***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

Glad the bandaid is helping.

I have skin sensitivity, too, but at random times and random places. Sometimes, if I get a mouth ulcer, then some part of my body on the affected side will be sensitive to the touch. Sometimes, that whole side of my body will feel icky. My hair will even hurt! My skin gets REALLY sensitive if I come down with the flu. No medical explanation for it, thus far. I have auto-immune thyroid disease but that doesn't seem to explain it.

Sometimes, it's just ONE measly patch of skin but that one patch ruins it for all. LOL. Today, I have a muscle spasm/crick in my left shoulder and that side is sensitive. I had a fever blister pop up last week on that side so I'm sure that kickstarted things. Glad to know I'm not the only weirdo around here :upsidedow.

Totally not the only weirdo. I have auto-immune thyroid disease too. I totally get you on the hair hurting. :lmao: I also get the itchies out of the blue. Sometimes I want to scratch the skin off my legs. I also get the one nerve gets irritated and the whole side of my body goes down thing.

I'm post thyroidectomy Hoshimotos ( aka severe hypothyroidism) so I totally get this!

I hope your grand niece is on the mend quickly. What color is your MB?

Mine is blue. Green was my first choice but that is what our grandson wanted so I selected blue for myself. DH only wanted the grey.

So far as comfort goes, I don't think I'll have a problem despite my very sensitive skin. I'm wearing it on the smallest setting possible while keeping the grey outer band and it is loose enough on my wrist that I can fit my other thumb under the band easily yet it won't slip off my wrist so long as the pegs stay in place.

Just received our Mickey Mail & now have nothing else to wait for as I've received everything, well except our MB's but have to wait till we get to POP to get them. We have all our ADR's booked, FP+ chosen & BOG FP booked, not sure what to do with myself for the next 31 days now. :(

My mom always said I have "issues" :)

Your engineer husband will just have to customize them all for your guys.

OMG, I got invited to try Magic Bands today! Aren't I lucky? ;)

Thanks for your input, that is what I am leaning towards. Why do you like CP better?

So funny. We also got the letter in the big envelope last week inviting us to do MB, and we already had them in hand at our house.

I've never eaten dinner at CP, only breakfast, but I like the feel of the restaurant better. It's so pretty with all the windows. And you can't beat the location! We have been to CM for dinner before and the food was meh.

I know the feeling! I have to wait to pick them up at POR. My friend did all the check-in and ADR's stuff. Now it's just a waiting game :rolleyes1

They don't touch if my arm isn't resting on or brushing against something. It was really driving me crazy when I was trying to type with the thing on, but I don't think I have to worry about that at Disney World ;)

The band doesn't spin easily when I loosen it more, but it does turn a bit and it drives me bonkers. In other words, I'm oversensitive to things. My nerve endings seem to be easily bothered by the slightest things. Sometimes I even cringe when my kids rub up against me. If I was a kid today I'm sure I would be diagnosed with something, I'm glad I grew up in the 70's and 80's when they just considered those things normal quirks - although I'm sure they called me something else behind my back :)

Edited to add: The bandaid does seem to be helping.

I'm not glad you're irritated but glad you're sharing. My DD is super sensitive too. I am a bit as well so I'm getting ideas now on troubleshooting the MBs should fussing arise ;)

Count me in too. It's been ruled out that I have any common, major auto immune issues but all my "issues" seem to point to some type of disorder (trouble is diagnosing the uncommon), and I TOTALLY get you guys. The hair hurting, the body feeling bruised to the touch.....not fun.

In the world of acupuncture/acupressure this totally makes sense.
We have a mirror (something or other) point that will be sore if that part of your body is having an issue.
There is a point on your ear that if you have back pain, will be sore and with the right pressure can relieve the pain.

I have some points on my body that one day I can touch and no issue another day ouch!
And of course reflexology has those points in your hand and feet.

Your auto immune issue would definite explain some of your sensitivities.

Giggles. Just speaking from person experience with my own stuff and what I've done with my son with Autism.

This will be interesting if the band bothers my arm. Of course I have to take my bracelets off when I'm typing. I do like bracelets but necklaces can drive me crazy. If the MB bothers me, it will go in my back pack on on my belt loop.
We'll have to see.

:grouphug: to all my fellow unique new friends! I have Hashimoto's, too.

Bah! I forgot to record it!

It is coming on ABC Family 10/19! If you get that channel, you have another shot!

DS4 watched it, eyes wide, tightly clutching his Jessie doll. He is now on his 4th time seeing it. This one won't be leaving the DVR anytime soon...

Ah, nuts. I forgot to DVR it.

Thanks for the heads up about 10/19 on ABC Family!

Got my magicbands today, Yay. And then got the email saying they were on the way??

Finally booked our flight home, so now we won't be stranded in Orlando.

Hugs right back at ya!

I really need to get my doc to revisit my thyroid levels properly. As for getting to the bottom of my issues, it's been years. There are so many uncommon auto immune disorders that no GP is equipped to identify nor really test for.
