*Official NOSTALGIA pics Thread...*

Edited: Duh!!! I posted to soon. There is the same ride in the photo above my post. Doesn't Disneyland have an astro orbiter that you have to take an elevator too like at WDW? The reason why I ask is that in 1989 I freaked out on the astro orbiter type ride at Disneyland. I find it hard to believe that I freaked on this ride that is gourn level.

Disneyland USED to be on a platform.. you needed to take an elevator to get there. Now it's on ground level.

Was/is WDW on ground level or platform?

P.S. you didn't see me here... :tiptoe:

Sorry if I we are getting OT. In 1989 I went to Disneyland and road Astro Orbiter w/ my DH who was just I guy I was dating at the time. I freaked out and cried because we were so high and I am afraid of heights. Generally I am ok as long as we are moving quickly but for some reason I freaked. DH and I took our kids in 2000. This is what the picture is of in my op. Was it high in 1989 and then lowere in 2000? I know it is high in WDW because we just went on it a few weeks ago. I had about the same reaction as I did in 1989. I find it hard to believe though that I would be as scared if it started at ground level in 1989 as I road similar rides with no problems. Thanks for any history on this.
