep mine or what?

I changed to Nov from first week of Dec for FD too so I am hoping to see Christmas decorations but if the resorts are not done I'll be A-OK.

When I dropped my husband off at the airport Sunday there was a family in front of us with ME tags and I was like "HEY THEY ARE GOING TO DISNEY YAY!" Dh was like o_O

I think I may actually work on my PTR. Seeing as though I stopped doing it months ago.. :sad2: Perhaps PTRs aren't my thang.

I saw the mention about the Christmas decorations and I'm ignoring it and "believing " that I will see all the Christmas decorations .

Hi fellow November Disers!

I am in WDW right now and want your opinions on 2 matters.

After dinner my 5yo got very tired, felt very hot, and complained of a headache and ear pain. It seems like she's coming down with an ear infection.

I gave her Tylenol and have some OTC meds but don't know what to do with her if she worsens tomorrow. Have your little ones ever needed to see a doctor in WDW and where do you go?

My second issue, and of less concern, is that we have an ADR at CG tomorrow night. I know we get charged $50 if we don't show. Would you cancel the ADR tonight? If I keep the ADR and she's not up to going, could 3 of us still go and would we be charged $10/pp for the 2 that didn't come?

Thanks for the input and hope you are all getting ready for your trips.:goodvibes

Only 1 person from the party has to show up to avoid the cancellation charge. They just need to explain that there are members of the party that are ill and will not be dining.

I know someone who has used DOCS, they came right to the room. 407-399-3627.

I know I have read that if some of the party shows there is no fee, but I don't have first hand experience. Sorry your little one is sick

So sorry about your child! Is this a recurring problem? If not, most ear infections do not require antibiotics, so if the Tylenol is helping, that might help your decision. Otherwise they may give an ear drop that helps with the pain.
Hope whatever she has clears up in the morning and you don't have to worry about it!
